FTM, etc: STM
Appointments: Friday for 14 week appt
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): we might know this week!
Milestones: 2nd trimester finally!!
Symptoms: heart burn, mild nausea/vomiting still RLP
Rants: if the vomiting could decrease now that I'm in 2nd tri, that would be great.
Raves: we might find out the gender this week! The NP got my hopes up at the last appt saying we might able to tell at this appt. So I'm hoping baby cooperates!
GTKY: What good book(s) have you read recently?
Embarrassingly, nothing. I love reading but every time I pick a book up I never end up finishing it these days.

Week/fruit/EDD: 7w / raspberry / Dec. 30 FTM, etc: #2 Appointments: Wednesday! Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): will find out ASAP Milestones: first ultrasound this week! Symptoms: nausea, mood swings, fatigue, nausea. Oh yeah, I vomited this morning. Rants: I feel like death warmed over. I am trying to focus on my work but I only want to put my head down on my desk and go to sleep. This misery is compounded by the fact that I, apparently, can't drink coffee at all anymore. Every sip made my stomach churn. Over it Raves: I am looking forward to Wednesday. We'll get to see the little Creature for the first time and neither Mh nor I have to go to work after, so it'll be nice to spend a little time alone together. I also have book club on Thursday evening to look forward to. GTKY: What good book(s) have you read recently? I finished the memoir, Educated, by Tara Westover yesterday. Very good, highly recommend

notblanche, ugh I had the same problem with coffee during first trimester. I couldnt even stand the smell until about a week ago. I just started drinking it again last week and I've missed it so much. I hope this aversion doesnt last as long for you as it did for me!

Man, all of y’all that are ahead of me and still feeling the nausea are not giving me hope for the next few weeks. 😫 I’m so ready to feel better!
Week/fruit/EDD: 10w6d, 12/3
FTM, etc: 3rd
Appointments: Ultrasound Wednesday!
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Finding out?
Milestones: No idea
Symptoms: Nausea, so hormonal. The movie trailer for A Dog’s Journey made me cry (a lot)- so embarrassing.
Rants: Just sitting here, waiting for all the sickness to stop. Most days feel like a struggle!
Raves: We’ve started telling some extended family about this baby. I’m hoping that putting it out into the world helps alleviate some pgal anxiety. Not really ready to tell friends yet, though.
GTKY: What good book(s) have you read recently? 😬 The last book I read was the most recent one from the In Death series by JD Robb. Totally a guilty pleasure read.

notblanche good luck at your ultrasound Wednesday! And sorry about the coffee. It’s kind of the same way for me, but I figured out that I can tolerate iced coffee... with lots of cream and vanilla. Which is not something I drank before.

Which is not something I drank before. I picked up drinking iced coffee during my last pregnancy after never drinking it prior! It's what I've been drinking for the last week as well because hot coffee still doesnt sound appealing yet. I add half n half and a bit of mocha to it.

Rants: this is Day 2 that I’m home with DD1 that has a stomach bug. DD2 had one last week. Luckily I haven’t picked up either but it seems we can’t win in my house!
Raves: pgal brain is getting ever so slightly better as I get further along
GTKY: What good book(s) have you read recently
I haven’t read a full book in years but my cousin recommended “if I have to tell you one more time” which addresses toddler behavior so that is waiting for me on my nightstand

muskiefan, I've noticed that I have way less symptoms this pregnancy than my previous ones which has made me nervous as well. I had nausea for like two weeks and none since. But maybe I'm just numb to symptoms now?

Thanks y'all. It went well enough. We saw one little string bean with a strong heartbeat. Unfortunately my anxiety is getting worse and not better and I need to do something about that.

I'm sorry notblanche. My anxiety was high last pregnancy and I thought it would be better this time but it's not so I can commiserate with what you're feeling. The only thing that has really helped with mine is getting further along in the pregnancy which I know in the first tri feels like it takes forever.

But maybe I'm just numb to symptoms now? I’m hoping this is it. I can’t seem to be excited yet because, well, the disappointment/hurt of a mc is so bad I don’t want to set myself up for anything worse. ❤️
