Max has lost more weight. His blood pressure was better which tells me his thyroid is under control so the weight loss is likely due to something more sinister. I won't know for sure until the bloodwork is back. Then we will decide if we want to do an ultrasound to search for the cause. But it would all be more for info since he's not a candidate for chemo if a tumor is found. I'm trying to just not jump the gun until the bloodwork is back and we know for sure that isn't it. But I know him. This isn't how he acts when his thyroid is out of whack. There's something else.
C is also obsessed with death, coming back to life, and zombies lately. I keep reiterating that when someone dies they don't come back to life but he doesn't get it. He also insists he died once and came back to life.

I'm curious about these fidget toys... are they any toy to keep his hands busy? The other day I caught him biting while he was on his tricycle, so I'm not sure if fidget toys are the answer, but I can try it.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I know for a fact that the vet will have them tomorrow but I'm sure they won't call right away. I did add on a urine culture in case there is an underlying infection that's not showing on a regular urinalysis, per the recommendation of a vet I used to work with. Those can take a few days so it's possible they won't call me until it's all in.

C is constantly putting his fingers in his mouth lately. I told him tonight I'm putting hot sauce on his fingers if he keeps it up. He got really upset and realized he thought I was threatening to burn him. Mom fail.

Maddie is the worst about biting her nails--including her toenails. 🤢 I haven't had to cut her nails in over a year. She used to twirl her hair so tightly it would be like a dreadlock. Once we got her to stop that she would suck her lip until it was raw. So I've kind of viewed this as the lesser evil. Fidget spinners keep her hands somewhat busy but she doesn't always have one with her. I need to work with her eventually Layla pulled off her shoes on the drive home to pick at her toes. She said "Look mommy! Toe jam!" Then ATE it!!! Hork! 😱😵🤢🤢🤢🤢 Omgggggg.

H has the worst diaper rash on his it butt and won't stop pooping. My poor baby. He screamed most of the night and just wanted to be held with his butt in the air.
Is it weird that i put Neosporin on it instead of diaper cream? The diaper cream didn't seem to do anything and I feel like Neosporin is a miracle worker. Plus it has pain reliever in it so I really hope it helps!

wedding I hope whatever Max has going on is minor. I know how much you love him. The other day my oldest asked if the new baby will have the same face as T and DD because everyone always says they have the same face. At dinner, T starts randomly crying that "he doesn't want to give his face to the new baby." I feel so bad that this was probably on his mind for days.

The other day I caught him biting while he was on his tricycle, so I'm not sure if fidget toys are the answer, but I can try it. There are many different variations, usually small with moveable parts or squishy exteriors. Mh just got some fidget spinners, but they have yet to stop Cadence or mh from biting their fingernails.

It's like a Bacitracin and that in conjunction with Nystatin and hydrocortisone cream is what we used when X had the worst rash ever during his eternal battle with Norovirus. Cadence came out of her room saying her elephant, Dumbo, hit her and needed to be put in time out. I put her back in bed and now I hear her singing. She has no interest in sleep tonight it seems.

Last month after taking antibiotics, M had a rash from so much poop one day and after the miracle cream didn't seem to be helping, I put triple antibiotic ointment on it at bedtime and the next day it was pretty much healed.

I took the girls to one of the other parks in our neighborhood this evening. I went to get them to head home and realized a little boy who was no more than 2.5 was there by himself. Everyone else was gone. I thought I saw his mom with him earlier but that was probably 25+ minutes ago. I talked to him and he wasn't old enough to verbalize where his parents were or where he lived. Finally someone came (maybe 20 minutes later). It was his grandma and she explained that his parents let him come over on his own. You could tell she didn't necessarily approve.
I'm so WTF about the whole thing. I'm fairly breezy and all for encouraging age appropriate independence, but not leaving a 2 yo alone in public for 45 minutes. I was about to call the police.

inthekitty that is ridiculous! Wtf to parents leaving their kid unsupervised for 45 minutes 😳. I know I'm probably a helicopter mom, but that's insane.

slenle C had had so many bad diaper rashes. I usually do a layer of bacitracin or neosporin followed by a layer of antifungal cream and then cover with Desitin. Usually works pretty quickly. Our ped recommended the neosporin.

That is crazy inthekitty. I would be scoping out the park all the time now waiting for him to be alone again so I could call the cops.

inthekitty my BIL is a police officer and responded to a 911 call of a kid who fell off the side of a slide an was unconscious. There was no adult with him. Other parents at the park said he's there alone often. They had to go knocking on doors to find the parents.

This exactly, not even thinking about what a weirdo could do with your kid, but what if he fell down? Got scared? Forgot his way home? My mind cannot grasp this.

In the world today there are also people who sit and wait at parks for just those kids. I hope his parents get a wake up call before something bad happens.

Oh hell no to a 2.5 year alone at a park! WTF?
H's diaper rash was soooo much better this morning. Neosporin for the win! I told DH to tell daycare about it so if he poops they are on top of it and change it right away.
