I’ve been up since 4am with insomnia and tossed and turned most of the night. I’m going to require a lot of caffeine today!
After work a group of us are going out for an early Cinco de Mayo girls night. It should be fun. I just hope when I get home that the house isn’t a wreck. Last night o was quite annoyed that when Dh came back from baseball that he immediately sat down and didn’t move a muscle until after C was in bed so I had to do lunches,dishes, get the kid to bed, etc. I’m giving Dh one more night of that shit before I say something. It’s great he can leave work early to do baseball practice on Thursdays. But I leave work early twice a week for karate and can still manage basic house duties when I get home. It’s the age old issue of he will do something if I ask but doesn’t think to do it on his own. It’s baffling because I know if he was running around trying to manage all this stuff whilst playing indoor soccer with C, I would get up and help. Yet he just sits there.
Rant over.

Ugh wedding, I hope you sleep better tonight! We are starting the long drive home today. Drinking a cup of coffee before a shower and trying to pack all our shit up. SMIL sent me a text yesterday asking if we were sad to be headed home today and I'm kind of ready to be home. We are all sunburnt, have eaten too much crap and miss the dogs. Staying in Memphis again tonight I believe, it's a good halfway point. |

I'm going to try really hard to get to boot camp at 10:30. A is really cranky though, so we'll see. He's not usually cranky so not sure what his deal is.

I'm happy it's Friday but I work this weekend. So, meh. I really wish I didn't have to work.
It's supposed to be beautiful. Hopefully that will encourage my leadership to let us out at decent times.

Morning! wedding Not cool H. Hope your coffee has kicked in. Insomnia is the worst. mwhip Safe travels today. TGIF. Today is M’s last day of soccer at school, so I’m going to the scrimmage to see his progress. Then we have baseball and family movie night in our neighborhood where they set up a big screen projector on an empty lot and have snacks and drinks for everyone. Should be fun. Hope everyone has a good day today! |

Totally agree on the home front issues. I’ve seriously considered doing this to my trash can because MH will continue to stuff it beyond what will fit before he will take the trash out...  |

FRIDAY!!! MH is on a plane home and will have a few hours to nap/relax before we get home from work. It is supposed to be gloomy all weekend so not sure what we will do to entertain ourselves

I'm so ready for Friday. I think I'm more excited than the kids are for pizza and movie night. Just need to get my final project done this weekend and then have a little break before summer classes start.
We have a lot to do this weekend. We are in dire need of a lawn mower since our yard is turning into "that" yard, tball, flower Mart festival at the cathedral, and community meeting to protest the beltway expansion, and an os game for the boys. I'd like to sleep, clean, and exercise too.

You should see our T Ball games... the kids swing 3 times and miss the ball sitting right in front of them, then they connect and forget which way to run, etc. M looks like a little professional compared to what I see! |

Fuck that shit. I didn't marry a 12 yo. I shouldn't have to ask him to do chores. And peachsmama the garbage on the counter fucking infuriates me. Are you leaving the wrapper from the medicine on the counter to try to garner sympathy from me that you needed Nyquil? Because I don't give a fuck. The trash can was 1 foot away--throw it out. Although I can give MH credit that this week the chore distribution has been more equal. I think he knew that I wasn't thrilled about the house when I got home from Denver. To be fair it wasn't horrible, but you know what, this was the first time ever that I've gone away for a girl's weekend and the purpose of recharging is diminished if I have to come home to a mess to clean up. |

Don't fuck with the Chuck. klong11 I had to Google after you mentioned that. I do not approve. It looks ridiculous. They were clearly going for more sinister, but the whole point of Chucky is he's an innocent looking doll, a toy. No one would buy that ugly thing. Child's Play 2 was the first horror movie I saw. I was probably 9. I owned the first 3 on VHS. I think I've seen al the other ridiculous ones at one point or another on cable.
