Morning! Slept terrible due to the heat, as did poor dd. Now typing away at the office, 5 more work days here and three at school and then vacation. I cannot wait. I’m spiralling on where to visit, the quaint towns, what to avoid & have a serious fear of missing anything amazing. Drinks with a friend on the menu tonight, she’s from Austin and moved to my town (what are the odds) 4 months ago, so fun!

Morning! Just work for me. This is Evie's last week of summer school. She also has a tumbling camp this afternoon. It was supposed to be beginners from 3:00-4:00 but the school we are going through called last night and she was the only one that signed up for her class. So they bumped her up to the beginner/intermediate class from 4:00-6:00, no extra cost. It was that or they would credit me and I knew Evie would be really disappointed. Hopefully she takes a nap before.

Oh plus I keep meaning to ask, has any of you girls ever gone whale watching with your kids? Or know people who did it with kids this young? Ds is completely animal crazy and I would love to give him this memory, I am however, a little hesitant about 3-4 hours on a boat with a 3 & 5yo. I mean I’ve never been seasick and Dh hasn’t either, but aside from massive overnight ferry’s my kids have never been on long boat trips.

We used to go whale-watching every summer as kids (my sister was whale-obsessed, lol). I do remember the water being pretty rough once and my sister (who was probably 3-4 at the time) got seasick and fell asleep on my mom's lap. So I would take dramamine with you just in case. But otherwise, no, never had an issue. Definitely take sweatshirts, etc., it gets cold out there even if it's warm on land. |

Hi!
I’m mentally at work, but my body is still half asleep. I don’t know why I feel so drab. One more work day this week then I’m off.
I think we’re having overnight company tonight, so trying to plan dinner. I believe I’m going with enchiladas. It’s been a while since I made them and they are easy. Mh is home today, so I will be sending him a grocery list soon.

Both of the kids have been incredibly whiny, crying messes lately. H has 4 teeth coming in so I'll give him a pass. No idea what M's issue is.

tgrimes both of mine have been in rare form lately too. Which is weird for M, he's normally so well behaved. But it's like he has 3 times the energy as normal. He can.not.stop.

tgrimes for us it is also the end of the school year. We’re all tired, Dh is a teacher and those last 8 weeks before summer are killing, with all the finals and grading papers etc. Ds is just overstimulated and done. Two and half week to go 🎉🎉🎉.

nam2013 we took Cadence on a dolphin boat about 2 years ago. It wasn't 3-4 hours, though. I think it was 1 hour and she loved it.

Eta: I know I'm here for my neck, but am I allowed to go off on all my abdominal issues I've had lately or will I need to make a different appointment for that?

Hi girls!!!
Dude has camp today, I think they’re going to the theater then swimming. I wish I was five again.
X has an evaluation for the school district this afternoon. Pete is working late so I’m on my own with all three kids and the school psychologist plus whatever therapist(s) they decide need to come to my tiny house. Awesome.
My BFF is moving to CO at the end of the week, so once the kids are in bed I’m meeting him and his wife for a little goodbye dinner. 😢

Morning. Summer heat is upon us. N was super excited that there is a new friend in her class. It's funny that she's now a big kid in comparison now that the older kids are moving up. She even told mh about it, which is rare since she rarely tells us about school.
I may go down to a parenting workshop about clutter and purging at lunch at school, bc Lord knows I need help in that department.
Anyone watching the college world series? Wth is up with Vanderbilt's military style uniforms?! So odd to me. Funny I got in there, very thankful I ended up the other team. Our coach was quoted as saying he recruits players that look like America and wants a diverse team, so recruits in unlikely spots, which seems to be paying off considering they weren't supposed to be this good!
