Good morning. I'm at work. Yesterday after work we went to a friends' house for a grill out. That was fun, and the weather was beautiful. Mid 70s, no wind, finally. Of course today it's going to rain and thunderstorm all day. Which happens to be great napping weather...and is my plan for after work. I did not want to wake up this morning. I'm still so tired and I've been up for 3 hours.

We had a perfect weekend until DD got hit with a migraine around 5 this morning. I don’t know when we will be able to head home because she is still throwing up and traffic could make our hour drive much longer. For now we are trying to get the house picked up and then we will have to figure it out. The longer we wait, the worse it will be but she’s in no shape to travel now.

Poor girl kim22, I hope it eases up soon. Is there anything kids her age can take for them or do you have to let them run their course?

DH and I had another date night last night (both our sitters had one night available each--who were we to choose between the two?!) so we tried a new restaurant that just opened and then went out for ice cream.

We purchased C's big girl bed this weekend so it's partially set up in her room...just waiting on bedding I ordered. So far she loves it, guess we will find out soon how well she likes *sleeping* in it. She has done well in twin beds on our recent trips so I'm optimistic. I will be somewhat sad to see the crib go, definitely the end of an era.

Today, I think we'll just be out by the pool, and DH is going to do kebabs for dinner.

Morning! I slept like crap, I always do when the kids are sick, probably because I’m on high alert the whole time. Both kids still have low grade fever, so we kept ds home. I hate being cooped up in the house like this. Leftover tapas and cake on the menu tonight.

Not sure if it's the age or the only child thing but E constantly needs me as a playmate. When the neighbor kids are out he plays with them but they have been inside for most of the weekend. I momentarily wished we had another kid yesterday

Morning! It's a beautiful day but my stomach is bugging me. I think DH wanted everyone to go to the grocery store together but the boys wanted to stay home and I wasn't going to force them when I feel gross. We filled the little pool so let's hope it gets warm! My only real outside the house plans are to meet up at the park with some friends. It'll just be Colin and me since we're meeting at nap time. That means I may actually be able to talk with my friends, haha.

We're meeting M's BFF to watch the memorial day parade. Then my mom and I are going to my grandmas. She thinks it's time to call in hospice and grandma is scared and not ready.

My mom has always battled depression and gone on and off medication. Well shes starting to spiral with grief already. After 2 CTJ talks I think I've got her ready to go to the doctor and get a new prescription. We lose pieces of her with every loss and grandma may just do her in..

wedding I caught up on the weekend thread and your SIL sounds like my nieces dad. He drove us batty with that crap and it definitely affected the older one who is a scaredy cat of just about everything.

It’s been a long busy weekend. Still so much to unpack, but I think I have everything in the house Mh should need over the next two weeks while I’m gone.

My body aches. I think I’m taking back the new mattress we bought. I got one of those zinus ones from Sam’s for the guest room and decided to put it in our room to try it out. It got softer after a few days, but I wake up sore and hurting, so it has got to go.

Shopping and packing to go back to AL for two weeks on the agenda today. We might get out the water toys for the kids to play with later. Hope everyone has a good day!

The weekend was a busy blur with zero downtime so I feel like a zombie, but here I sit working for the people of this great province.

The parade and walking to the cemetery for the ceremony has done me in. I'm so weak. Its 80 today and humid.

I'm still so thankful for never being heinously pregnant in the summer. Col's old best friend from daycare was an August baby. So was her little brother. Talk about awful timing!

Yes, sort of...lol...we only set 1 up for now. Her room technically has space for both, but since we don't *need* the extra bed, she can have the extra play space now and we'll do both in her next bedroom.

kim22 Poor girl. Would zofran help at all? Not sure how it affects vomiting from a migraine vs a virus. Do you think your dr would give you a prescription to keep on hand?

C is at my parents house and we are headed there soon for a cookout. My dad took him to a parade and golfing. I hope it went well. Sometimes the two bicker a lot.

Took M to the clinic & not surprisingly she has a double EI. Now I’m having difficulties getting her prescription. Why can’t anything ever be easy?
