And that is exactly what I was talking about the other day. it was up juuuuuust long enough to make 45 happy that the connection was made. He is an odious man in every way. It's like Maggie is going balls to the wall with her coverage of Trump.

Guys. Conway is stating that The fuckers conned the church into praying for Trump NOT the victims in VA. BEACH and took still photos not video. IM LIVID. So much fucking rage. And you know what really sucks? His supporters will be like "Well we do need to pray for him! He's the answer to all our problems!" My church used to always pray for the president and our leaders. Now they pray that the president seeks wisdom 😂

I tend to be very protective of journalists but Habes has disrespected Jackie O so now I'm done with her.
Don't fuck with Audrey or Jackie.

Thought this was an interesting/depressing comparison:
And I’m in the market for a new car again and disappointed by the available options for electric and non-gas vehicles. In 2019.

I just had a pro Trump ad pop up on my FB news feed. I immediately reported it as spam. C'mon FB, I don't hide that fact that I'm a raging liberal!

We will be getting a hybrid of some sort.

It is roomy and doesn’t drive like what hybrids used to drive like (aka lawn mowers). I just am ready for something that is even more fuel efficient and hopefully something that can get me the sticker to use the HOV lane even when I’m solo, which is very few cars anymore. I’m looking at the clarity plug in or the hydrogen/fuel cell model.

Today on this 75th anniversary of D-Day we celebrate the participation of countries on a macro and micro level to work together toward a common good. The world could learn from the acts perpetrated that day by everyday people doing extraordinary things for the purpose of preserving human rights. Not state rights, not country rights, HUMAN RIGHTS. Together we went into the fire of hatred and fear and fought back the monsters who dared to show their faces to become hero of history and change the course of kindness and human decency. Today we have lost our way and that sense of teamwork and comradery has been destroyed by the view of nationalism and selfishness and uttering back to the time where the lives of people were less than lives of our countrymen. D-Day reminds us that working together we can defeat a common enemy. Find closer ties than just favorite color and what we like to eat. Share a roof with those we would in other circumstances we may never have met or encountered. And broke the bonds of hate and prejudice by relying on each other with our lives, there by making us vulnerable, but in that action finding solace in companion we trusted only by virtue of their want and drive to stand and volunteer for a purpose bigger than themselves. And though circumstances may have led to that companion failing to save us or deliver us through the flames of war, we honor them as we would any other hero of this conflict. For each person who undertook this responsibility willingly or by order, ferried us to the shore of victory through perseverance and loss. WWII was not a fight of Germany & Japan vs the world. In Europe, WWII was a fight for Humanity against those who thought to redefine it. Today celebrate the countries who joined in the fight to reclaim what is right. I celebrate those who crossed borders in hard circumstances only to volunteer in their new home to fight for what needed to be fought for. I celebrate the alliance between people who do not see eye to eye but under a common goal saw the call to action to over look the current fight for long term peace. I celebrate those of whatever race, sex, religion, nationality, and credo following orders and working together as friends, partners, leaders, comforters, life givers, and more over humans, looking out for other humans to fight and drive back the heavy smoke that was the Nazi occupation. Let us not forget them. Let us not forget honor. Let us not forget D-Day. After 75 years this 97 year old D-Day Veteran, jumps again into Carentan just as he did in the 101st airborne back in 1944: Incredible video of vet's jump will give you chills

I've never been interested in leasing but in the case of battery technology and carpool stickers it seemed worth it. Previously we had purchased an EV for stickers - it was great on the front end because the tax credits are huge but the range wasn't great and got worse and it didn't hold value. CA still gives you the 2,500 rebate for leasing, you just don't get the Federal credit. Anywhoo, our Bolt is a great commuter car and can still fit three car seats in a pinch. I'm a fan.

I'm trying to figure out my feelings on the Parkland officer who is facing charges.
On one hand it was HIS JOB and he completely failed. He hid. Which to me is inexcusable
On the other he is a human and froze and self preservation came to play even if he says otherwise.
On the third hand THOSE WERE CHILDREN and unfortunately in today's world what happened is not an anomaly
Does anyone else feel conflicted over this or are you firmly in one camp?

That’s on my list to check out. I am leasing right now because in 2016 I didn’t like the options for hybrids/electric and wanted to bridge until more were available. 3 years later I think there are actually less options. 😢

This was a hot topic on talk radio yesterday. I am also conflicted. I’m not well versed in the whole story but it seems like he was kind of less than truthful after the fact about what happened and that sucks. I’m not sure if it’s a crime, but it seems wrong. I want to say I don’t think not going in was a crime, but it’s certainly a failing on his part. I mean, we’ve seen kids sacrifice their lives for their classmates, so I do judge this adult man who couldn’t do the same. That may be harsh but I do judge him. I think where I land is that it’s a stretch for this to be a charged as a crime. I think it is appeasing the victim’s families, which I totally get the desire to do. However, it’s kind of expending energy in the wrong direction. Instead of placating the families, how about some real change around root causes to this problem.

I'm all over the place about it, too. I think I finally come to the conclusion that he shouldn't be working in security ever, but he also shouldn't be facing charges. He didn't have the same firepower and he froze. He failed at his job, but if he hadn't, kids were still going to die. Fewer casualties, probably, but there still would have been deaths. Maybe even his.

Charging him and putting him in jail doesn't fix the problem in the slightest. It gives the appearance of doing something while kicking the problem down the road for the next set of victims. Because there will be a next set. ETA: There already have been. Multiple times.

BUT I feel like its a thing where you dont know how you would react until faced with the situation. Charging it as a crime just feels wrong. How about we charge the makers of the guns, or the people who sold the guns? They were way more complicit in this than a security guard who froze.

Re: Parkland, I’m stuck in the fact that so many people in this country expect teachers to be armed and help stop a situation or at least be willing to sacrifice themselves to save their students, but the police officer who was hired to do that job, was trained with weapons, etc., didn’t do that. There’s no logic in the arming teachers plan.

I turned on the TV to the local news this morning like I do every morning. And then wondered what long ass clip they were showing of the Orange Turd before I realized he was giving a D-Day speech. After I groaned in disgust, I literally thought, someone needs to work with that idiot on his reading expression. My 3rd graders are more fluent readers than he is. It was painful to listen to.
