Nashville came out ahead in the location poll.
So, we're here to discuss dates.
Once we have something narrowed down with that, we can move the discussion to the private board and link to the threads here, sound good?
I think everyone was still feeling like Spring was a good time?

Someone better go to the grand ole opry and smell all the music history and buy all the horrible tacky souvenirs!

I’m good for spring and summer. I could be ok with fall now that I’m closer to family wrt help with the boys.

Reviving this.
Any particular time in Spring? Did everyone want to try for late April again?

I could probably do the weekend of the 10th or the following weekend of the 17th. Since Cadence is going to have more than one dance in the recital this year, I think I should be at recital rehearsals, which is the last weekend of April.

My only real blocker all spring is my conference, which isn't until closer to Memorial Day. Now it's just about hoping I don't have obscene amounts of work travel all spring, because all of it combined this year was waaaay too much for DH.

If I have the kids I can ask Pete to trade a weekend.

I will hopefully be either giving birth or being heavily pregnant in April...so I can’t really commit to anything atm.

Reviving this. Figured it’s a good time to start the planning again and try to settle on dates now that everyone is back to school.

I thought we had agreed on April Gotcha. I read the thread again before I posted, but wasn’t certain. In that case, I’m ok with either weekend after Easter, which is April 12th I think.

I think I should be able to swing any weekend since it's so close. Even if it's spring break mh can take care of things

I wanted to put these down while I was thinking about it So we stayed on the edge of "the Gulch" in the downtown area; it's a very walkable area and if you're up for a hotel, I would recommend it. It's in the action without being on "the strip". Plenty of places for meals, coffee, etc. nearby. The JW Marriott was amazing. There are some condos, etc. in that area so you may be able to find something like that if Air BNB is more appealing. On Friday, we had breakfast at Biscuit Love (also in the Gulch). Food was delicious and mimosa was the best I've had in a long while. Long line but it moves pretty quickly and was worth the wait, IMO. Dinner was at Merchant's (bistro downstairs, steakhouse fare upstairs) and was great. After that we went out on Broadway ("the strip"), bar-hopped a bit and people-watched. To me it's a lot like Bourbon Street, Beale Street in Memphis, etc...it's fun, but as it gets later the drunks come out, you see college kids staggering around, smell vomit, etc. I would probably avoid staying in a hotel on Broadway or in direct proximity. We stopped for ginormous milkshakes at Legendairy Milkshake Bar, which was a block or so off Broadway. Saturday, we had brunch at Milk & Honey, which was also delicious. After our pool day, we saw a show at Ryman Auditorium, which is the former Grand Ol' Opry. I would definitely recommend seeing a show there if you can, it's just an awesome place to take in live music. If you don't do live music, I think a tour would be fun to do otherwise. Sunday morning, we checked out and drove out to Green Hills and Belle Meade areas. We wanted to go to Reese Witherspoon's shop, Draper James, which was adorable. There is some other shopping in that area as well (12th Ave ). Lunch was Bartaco, which was another great spot for street-style tacos, margaritas, etc. After that we headed to the airport. Generally the downtown is pretty walkable, we did Uber to dinner one night since we were running late but otherwise we walked everywhere until we headed out to the suburbs in my friend's car.

That's the one weekend I wouldn't be able to go. Cadence has dress rehearsals for dance, and it's going to be chaotic since she is in 3 dances this year. I need to be there to keep a rein on the insanity.

I’m not sure if i can go that weekend because Ramadan starts then. It might be a lot to ask my H. But if that’s the date that gets chosen, I’ll see what i can do.

I'm not sure what the plans hold for the spring with my pregnancy and whatnot. Earlier is probably better for me though.

I definitely won’t be able to make an April date - or if I can it will be super last minute since that’s usually a busy month for MH.

Unfortunately I will be skipping this one. We are going to Seattle on spring break and just put a deposit down on a fence so it’s not in the cards financially this year. You will have to find another butt to smack cagoldi!

I'm going to have to wait until closer to time to decide because I don't know yet when my AT for the NG will be. If anyone would rather go to the middle of the desert in CA where there's no cell reception or anything to do besides pretend combat I'll be there.
