What is everyone planning to get your Aug 15 LO for their birthday?
Abigail has been mostly playing with her siblings' toys recently. I feel like she already has a lot of stuff because it's all been handed down to her. She might like a doll that has hair she can brush, so that's a possibility since we don't have anything like that yet. I may be stealing other ideas from this thread!

We got a pass to a indoor playground to use this summer. Don't need more toys.

And we are passing dds tablet down to him since she's getting a new one for her bday, so we are getting him a new case for it and gifting the tablet to him as well.

I haven't even thought about this. The last thing she needs is new toys. She loves to be artistic though, so maybe some easy to clean up paints and different brushes. I know I have some from DS that he never used, but need to find them first.

Her gift will probably be a play kitchen for her room. We already bought it and it should be delivered today or tomorrow. We are doing some hacks to it, so we might set it up sometime in the next few weeks. The reason we are getting it is because we are setting up the nursery for the new baby and are going to be moving the glider out of A's room. I wanted to replace it with a fun big girl thing so that she wouldn't be upset about the glider being moved (also for myself...I'm having feels about it. I still rock her for naps occasionally.) We might get her something small for her actual bday in August, but this will be her big thing. www.amazon.com/dp/B01H1HENP2/ref=twister_B01LALE67U?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Nothing. We have an average sized house and some family members (MIL!) who buy an absurd amount of toys for our kids. So, we'll throw a party but no gifts from us. We'll likely take him to the zoo and do a picnic on his actual birthday, just our family.
Ideas I'm giving other people for gifts:
Balance bike- ils are getting Clothing Wooden grill play set Magic paint books Puzzles Books-you can never have enough! New stuff for his room, since he'll be moving up to a bigger bed. Sheets, piggy bank, etc. Green Toys-Water Plane+Submarine

I hadn't really thought of this! She has so many toys and we already have bikes, etc from DS.
Maybe something for camping, like a lawn chair and sleeping bag? Even that is hard because DS had a little kid sleeping bag that is so gently used I can hardly justify buying a new one. She loves the sand though so for sure I want to get her a bucket and shovel type of set.

We have so many toys and so little space... Hopefully we will be in a new house by Christmas, so I am hoping for a play/swing set then. Maybe a kitchen or a grill for the birthday but we really don't have a place to put it right now in our current house. If we end up having a party for him I think I will ask for no gifts or make a wish list for bigger kid stuff.

Depends on what others get him. We didn't get him anything last year, just put extra money in his college fund. Two things I am going to request from others are a scooter and a small, indoor trampoline (like with the handrail).

easternshoregirl we have one of those trampolines! M not only sort of jumps on it, but he'll just sit on it and eat or read. It's adorable.

We bought an IKEA play kitchen when we moved in February, but we still haven't actually assembled it, so my plan is to assemble it and customize it as a birthday present. Im spray painting the fixtures to make it look like they are stainless, putting sticky faux tiles up that I found on Etsy, and sewing some mini pot holders and towel for it. I want to set it up in our kitchen area so we can "cook" together.

He is spray painting the fixtures gold right now and I want to do different curtains and backsplash too. Hers is set up in her room, but I like the idea of it being in the kitchen! We just don't have any room for it down here.

I'd like my parents to get her an outdoor play house. I have also been looking into more indoor large motor things. This girl loves to climb and swing and balance.. Whatever I can find to safely encourage that would be great. Also, she does not have any baby dolls so I'm going to ask my sister to get her a baby doll with all the accessories(high chair, stroller, clothes)

I got him a tool set table after Christmas last year so he'll be getting that. My friend got him a take apart plane which he's obsessed with and I'll be getting him a watch because he's always asking for mine.

We're also thinking of getting him a refurbished iPad to put a speech app our speech therapist uses and recommends. Plus other fun games. It's not a need and it's expensive so we're still on the fence about it.

booarogue I have a love/hate relationship with K having a tablet. It is great because I can give it to her when I need a break, but then there are times where I don't want her to have it and need to go through the process of tantrums. She loves it though.

Inspired by amazon prime day:
A tea set. Cheap make up brushes so she can "do" her make up
A empty paper towel roll. <--- time she will love most.

I would like E to get a doll but DH is pretty opposed. I wonder if I could talk a friend into getting one for him! Ha. DH is usually really open minded so it annoys me that he doesn't want E to have a doll. He loves babies and there is a doll at day care he likes to play with.
