To clarify: it’s unique now that there’s an American in the BRF. I would not want to go and have said a few times I wouldn’t get why anyone would want to given who the dinner guests are. Nightmare.

I'm rather disappointed in Tiffany. As far as I could tell (and admittedly, living in Australia limits my exposure to coverage by quite a bit) I thought she was not involved in the her Dad's business as President. I mean I would definitely be there for a chance to meet the Queen & Prince Charles, but still, I thought she was not a part of the nightmare that is this presidency.

I can’t stand Ivanka - it pisses me off that she, yet again, gets to benefit from simply being her dad’s daughter. White women who stand by and benefit from their white male “protectors,” really angers me. Her dad enacts and supports policies that are harmful to minorities, women, refugees, and other oppressed groups, but Ivanka gets to shut her mouth and go to a state dinner in London. Ugh.
I feel doubly bad for Kate having to be polite and respectful towards Trump/his kids, when he has been so rude and crass to her over social media. The whole situation is gross.

I think the bigger question is are the American taxpayers footing the bill for the extended family? (I have no objections to paying for Baron to attend with is parents, but the other kids are all adults and rich enough to pay for their own trip to London.) |

Ugh I know they can't give their political opinions but I would LOVE it if they refused to meet with the Trump family or even just refused to give them a state banquet. As an American, I would 1000% support that kind of stance against the Trump family. A girl can dream.
