I don't know what sounds weirder - Batmans or Batmen.
I am not on board with RPatz.

Batman. Hulk. Spider-Man. So much changeover it’s hard to get attached. I agree with what’s been said. I do love Holland though so I hope he’s the last Spider-Man for awhile.

Question for the folks who watch all the Batmans -- are these all the same Batman, played by new people? Or totally different/new storylines? I believe they are all new ?Batma/en? and new stories. With new writers and directors.

Question for the folks who watch all the Batmans -- are these all the same Batman, played by new people? Or totally different/new storylines? They are all different. Nolan's Batman trilogy existed in a world where there were no other superheroes or anything. Then you have Affleck who exists in the Justice LEague Universe. I'm not sure where RPatz will land. Especially since they are planning on making more movies in the same movie verse. Or at least were. I could get down with doing a Batman Beyond movie with bringing back Clooney or Keaton to play retired Bruce Wayne. So if any talent is lurking us for ideas, there it is.

Nope nope nope!
I can't picture RPatz handling the physicality portion of the character. Christian Bale is a physical actor. He has physically transformed his body for parts. Gaining weight to play Dick Cheney, losing a scary amount of weight for the Machinist, then getting back to buff in record time to play Batman again. Christian also has a diverse background, and is a great actor that you can forget he's "Christian Bale," I can't see any of us forgetting that Robert is Robert (Just like we couldn't forget Ben was Ben) My personal opinion is that he doesn't have a good strong jawline for the mask and very few men in Hollywood today have it! Liam Hemsworth (Thor's brother), Colton Haynes, Josh Hutcherson, Zac Efron all better actors who have a stronger jawline. Even Ben didn't have the right jawline and they had to use his mask to correct it!
I also agree with you all, find the right actor the first time and sign this next person up for a 7-movie deal. I feel like the biggest problems DC has always had is that they don't think longer term because they aren't a studio, they've sold the rights to other studios. MCU started thinking long term and no they didn't keep the same Spiderman because they didn't own him at the time (Fox did) Also why there are 2 different QuickSilvers. I also think some characters are better in an ensemble than as stand alone characters.
I do hope he proves me wrong but until I see some Keanu Reeves Matrix/John Wick work to get into character I'm not holding out great hope. (Keanu's been my man crush since his Paula Abdul video)

Aww well that sucks. For the record, none of my objections involve his body. I am with you. Most has of my objections have to do with his acting and inability to hide his accent.

I don't know that R. Patt will be a good batman. I lean toward probably not. But any assumption that he won't be good as batman that's based off him in the Twilight movies, I dismiss immediately. That was his first real film role (I don't count him as Cedric Diggory- he uttered all of 5 sentences). He's done loads of work since then. Base criticism off recent work, not early work. Otherwise it's nonsense.

I actually think he'd make pretty decent Riddler.

I still remember people thinking Heath Ledger wouldn't do well in the Batman universe. Oopsie.
Sebastian Stan recently said he'd love to take a crack at the Riddler character. Of course there's already fan art of this!

I could definitely see him as a superhero, just not Batman. Now I'm trying to figure out who I'd prefer. In DC? Probably Zatara. Or Hal Jordan. I'd prefer a Jon Stewart Green Lantern though. Maybe Flash if I didn't already like who they had in JL.

Of course there's already fan art of this! I need him to stay as Bucky though. Forever and ever. Amen Oh, me too! And I'm hoping the TV series does right by both him and Anthony. I've got to admit I'm wondering about the whole White Wolf angle and the next Black Panther movie, if and when. I did read that the TV contracts are separate from the movie contracts, and I believe Sebastian still has a few more movies in his contract, should Marvel want to keep using the character. I can see Sebastian doing a good job with the Riddler role, though. He seems to like taking roles that are pretty different from prior characters. Or maybe I just want to see him on screen LOL I'm trying to keep up with Russo and the writers' interviews, but I don't think they've talked much about how all the remaining heroes are now seen after the Decimation and the five year jump. I mean, Steve was wandering around being a counselor, so I'm guessing the remaining government wasn't trying to toss him in jail anymore? And I can't remember if Ross was dusted or not. We did see Hawkeye still wearing his tracking anklet, and what happened after the Decimation? No one really tracking him, or he just ripped it off? But in Bucky's case, how is he seen by the general populace and maybe even the superhero population in general - both the group that's just back into existence and the group that's had five years to process, well, everything? I keep thinking Steve wouldn't just throw him to the wolves and take that detour to the past. And, now that I think about it, do we know how much time passed between the funeral and Bruce creating that time platform? Time enough for lots of discussions with certain people (e.g., Bucky and maybe T'Challa?). Steve trusting Sam to keep an eye out for Bucky? T'Challa seemed to be in his court, for sure, but how about everyone else? And I'm guessing T'Challa is still in charge of Wakanda, but, hey, five years has passed. And I admit, second time I saw the movie, I kind of wondered how Pepper/Happy accepted him to the funeral. I could see Morgan being fascinated by the arm, if Bucky ever took off that bomber jacket in her presence, but what the heck would anyone say? Oh, this nice man happened to assassinate your paternal grandparents but he was more than coerced into it? He's Captain America's best friend? I will say I think there's fuel for millions of stories out there.
