I took the day off today- using my bonus time. I’m not sure what I shared but my shitty psychiatrist had me on too high of a dose of Effexor so the new one tapered me down and too quick in my opinion. We discussed and he wouldn’t budge. I did ok on the first two steps down but this last one has been horrible. I’ve had four panic attacks two of which caused me to throw up and one I had to yell for Pete to help. He’s been really good through this. I’ll be totally fine and it just hits. Luckily they’ve been in the evening so I’m home. I feel like there’s no point talking to the Dr because he said I would need to come in and he only has evening appointments twice a week and I can’t make it work right now. Plus I’m at the end of the taper so I’m hoping I level off.


Anyway, I needed the day. C and I slept until 6:30, which is late for us. I grabbed breakfast and have been sitting on the couch since. I’m going up for a nap soon. I don’t think it’s med related since it’s gone on longer, but I’m also in the midst of an insomnia bout. Most nights I sleep 3-5 broken hours. But last night was 6 and I think I could nap so I’m going to try.

Reading that all back I sound like a hot mess but I’m doing ok mood wise.

I promised C a bike ride after school since it’s the only night he hasn’t had a sport. On the way to baseball last night he cried and said “we are always going to karate or baseball and I’m just so tired!” I explained there’s only two weeks of baseball left and asked if he could stick it out and he said he wanted to skip last nights practice because he was tired. So I pulled over and told him “ok. Let’s go home, have dinner, a shower, a show and get to bed.” He then realizes he won’t be biking all night at home and decided baseball was better. He was fine and had a blast. Two games and one practice left.

I've already placed an order for store pickup at Target for a newborn dress. I can swing by and get it on my way to the hospital.

Clearly working hard. Just bought a baby jogger tour stroller which was down to $85. I think I'll try it to maybe replace our umbrella stroller that takes up a ton of room. This one fits in an overhead airplane bin, so would be much more trunk friendly. It's in a pretty green too, which I like a lot.

tallb we have an olive green stroller! It looks so pretty with an off white or navy blanket. And it makes blush pink looks very cute and not so girly girly .

Amelia is my SIL's middle name.  She really likes the spelling of Emelia better, but now with GoT she's rethinking that spelling.

I get that. With Emilia you can use the NN Emmie, which I love . But both are pretty.

I really want/wanted to name a girl Else, it was roald Dahl’s sister’s name, it’s so pretty... but the whole frozen thing, kinda makes me wonder if people will think that was our inspiration 🤷🏼‍♀️.

Walked through the cutest boutique shop after lunch and got this. Think it'll inspire my children not to whine?? Also bought a tiny bag of lemon cookies for way to much money. Think my diet will consist solely of them though. So damn good.

Hi! I’ve been slammed at work. They are really sending me off with a bang. It’s my last day here and I’ve had to stop myself from tearing up multiple times. Gah I’m going to miss these people. Ok have to stop because I’m tearing up again.

I survived the dentist and got a good check-up (phew!) She was about my age, super nice, and very thorough but did not strike me as aggressive or pushy. And—surprise!—she felt like I did not need or could monitor/take a wait-and-see approach to the stuff the last guy recommended.

Thankfully, my dream last night about having to get 3 crowns did not come true. 🙌🏻

Now I’m ready for a margarita.

I have an appointment with a new dentist next week and I’m nervous. I hate the dentist and I really have no idea how my teeth are because the last dentist I saw told me my tooth was cracked and I needed a route canal and when the specialist saw it he disagreed and said my dentist isn’t good at reading X-rays. Which I agreed because I couldn’t see it either. So I’m hoping he hasn’t been missing stuff.

Yeah, my long-time dentist retired and the guy who bought his practice just seemed really aggressive...like, I've had 1 filling in 34 years and now I need 3 fillings, a night-guard, etc. etc. etc. 

It is hard b/c like you said, you can't see...you're just trusting their judgement. I feel the same way about car repairs. 

I hope your new one will be better and everything will go smoothly! I have been dreading this appt but I felt SO much better afterwards just knowing that my mouth is...fine.

I went through 3 dentists here before I found one I like and trusted. One had horrible staff who screwed up appointments all the time. Another constantly found things wrong with my teeth. Similar to flamingo I usually had good exams, but with this dentist I magically had all sorts of things wrong with my teeth. I really adore the dentist's wife who is one of the hygienists. I want to ask her out on a mom date. They are hosting a movie night in a nearby park nearby and I might use that as my opportunity.
