Hello! Work for me. I really need to get my yearly eval done but have zero motivation to do so.

Morning! Work here too. Had the last 2 days off. My parents are coming tomorrow for the weekend so I may try and slip out a little early today so I can work on cleaning house child free. My cleaning lady bailed last week so it’s in desperate need of some love.
Sierra has her first home infusion next Monday. I’m conflicted because I had a training scheduled that I have to teach, so I’m trying to decide if I reschedule the training or leave MH to handle the infusion. He’s never been to one of her infusions so I’m leaning towards rescheduling the training. Plus I’m a control freak who wants to be involved in everything.

Morning! I have a physical today so I'm working from home before heading over. I dropped the boys at daycare this morning and saw 2 of the cutest things in the school aged room:
A 1st grader had a freak-out about something - full-on crying meltdown - and a 3rd or 4th grader walked up to him, grabbed him by the shoulders, and started talking to him in a quiet but firm voice to explain why everything would be okay. He managed to calm the younger boy down pretty quickly.
Another of the older boys called Colin over as soon as we walked in to tell him that he'd accidentally knocked over Col's latest lego creation. First of all, this would normally cause a fit but Colin was just calmly listening to this boy, who then showed him what HE created for Colin to play with. He even put a sticky note on it to tell others not to destroy it. Colin was so happy for the attention and completely forgot about whatever the kid had knocked over.
So yeah, I worry so much about nutty kids but that really warmed my heart.

Morning ladies! Last day of time off and last day before I have a 1 year old 😢
Both LO and E are going to the dentist this morning. C is currently taking care of them while I soak in the tub. Tomorrow I go to work, I really don’t want to. I wish C would get the next promotion and then I could possibly work part time.

Ok, so for real, how do I get the whining to stop? She's a completely normal kid in the morning, then when I pick her up she is this whiny, crying mess. Should I just assume it's because there are no more naps in her life and she's tired? If so, how long does it take for her to get acclimated to this new schedule? Probably around August, when we then start a new schedule, right?

Then after dinner he's ready to ride bikes, go for a walk, ect.

Morning! I'm no help in the whining department...it drives me nuts. I hope this phase passes soon because I'm over it.
I need to call the company we bought our new playset from. We paid for it April 20th and it still isn't installed, nor do I have any idea when it will be. I have heard from the installer twice since we bought it, both times because I reached out. They are behind due to the long winter, then the non stop rain we have had. When we bought it, we were #3 on their list. On May 19th, we were 2nd. I sent a text yesterday afternoon to see where we were and heard nothing back. This has shown up on my credit card bill obviously, so I'm paying for it, plus interest, for something that they aren't communicating on.
I get it...it's been wet. But we went 4 days with no rain, so we should be ready for install and no one has called me.
I'm going to call the company we bought it from and try not to lose my shit. But I am so annoyed.

There is some much needed down time after a full day, iPad/tv time while we make dinner, about 20 min, eat, play a bit and an earlier bedtime. It took about a month after dropping naps for everyone to find their new routine. It was about that time that I really started to drill into him that if he’s feeling overwhelmed and needs some down time to just tell me. Even at 2.5, J is forming the same habit, lays on her bed with her paci, cloths and cuddles Pete for about 10min. Total game changer.

I guess I just need to talk to her about it more and help her understand which voice is her whining voice. I also need to be more patient and realize she's tired/hungry/whatever and work through it.

C has a whiny voice. It's very VERY annoying. We just don't respond to it. I say I don't respond to whiny voices and if he talks normally then I will talk back. Then I just ignore him until he stops.

Morning!
I woke up thinking it was Friday and I was late because I’m supposed to come in an hour early tomorrow. As soon as I hopped out of bed I realized it was only Thursday and laid back down for 20 more minutes.
I’m so ready to go home and be with the rest of my crew. I miss M. I asked him if I could sleep in his bed with him when I come home and he said ok. I am really considering it. Lol sleeping with the restless M2 has not been fun or restful.

I tell her I can't understand her when she whines or uses a baby voice. It helps for that one sentence and then she is right back to it. It also doesn't help that mh will just give her whatever she is whining for and it just perpetuates the problem.

I know she is falling asleep faster, so we may need to bump it up 30 minutes or so to see if it helps.

I misunderstood...I thought we were just talking about whining/annoying kids in general, not an actual whine voice. I tell Evie I can't understand what she's saying and she needs to talk normal when she does baby/whine talk.
She still can whine and be annoying AF in her regular voice though. If someone could fix that...although my assumption is that will take about 10 years, when she turns into a real jerk.

I called the place we bought the swing set from...no one is there today that can help answer when the install will happen. Really? No one...not one single person can reach out to the install company?
H asked me for the installers phone number so he can reach out to them. I doubt he will.

when I hear the whiny voice/whining start, I whine back in a very dramatic fashion, “this is how you sound right now, do you see why I find it so annoying?” And B usually gets a good laugh and knocks it off.

I hate when someone has been given a task and they dont handle it so now I need to manage it, no....that wasnt the point of you taking on the task in the first place. I just want to scream, 'you're taking up the little to zero mental space I have left!'

Hi!
Dropped B at camp this morning and then took C to Homegoods. She was actually pretty patient and let me browse. There was SO much good stuff...I need a bigger house to decorate!
I’ve been looking for a nude/blush colored bag but did not want to spend a fortune, and they had a pretty Kate Spade one for $99. I’m tempted to go back for it...I was trying to be good this month because of the car repair and last month essentially being one long shopping spree. Argh.

I have so much rage about them, I’m going to be a much more delightful person when we are out of this house.

Morning all.
I came into work late cause I had to take a leather sheath to some random house in a county acreage community to get engraved for a retiring co worker. Couldn't find anything in the city, so out to a private residence I went. Coming in late feels weird, half the morning is gone and need to find my grove.
It's raining so I'd much rather be curled up on the couch finishing What If on netlfix, just one more episode left.
