The kids are off Friday so as soon as they get out of school tomorrow, we head to the beach. It is the official opening weekend for the Jersey Shore and we will all sport tank tops and flip flops even if we freeze to death. DH took off tomorrow and I think we are both driving down in the morning to bring a bunch of stuff and so he can start assembling bunk beds and then I will come back to pick up the kids and drive down again. I’m hoping we meet some neighbors and make some summer friends. Omg I’m so jealous of your summer. I do remind myself I will not be drinking all night and then sleeping on the beach while checking out the lifeguards all day like I used to. Ok well I will be drinking all night once the kids go to bed. I am thinking of finding a teenager to sit in the house during nap a few times a week so I can read on the beach without worrying about chasing kids. |

Morning. Classes started so I’m getting through some schoolwork and trying (but failing) at getting our office/playroom straightened up. Pete wants to have a talk tonight that is mediated by my mom. How do you feel about this? Is mom aware of everything? |

I just went to Walmart for baby gates for the other house. There was a car in the lot with a sticker that said “kids up in this bitch” so if anyone has outgrown “baby on board” you can upgrade to that.
Taking C to the doctor at 3:30 because he had this pimple like thing on his arm that has gotten hard and red today so I want to get it checked before we go. DH is heading home already and I would be super excited if I could squeeze in a pedicure before tball.

Morning. Wrapped a ton of presents for dd, it isn’t until next week but we’re celebrating with family this Sunday and a side from a bracelet and a hand, she’ll get our gifts too. I ordered the cake, did laundry (it freakin’ never ever ends), got flowers to spruce up the garden a bit and when to the pharmacy & gp after to get them a vaccin. It was added to the national vaccination plan a year ago and is given at 14mo, so both my kids missed the boat and wouldn’t get it until 14 years old. I wasn’t comfortable waiting that long and paid out of pocket to have them get the shot now 🤷🏼♀️.

I don't know the difference between "wins-day" and "when's day"  Wins rhymes with pins and when’s rhymes with pens.

How do you feel about this? Is mom aware of everything? She is and I don’t mind. She’s part of our support system and we both trust her. It’s probably not a terrible idea since we are not able to communicate effectively ATM. Couldn’t really make things worse. I have messages out to a handful of counselors so I guess this is a stopgap measure until we hear back from someone. |

C and I had a much better talk last night about private parts and whats appropriate. I thought he was just doing it to be funny but he does seem very curious. We looked up some books on Amazon together and ordered one called The Magical You or something. It's pretty detailed but I'm totally ok with that. He's very excited and keeps asking when his "privacy parts" book is coming. Of course he asks on the way to school if he can tell his friends hes getting a privacy parts book. I told him no and not to mention privacy parts at school. He settled for telling them he is getting a "private" book which he takes to mean a secret book. Whatever. As long as he stops talking about and asking to see peoples junk.

Oh and DH has been working late the past two nights so he hasn't spent time with C since Sunday. This is typical but he is still being OTT about this whole school situation and I just don't want him being douchey to C. It's over. We will continue to reinforce appropriate behaviors and he gets his Pokemon cards back on Sunday. We don't need to harp on it. Stuff like this makes me wish I was doing it alone. I hate that we have such different parenting strategies sometimes and its work for me to try to explain and sell my side.

cagoldi I’m sorry hun. I think maybe talking tonight will give you clarity. If at the end you still have a 100% feeling that you should divorce do it but if after you think there’s a chance then go through with the therapy. You know your relationship best and will make the best decision for you and your family. Big hugs we are here for you. And if you need me to come over or you need to get away I’m just down the road and my door is always open to you and your family. The Kids can come over for a play date if you need them out of the house.
