So evie needs a crown on one of her teeth. Who has experience with this? H doesn't want to do it since its baby teeth. I say she still needs it.
So then the question is, do we sedate her? She said no when I told her about the needle.

I picked C up early because he was a bit off this morning with allergies and didn’t want to go to school but I sent him in. He was pissed I got there early. I thought he’d be happy. 🤷♀️ This is me with M. Every time I thought he would be happy to be picked up early, he is pissed. Ok kid. I’ll mom will enjoy that extra hour and feel zero guilt always. ETA: I just picked him up from school and when he saw me he said ‘but I want daddy to pick me up!’ 😑 |

Hi! I worked from home today after taking Chase in for a check-in with the ENT. Both his tubes fell out so unless things flare up, he's graduated and no longer has to go. One less appointment to schedule around!
Anyhow I took advantage of being home to get the boys home a bit earlier than usual so we could play outside. Chase is in Independent mode and DH is giving Col batting pointers. I weeded, trimmed some bushes bagged up a bunch of toys this morning (mostly for donation but one bag of trash as well) before Chase's appointment this morning, so I'm just enjoying a moment of rest.
We usually do gift cards at Christmas and again at teacher appreciation week at daycare and we donated to the class Mom's for Colin's class and they used the money for Christmas and birthday gifts for his teacher. I'd love to do more but there are so many teachers and so little time. Isn't that always the case?

mwhip I would crown. I know a couple of kids with them. If you leave it, it could cause issues with the adult tooth and the cavity could spread to the baby teeth next to it.

Regarding appreciation at work, we have it pretty good. We get annual raises and bonuses, but that's pretty standard in the financial/tech world. We have a holiday party (complete with open bar and gifts), a summer party, weekly in-office happy hours, bagel Fridays, and both peer-to-peer and top-down recognition opportunities throughout the year. Managers also generally give gifts to their reports at the holidays, and seeing as this acquisition made my manager a legit millionaire, I am hoping for something good this year!  |

I cooked the sauce and the meat the night before (without the broccoli & carrots) and then sauteed the veggies when I got home. I used zucchini, carrots, red bell pepper & green bell pepper. It was really good. I was interested in this when you posted it in the weekly meal thread. I’m glad I can steal the recipe! |

mwhip M has a crown. MH took him so I am not all that sure what exactly they did or how. I’m not sure they had to knock him out for it. I’ll ask MH, but I would do it.

So if we had let them go the decay would have spread to other teeth and ruined all of his teeth. We chose to sedate because the laughing gas did absolutely nothing for him. |

My mom was supposed to watch my kids 5:30-7:30 for our final walk through with our builder. At 5:40 I called to see where she was. She told me to bring them up. Then 2 minutes later my builder pulls in so I couldnt. At 6:15 she calls and says shes going to the movies since I never brought them up 😐 it wasnt bad but definitely not ideal with them here. And I gave him a whole list of stuff to fix lol.

She said no when I told her about the needle. I don’t have any experience with my kids but I had them myself when I was a kid. I don’t remember at all if they sedated me or not. I do know that the office I went to used laughing gas for my fillings though. Eta mine were on the upper teeth behind the canine teeth (first molars maybe) |

I'm sitting outside enjoying the sunset and quiet (and birds and frogs). All the neighbors are inside watching hockey so there are no sounds! But my lawn guy hasn't come and the grass is ridiculous. I just need to pour a glass of vino  |

Not the same but when H had her tonsillectomy they knocked her out with the mask before inserting the iv so she may be asleep for that part. |

I'm team crown. Back teeth can take YEARS to fall out, I had a ton of teeth pulled in middle so I could get braces. I had one and pretty sure it was laughing gas. J can barely handle a cleaning so we'd have to put him under I'm sure. good luck!

She said no when I told her about the needle. M has had 2 crowns. No sedation. They gave her Valium once, which had the opposite effect, then numbing gel on the gum, then the shot. They just feel pressure for the shot. It’s not a delightful experience, in my experience. But it could be better if you’re not in the room with her. You have to do something because the cavity can spread. Let me know if you have more questions. |

They fixed 4 teeth and it took an hour of sedation. They did a shot in his shoulder that made him pass out. Which went just like a normal vaccine. He cried for a minute and was fine. Then they did the IV. And it was out before he woke up so he never knew he had it except for the bandaid on his hand. |

Definitely dont wait to long. They had to move our appointment out 3 weeks because the doctor had an emergency and in that time it had started to spread. mwhip |

Depends on the tooth for sure. They always turn up the laughing gas for B and honestly I don’t think it does anything drastic like it’s supposed to. He gets antsy cause the gas takes so long but as soon as they get started on the procedure it’s a quick 7-10 min MAX. Also, B had it frozen once and he disliked it very much, during it was better obviously but he didn’t like when the freezing was coming out. The other cavities he did were shallow enough that he didn’t have to freeze. |

So scary. One of my bosses is stuck at a CVS and his kid is still at daycare. Looks like she’ll be spending the night there. No telling how much that will cost.

I saw sweetpotatos IG and looked awful. I hope the daycare is understanding (I'm sure they would be and I doubt he's the only parent). I remember that happening in Atlanta during an ice storm a few years ago. |

It was pouring when we got out of dance class. I picked up Cadence and we ran for it. A truck nearly backed into us. I saw it's lights, so I gave it a wide birth, but I guess they hit the gas as they backed out of their parking spot and they came within inches of us.
On the drive home it started to hail.
I'm not looking forward to having this weather for the next two weeks.
