At pick up, one of the moms told me to come to their house for dinner tonight. Two other kids would be there with their family. I normally don’t do impromptu things, but I like all of them so I agreed. We had a blast and I’m so glad we went!

Lake Louise is gorgeous, there’s really just the hotel there and the ski hill on the other side of the highway. But the view is gorgeous. A lot of people fly into Calgary and do the highway from Banff, Lake Louise to Jasper, it’s a great tour of the Rockies.

ETA: I always forget there is the Columbia Icefields along there as well, you actually get on a huge vehicle and can go walk on a glacier! It’s very cool.

Lake Louise and the high way from jasper to Banff is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen in my life. The state park campgrounds are so pretty, we went during peak season, so it was busy. But still amazing. I’d go back in a heartbeat. We also did Vancouver island, but did Tofino and the northern part. We were driving and the fog came in, it was mystical. Confession? We did a orca tour where they put a microphone in the water so that you can hear them. I cried when we saw & heard a pod. Canada has a very special place in my heart and I really hope to one day visit again.

Hey. I kept trying to check in today but got side tracked. This morning we played outside and then after lunch we went to the pool. After supper friends came over and we had a fire and the kids threw snaps. It was fun.
