Josie has individual and class pictures this morning. They allow siblings to come before school opens and be photographed both alone and with their siblings. They didn’t do this at the other preschool and I think this is a very nice touch.
And somehow I forgot to buy paper goods at all last week so we’re down to about 10 napkins and two rolls of paper towels so Charlie and I will be making a trip out to do that.
I have to book it out the door as soon as mh gets home at 3:30 because I have a memorial service that starts at 4, and it’s an hour and some change away. I doubt I’ll make it back for bedtime but I am hoping to.

We nailed down our mothers day plans then we find out my uncle and aunt and 2 grand kids are coming into town for it. And my sil blocked out all of Sunday for my brothers mom and her mom but didnt give a thought to my mom and will only do something Saturday. So my hormonal ass is a blubbering mess about the whole thing.

Being pregnant is fun.

Is your mom your brother's step mom? Sorry for the drama, this is why we don't plan mother's day stuff, we just hang out the 5 of us unless MH takes the kids to see his mom to give me some quiet time.

Yes. And although they didn't get along when he was a teenager, she watches his kids 2-3 evenings a week and they adore her. It's just shitty to me to not think to make plans with her.

We had the worst weekend with B, so it has turned us all into mad messes. MH and I go from talking to semi-fighting about how to deal with him, we need to meet in the middle but we’re on either side of the discipline spectrum right now. So annoyed that I have to start my week like this.

Morning. I was up too late shopping but I got a micro maxi scooter for essentially $50 bc Neiman Marcus (random) had them on sale, plus 15% cash back, and I had a $50 gift card. Now we need to teach N to use the other scooter and we can be set! Still on the hunt for a bike for j, but this is a good option for us to do as a family since we don't all have bikes.

I'm in an online training today til 2 and then my 20 week appt this afternoon (team green still). Guess I should focus..

Re: Mother's day, I wish I could do what you do wineallthetime but my mom's feelings get hurt if we don't spend it with her. So mother's day becomes 0% about me and 100% about her. My dad said that she wants to go out to eat somewhere. B is at that awful restaurant age so that is not particularly relaxing or enjoyable for me. So we will see what happens.

My office mate was out on Friday because her daughter had a stomach bug(12 kids and the teacher all had it!) So then, she texts me Saturday that she has it now, but the daughter is feeling better. What are the chances I'm now going to get it from her being here today? I better not get it.

I’m sitting around waiting for IT to fix my computer.

I got C all dressed and cute for picture day today He didn’t have any nicer clothes that fit so I bought this one outfit. Turns out picture day is tomorrow. Looks like I’ll have to wash it tonight. He was thrilled though and asked if he could mess his hair up now!

This is the second time in less than a week that I’ve messed a date up. If that’s not a symptom of being exhausted by life management, I don’t know what is!

Also in the past 24 hours I have purchased clothes from Loft Outlet and Target. I also purchased the iPhone XS. My phone has been being a turd lately and it’s paid off so I figured why not. It gets delivered tomorrow. Bye bye money!

Ugh my post above was timely. My dad just called me and said my mom was upset b/c I didn't get her a birthday card (her birthday was last week), and I didn't want to go out to eat on mother's day. She apparently got mad at my poor dad and told him it was all his fault b/c he didn't "make sure" I got her a card or something. I'm 45. How on earth my father is in trouble for this, I have no idea, but whatever. I feel bad for him b/c he's stuck listening to this crap.

For the past many years, I have done 1 thing for her birthday/mother's day since they are a week apart. I called her on her birthday. Twice. Once on my drive to work to wish her a happy birthday and then later when the kids were with me we facetimed so they could sing to her.

She knows how hard my life has been with MH gone for the past 3 months and with both B and I sick for the past 6 weeks. She's so fucking selfish and I am so tired of it.

And I can't bring anything up to her b/c my dad said she would be mad at him for calling me.

So now, I am sitting in my office with my door closed crying.

Wow! That is pretty selfish of her. YH won't be back yet right? Can you send the boys and tell her that it is a 2 for mother's day where you get alone time because you have been so stressed and that her grandbabies spoil her?

Thanks for remembering for me.. I was thinking hmm... is this the one I used? But yes, I did like it. I haven’t used it in a while but I thought it gave a natural looking glow and doesn’t stink.

Morning. I had to wake N up at 8:15, girl was tired. Dropped her off at school and came home and went on a walk with H and the dog. Now I’m home and trying to plan my week.

Dh and I want to buy something for our family for summer time, either a camper or a pontoon. Not sure what the right decision is but we’ve been thinking about it for a couple of years. Well, yesterday, my sister and BIL bought a cabin on a nice lake about 20 minutes away and said we could keep a boat there if we got one, so now we’re really leaning that way. I think it would be a lot of fun, but I just hope we’d get enough use of out it.

It won't help, and I literally told S last night that we were going to order Gardenias for mothers day for her tonight (they are the only flower that she is not allergic to).  It's what I do most years for her...
