Ugh kim22 I hope it's a short lived bug and the rest of you don't catch it! klong11 mamabear S has been on a bunch of field trips - they start them at their school once they are 3 and potty trained, so he's probably been on about 15 by now. They do them like every other week in the summer and then they go to the pumpkin patch in the fall and somewhere else in the spring. They actually decided to do one next week before graduation since his whole class is leaving for camp after graduation. Well I guess Tigger has decided he's ready to meet the dogs.. just jumped over the gate between his room and the rest of the house. Landed nose to nose with flash. Booped him on the nose with his head and jumped back over lol.

Speaking of names, I think I mentioned this before, but there was a little girl in S class last year named Poof! Like the terrorist group. Yes, I know it has other meanings, however, how do you not think of the terrorist group every time you hear it? And she's 5. So it's not like this was before it was a known thing.
The funny thing is I have gotten to know her family (her little brother is now in B's class), and they are lovely people. Super nice. I really want to ask them why??
Oh and the little brother's name is a Top 10 name for the past few years which is even weirder to me as a sibset.
PDQ I will probably poof the name later.

jewels agreed, that’s weird. It’s like the people that named their kids Hitler and something else along those lines. ETA: I’m sure I have mentioned this before but BIL delivered a baby with that name. One of the nurses made a polite comment and the mother responded that she’d heard it on TV 🤦🏻♀️😬 I saw someone on FB this week with that name, but she was older (20s or 30s). Still, my first thought was, well that’s unfortunate!

Eliza June is just sticking out to me right now. But we hung out with bil and his fiance this weekend and her friend called. Her name is Selena. Both A and I looked at each other and were like ohhhh lol. So I'm trying to find a middle name to go with it that doesnt clash with our last name to see if it's a contender. But also Selena sounds very Spanish to me.. would that be weird?

jewels I remember loving the dog on Downton Abbey with that name, and then suddenly it was like oh gosh, and they killed off the dog shortly after I think. I think maybe it was a popular name until recently and just an unfortunate choice.

peachsmama not sure how hung up you are on the kids’ names ‘going’ together, but to me Selena does not blend with the boys’ names. 🤷🏻♀️ I like Eliza for obvious reasons 😂

peachsmama , along those lines S has a friend named Elena and I like that name (it helps that she's absolutely adorable). Actually her name is POOF and I think it flows nicely and matches your style. We also had a teacher name Alina that sounds like Selena if you are looking for something similar but not Spanish sounding. I like Selena too but agree with tallb it does remind me of the singer but you probably never heard of her

So the next day A is like "well that's out because she'll get made fun of for it!" Really? I googled. The movie was made in 1976. You think a bunch of 7th graders are going to make fun of her for a movie made over 40 years before they were born???? He agreed he was over reacting 🤦♀️ |

peachsmama, I like Selena and Eliza. Eliza throws me every time though because I have a friend named Aliza who pronounces is Ah-Lee-Zah, so I have to think really hard about how to say Eliza! Obviously that's not a concern for you lol.

ENT says the hole in his right eardrum is bigger than the last time he saw it but smaller than he expected it to be since it recently ruptured. For now, we're going to keep an eye on things. He gave me a paper prescription for cefdinir, just in case he gets an EI from the airplane next month.
He thinks he has Selective IgM deficiency, as well. I told him I was going to talk to the immunologist about it, but he said it makes sense as to why all the cultures come back with common bacteria and he can't fight them off.
