Week/fruit/EDD: 20w3d, banana, 11/8 (RCS 11/1)
FTM, etc: 3TM
Appointments: Next appt is 7/15 - I think just regular check up
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Pink!
Milestones: less than 4 weeks to viability!
Symptoms: exhaustion, allergies are awful, most recently I'm super hormonal, heartburn, headaches, back pain
Rants: DH has been picking up some extra side work most weekends which leaves me with the girls alone. It would be fine but my youngest still isn't walking and needs to be picked up 1,000 times a day which is killing my back.
Raves: We are building a new house and I finally feel like I'm caught up on all the choices I need to make to date. I think my next deadlines are in the next few weeks so I probably need to spend some time on those next. Good think work is slow and I can find most of this stuff online.
GTKY: What do you think is going to change most when this baby comes? I'm a little worried how DD2 is going to handle the change (she is almost 18 mo). She is super clingy and is still sleeping in our room in her pack n play. We have tried to move her multiple times and she makes herself so upset that she is almost hyperventilating. I am not sure how to get her to be okay sleeping in her room because I do not need two kids in my room when the baby arrives.

Week/fruit/EDD: 18w4d/cucumber??/Nov 21
FTM, etc: 3tm
Appointments: shot on Wednesday
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): blue
Milestones: shared our name with people who have asked. I don't think anyone was thrilled by it but of well. Not their baby.
Symptoms: rlp, weird rash on my bump last night (I think from a new shirt that I didn't wash before wearing), lower back pain, mild heartburn at night
Rants: not much
Raves: ready to start buying things off my registry...as soon as the budget allows
GTKY: What do you think is going to change most when this baby comes?
I think this is going to be different. Going from 0 to 1 had the obvious changes. Going from 1 to 2 was challenging because they are only 23 months apart so D was still very little and physically needy. Going to from 2 to 3, the big boys will be 6 and 4. They definitely still need me, but in a much different way than the baby will. I'm also hopeful that they will be able to entertain the baby when I need both hands to get something done and that will make my life much different than it was when they were both little. But this baby is going to have to go with the flow when we have soccer practice or open house or big kid birthday parties to attend.

jnetx, that's exciting! We picked out some of the funner stuff early on and most recently our latest decision was shingles which is not as fun. Haha.

I think we have two 3 hour meetings to pick everything. If we make changes after that, we have to pay for a change order. At least we will get it all done!

jnetx, we are doing a custom build so we have a budget for each thing but have unlimited options which is what is getting us into trouble. It's hard to make decisions when there aren't a set # of options. I bought a townhouse in 2008 and they had a design studio to make my selections from and it was way better for me. I have changed my mind a ton on this house because I get sucked into pinterest and all the good design ideas I see on there!

It seems like they have the standard options for everything and then some things have upgrade options, but we aren't limited to their choices. We can pick anything we want and their purchasing people will get it for us. I don't forsee us going outside their options too much on anything but it depends what the options are, I guess. I really want a copper venthood but I can't get H onboard.

jnetx, oh that makes sense. Ours is a smaller builder so we go directly to his preferred vendors to make selections versus having someone help us coordinate everything.

Week/fruit/EDD: 19w3d, Nov 15
FTM, etc: STM
Appointments: 7/3 for my anatomy scan!
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): pink!

Symptoms: RLP, but other wise feeling good still.
Rants: nothing here right now.
Raves: hawaii has been so much fun! I dont want to come home.
GTKY: What do you think is going to change most when this baby comes?
Our routine. I having a routine with DS in the mornings. I know that will probably take the biggest hit. I'm hoping he handles it ok.

I am so annoyed. I was supposed to have a dentist appointment this morning but they wouldn't see me without written consent from my ob. I did not have this issue with either of my other pregnancies. Waste of my time. And idk when I will have childcare to reschedule.

jnetx, mine almost did the same my last appointment. They agreed to clean my teeth but no x-rays after my OB's office promised to fax over an authorization. I don't remember this in past pregnancies either. I get the issue with an x-ray but not sure I understand the teeth cleaning part.

Where should I look for a dress for a wedding I am going to in August? I have checked pinkblush, macys, Nordstrom, pea in a pod...Everything at old navy and motherhood is a bit too casual but I don't want to spend more than about $100.

I remember them having some great maternity dresses last time I was pregnant.

Week/fruit/EDD: 15! Avocado
Appointments: next one is in July
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): pink!
Milestones: I think I’m feeling movement!
Symptoms: my appetite has increased a lot. I feel like I must be making up for the months of not really being able to eat. But, with that over the weekend came a sudden weight gain that has to mostly be water. I’m a little worried I’ll get talked to about how much suddenly came on, but seeing as I wasn’t gaining anything before maybe it’s not so bad.
Also RLP.
Rants: I’m stuck on names. I can’t think of anything I love whereas it didn’t seem so hard before. I tend to like names our grandmothers would have, in case anyone wants to give me some ideas!
Raves: I’m definitely showing earlier and bigger this time around but I don’t care. I’m embracing it because this is the last one!
GTKY: What do you think is going to change most when this baby comes?
Honestly I’m a terrible pregnant person because of all of the worrying. I’m excited to be able to let that go and get on with life.

FTM, etc: 2nd
Appointments: 7/3
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): pink

Symptoms: twinges of rlp every now and then
Rants: a filling in one of my teeth popped out so I have to go to the dentist later this week and I am nervous about having dental work done (more than just cleaning) while pregnant
Raves:
GTKY: What do you think is going to change most when this baby comes?
For sure our routine and sleep schedule. 😢

elle I checked there. They have one lace dress that I love but it only comes in burgundy and that's not a color I like to wear. Definitely will be checking back though because they get new stuff kinda often.

Week/fruit/EDD: 13+1/ jalapeno/ 12/30
FTM, etc: STM
Appointments: July 9
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): blue
Milestones: HALLELUJAH IT'S THE SECOND TRIMESTER
Symptoms: Fatigue seems to be improving, more RLP
Rants: I had a really bad day yesterday. My organization's maternity leave offering is laughable and I spent a good part of the day yesterday spiraling and catastrophizing. Today is somewhat better and I'm growing more and more thankful for how grounded Mh is.
I was also sick over the weekend, puked FIVE! times in two hours Saturday evening, then slept 14 hours. I need a do over.
Raves: We're back to the drawing board on his name. Every time we think we have something picked, we have another conversation and then it's like, Weeeellllll...
GTKY: What do you think is going to change most when this baby comes?
SLEEP. Lol. M has started sleeping and/or reading quietly in his room until 8:00 on the weekends, which means Mh and I are often in bed until that time, and I plan to enjoy this while it lasts.

run4fun glad you passed your GTT! Will you have to repeat it later or are you in the clear for the rest of your pregnancy? I'm not sure. I didnt ask when they called me with the results so I plan to ask at my appt next week. I wouldn't be surprised if they test me again later on just to make sure since I had GD last pregnancy. But just happy to be in the clear for now!

But just happy to be in the clear for now! I had GD during my first pregnancy so my doctor had me test this time around at about 12 weeks and I passed. She mentioned later that I'll be retested around 27 weeks, so it is likely that your doctor will want you to take the test again later on. I still consider it a win that I passed because even if I end up failing next time, at least I didn't have to be that strict from 12 weeks on. I can do it for the last few months of pregnancy, no problem.

That’s definitely not a name you hear nowadays.
