Today is mh’s birthday. I just finished making his dessert for tonight, and I’m super excited to give him his presents! We have gymnastics in a bit, and then I’ll take the kids to the library and to grab lunch.

Good Morning!! E seems better. I’m sure she will still have lots of poop but she’s going to DC.
I could use 1 more day but I have a walk this morning, get to test something new out, and then I have a mandatory class to go to. So I’m heading in. I can drink fluids without feeling sick and my body doesn’t hurt to move.

chrisy01 did I miss how the conversation went yesterday ? Didn’t happen. I was too sick to go into work. It’s happening today. I have to sneak some time in. Probably after the test.

It's our last day here. Told evie she gets to pick what we do. Going to get donuts this morning then hitting the beach.
Our dog sitter sucks, she leaves the house at 9 or 10 in the morning and doesn't get home till around 11 every night. I'm going to see if my mom can go by and let them out a few time during the day.

I'm currently on season 2 of unbreakable kimmy schmidt. Not a big one you need to see the acting for, if you know what I mean.

Morning time. Going to be 87 or something ridiculous today. I just saw a certifikid deal for British swim school, so may sign the kids up for that. The county programs are impossible to register for and I'm getting anxious that j still kind of sucks at it..

Just out of curiosity, how many swim lessons do kids have untill they are able to swim according to us guidelines? An estimate of course. ETA tallb ETA 2 over her about 97% of the kids have a swimming diploma by the time they’re 11. It takes about 1.5-2 years (1 hour long lesson per week) to get this diploma. Oh and they advise to to start before 5 🤔.

guster what'd you get him? tallb I signed S up for camp this summer and 99% of the reason I chose the specific camp I did is b/c they have swim lessons 4 days a week. We did swim lessons with him when he was a toddler and then once I had B I stopped b/c of scheduling and we never went back. I'm hoping by the end of the summer he is proficient. nam2013 I don't think there are any guidelines for that here. Someone else may know something I don't.

Morning!
X’s therapy last night went well, better than expected. They did say that he doesn’t have any behavioral concerns and agreed to cut him down from eight hours/week to five instead because his needs are so minimal and they will mostly work on strategies for improving expressive communication.
I have a meeting with my psychiatrist this afternoon.
Then, it’s Open House at Dude’s elementary.

Hmm I am just going by my standards and he's not able to swim right now and I don't know how to teach him properly, so he is getting lessons. I want to be able to sit at the pool and watch him swim and not be panicked he's going to drown. Ideally he will learn multiple strokes, but goal #1 is water safety for me. ETA: I won't force my kids to play sports (but I may be heartbroken if they don't), but I will force swimming. I view it as a life skill, not a sport, although it def is. Full disclosure, I'm hoping my kids aren't into swim team, so many early mornings!

I could not get T into swim lessons, it’s so hard. I inquired about private lessons and it was $379 for 4 lessons, 30 minutes each. I believe my reply was “I didn’t realize Michael Phelps gave beginner lessons in this area.” I had a wonderful swim teacher for my older 2 who did private lessons at my friend’s house for $20 a lesson for a 30 minute private lesson. They are both strong swimmers.

We just started B in swim lessons last October so he was just about 5, and went once a week for 30 minutes and he's already 'caught up' and cannot get moved to the next level until he is 6. So we're taking a break until October, he'll have a refresher at the lower level and then when he's 6 he'll be moved up. There are year round swim clubs here that do lessons and really push the kids but that's bordering on swim team and I'm just not there. tallb I was really worried about starting B later compared to other kids and him being so behind but he caught on really fast with just doing once a week, I think this is a good age to start learning skills as opposed to just getting comfortable with the water, splashing, underwater etc, which I've seen form the younger classes.

I have put H in the parks and rec swim classes for the last 2 summers and I plan to do the same this year (S is finally old enough now). I want to get her into regular lessons though because these are 1 week, every day for 30 or 45 minutes. She does love going and thinks it’s fun.

Hi ladies. Good luck today chrisy01. Glad Miss E is better. I'm supposed to be in a workshop this morning but I have so much to do at work I'm ditching it in attempts to knock out some reports. I love swimming with the girls. I'm looking forward to more of that this summer.

Waiting to be seen at the ob. I ran all my errands this morning so I'll grab lunch and head home. Really hoping to get a nap in.
I was in so much pain last night I asked A to rub my back for a few minutes. He got out a massager and used it for an hour. How do I trick him into making this a nightly thing???

Full disclosure, for "any" sport, it will be guided selection. J is in t-ball, but I bet I'll be signing up N for spring lacrosse if she is interested and I'm hoping for field hockey over soccer if I can..granted if she's tall, I should get her into volleyball, rowing, and basketball.
