Hi. This week is flying by. Kids had swimming lessons every morning and they are both doing great. It helps that n is no longer afraid of water in her face. H just spends the whole time jumping in... not much learning happening but he’s having fun.
Did i mention my sister talked me into co-coaching tball for N and my nephew? We have our first game tonight. It should be... interesting.

I'm at work now, hoping for an uneventful afternoon. H charmed all the staff by telling each one of them thank you & blowing them kisses after they finished poking and prodding him. You wouldn't even know he was screaming bloody murder when they started. Lol.

So while I was waiting for my OB appointment I was texting A about my plan to labor at home as long as possible. He has 0 faith in my ability to do that. Then I go back and find out that I'm strep B positive and have to have 8 hours of antibiotics while laboring so my plan is out the window...

Also hi! I had a training about sexual diversity in school this morning, very interesting and then straight to another IQ test with a student. So busy day! Kids are in bed (ds is snoring away, I love hearing that trough the monitor, it sounds so cute), so hopefully a quiet evening.

I went from 4-5cm to 10cm in a hour, which was hell, no time in between contractions, couldn’t breath, I was so out of it. And the 16 stitches after pushing for such a short time weren’t a walk in the park either  . |

peachsmama ugh I’m sorry! For what it’s worth, of course you could have done it!!! Btw how does that work? Both my labours didn’t last 8 hours... I second tgrimes lol. I labored 8pm-3am at home and it still took J 16 hours to make his appearance..... If you don't get the full 8 hours of antibiotics in before birth then baby is under observation for 48 hours before discharge. If I vbac, I hope to be home the next day. DNW to stay in the hospital for 2 extra days. Apparently it's less than 1% chance that baby could get it from me. But if she does- it could be very dangerous very fast. So that's why they keep you for so long to make sure no symptoms present. ETA: I just did the math. 19 hours. I labored 19 hours after I got to the hospital. Pretty sure I got my epi about 5 hours into that but since it only took on my left side- I'm counting it as a half med free birth  |

Kids had good check-ups and both the dentist and hygienist were practically in shock at how cooperative C was—guess that is not the norm for 2 y.o’s, lol. Glad she is cooperative for *someone* 😂
We stopped at McD’s for a late lunch for the kids; we’re supposed to head to our friend’s now, but it’s raining and I’d really prefer to stay here and watch Beauty and the Beast lol.

Oh man peachsmama, that sucks. Hoping you get in early and everything is fine. A fb friends newborn recently had meningitis and it seemed quites scary. I didn't realize that is one of the illnesses they can get from strep b. Ouch wineallthetime, hope C heals quickly. |

peachsmama had that with both mine, but I dont remember having the antibiotics that long? I stayed at home for a bit but still labored 19 hours at the hospital so my memory is fuzzy. I remember walking down the hall for a bit but dont remember if I was dragging anything with me lol. In any case, I feel your pain. My OB said each dose will only take 20 minutes then I can be disconnected. I didn't even think to ask how many doses lol. Oops. |
