They are sneaking up on us 😭😭😭 Discuss plans for parties/pictures/gifts, please, because I have none.
I want to get him or have someone get him the Fisher Price Laugh & Learn car but that's all I have so far.

Hers is in just over 2 weeks 😢. I’m doing a “one in a melon” theme because it’s the start of summer and she loves food. I’m hoping the weather is good because we’re going to have mini pools and water table outside for all the kids and I don’t have anywhere close to enough room for people in my house. I have no clue what we’re getting her for her birthday but if it’s late, she’ll never know the difference.

Now I'm spiraling on Pinterest looking for a theme. With DS, I did Dr. Seuss. I'm not sure with DD. The melon idea sounds adorable bananas22

I have no idea what theme I'm going with yet. With DS I did a carnival theme. Her birthday falls on a Sunday so we will have the party on the actual day. I want to sing happy birthday at 2:35, which was her time of birth. I'm going to do a smash the cake shoot like we did with DS as well and need to schedule that. That's all I've got so far😂

Ours is going to be Mickey Mouse themed (his middle name is Michael, after my grandpa who was called Mickey).
I think we're just using our HOA clubhouse, but I don't have that scheduled or reserved yet.

i think we're doing some kind of joint family party in august for all 3 kids at our house (we have 2 july birthdays and 1 august birthday). no clue on any details, though. i am also totally stumped on what to get DS3 for a present. i really don't want more crap, but i have to do something. i wonder if i should just get some kind of family experience gift like a museum membership. no themes or any kind of anything fancy because i have no time and it's hard enough just prepping food for like 20 people.

We're on the later side of birthdays on this BMB but I've already decided on a unicorn theme. LOL! I think it's adorable and I found such a cute 1st birthday outfit for her on Etsy. I'm thinking we'll invite a few of the families in our neighborhood who have little ones close to her age.

It'll just be family. I'm thinking either Twinkle Twinkle Little Star or Guess How Much I love you.

We did a dino theme for DS1, penguin theme for DD, and farm animal theme for DS2. DS3 will have a construction vehicle themed first birthday party. I still have three months to plan the details.
DS1, however, has birthday next month I should probably start planning for!

We’re doing a perfect pear theme for the twins because I can’t resists a pun. Just family at my parents house where everyone can swim. I’ll do and upside down green balloon garland too look like pears and then some other generic pink and green stuff. A has requested funfetti cupcakes for their birthday (chocolate for hers), so we’ll do that with pink and green icing. Maybe I’ll set up bobbing for pears for the bigger kids.
DD1’s 1st Birthday was was a time flies theme with hot air balloons.

I don’t have plans right now. I’m not sure what I want to do. I now have two July birthdays but don’t really want to combine them.

I don’t have plans right now. I’m not sure what I want to do. I now have two July birthdays but don’t really want to combine them. Each kid gets their own first birthday party, but all bets are off after that. Last year we celebrated 10/27 and 12/7 birthdays over Thanksgiving. It's easy when it's just family invited, but I assume combined parties won't happen when we start friend parties.

I had plans to combine, too (mine are 4 weeks apart), but both are hitting milestones this year (5 and 1), and I decided not to. Where I landed was to have a friends-only party with her 5 closest buddies for DD, and then have the big family/invite everyone party for the baby, since the 1st birthday is as much for me as it is for him. Edited to correct the gender of my baby

We are doing monsters inc theme. I don't plan on doing anything big. Probably just lunch, presents, and cake. I'll invite my mom/stepdad, siblings, grandpa, my stepdads parents, my bff and her kids, my other friend and her kids and maybe my dad/stepmom (they likely won't come). I don't want to invite MH family because they are amish and have a million kids and don't vaccinate. I might invite his 1 brother and his family who are English. I think maybe we will get a small pool for the kids to play in and grill some food. Maybe we'll get a cornhole game too. I only want to get the baby one thing. Ds1 birthday is this Saturday. We are going to my moms and having a bday party for him, my mom, and my BIL. Its batman/spiderman theme. Everyone is going to wear a superhero shirt.
I got him soooooo much stuff. 🙈 I said I wasn't going to get much, but here we are.
I got him the justice league movie, a batman costume, a superman costume, a venom shirt, a shark shirt, bubbles, a yellow transformer, a truck that makes sounds and has a wench, a spiderman chair with a desk, 3 spiderman prints and 3 hulk prints for his room, a superhero matching game, and a car that he can put together with a drill and stuff (he loves helping his dad in the shop so I'm hoping this is a hit).

notmoose, All stuff a little boy needs and will love! We don't buy the kids toys throughout the year so birthdays and holidays are a bit excessive. It looked like Christmas here at Easter.

I haven't even decided if we're doing a theme. I know we will have it over at my parents'. They have a bigger house and a pool. I was thinking we would order pizzas and do cupcakes with a little cake for DS.

We are the same way. I always go overboard on holidays/birthdays but I justify it by saying I don't buy random toys at other times.

I think I may go with a pink lemonade theme. Pinterest is dangerous. 😁

I ended up doing twinkle twinkle little star. I made the invites and got them out this weekend. They say "Twinkle twinkle little star. You've grown so much and come so far!" Considering, I did it myself, I think they are pretty cute. I also got the cake ordered. A friend of our's did J's first birthday cake and it was amazing. She's really talented. I guess I need to find a few decorations now. I can't believe my baby is going to be one in like 3 weeks!

I thought we'd just have his party at our condo complex club house/pool, but I think we're going to have too many people. Need to figure out a park with lots of grass for the babies.
