At the second airport headed to Denver. I got up at 3:15 this morning and Denver is two hours behind so I will be dead this afternoon. Dh is on home/kid management until Sunday evening and I couldn’t be more thrilled. He’s cared for C a ton and does it while I travel for work but never over a weekend too and there’s a lot going on so I sent him an itinerary of everything he needs to do and get C to this weekend. It’s nice to throw him a little taste of all the work that goes into things. I expect he will be tired when I get back. How are you all doing? How are you feeling today jewels? It’s ok to be overwhelmed and cry a bit. I hope you get some relief soon. How is H today tgrimes? I wish everyone could come to Denver. Hopefully this will go great and we can plan future trips to meet everyone. Also I told a few IRL people about my internet friends. They are preparing their statements for Dateline in case I’m never seen from again! |

He went between "poor me, this weekend is going to suck" and "stop worrying, I can take care of our kids!" My dad said "I think this whole thing is weird, but I hope you have fun" lol. I told most people it was just a girls weekend away. My sitter thinks it's awesome that we have this "village" |

I’m a campground whit shoddy reception and no way to charge my phone. I’m stinking jealous of all you girls who are heading to Denver and wish you soooooo much fun! Please let us life vicariously!
Plus, it is hard to explain to people, but I’m with peaches sitter, even tough you girls are far away, you are part of my village!

Morning! I'm not heading to the airport until midday so I'm working and heading to see the ortho in a bit. I'm mostly packed, though DH kicked me out so he could take a conference call without me making all kinds of noise in the background. LOL. I dropped the boys off so I could get last minute hugs and now I'm "working" but really trying to think through what else I need to pack. Over pack, to be more exact.
I need to make a shopping list for DH. I think he's got everything else covered - though I'll be shocked if he does laundry (I should prob toss in a load now) but he somehow can't grocery shop without me telling him exactly what to buy. Even though he does 90% of the cooking...

Safe travels and have fun to everyone heading to Denver! MH knows about you girls but no one else does. I do know my sister met up with girls she met through the knot a long time ago. She was living out of state while planning her wedding and they were near her. We owe our success in life to internet strangers though. Way back when chat rooms were new, H met some woman in one who lived in Texas but worked for a company in California. She hooked him up with his first grown up job that has lead him to where he is now.
Is anyone who is not traveling doing take your kids to work day? MH took the middle two. My oldest has state testing starting today so I didn’t let him go. T was super excited to ride the bus to NYC. His company has planned a full day of events. DD went to bed so excited but woke up nervous and I almost thought she was going to change her mind but she went.

Have fun ladies! Wish I could have joined, but since we are going to Alabama, it wouldn't have worked out. kim22 is today take your kid to work day? No one at my office does that, but I think Evie would enjoy it. I have to leave early to go pick my H up from work, he's leaving his work truck at his work for next week, so he needs to drive his car tomorrow. I need to start making a list of everything I need to get done before we leave Saturday. H seems to think we HAVE to attend an HOA meeting Friday evening. Um, no, we don't. I need to mow the yard, do laundry, clean the fridge, pack, etc. |

I wish I could go but I’m glad I didn’t. LO has been vomiting all night. C sucks at being a care giver when people are sick. Why does lo get sick whenever I have a day off.

H still had a cough, snot and fluid coming out of his ear. Yuck. He at least ate a little food though, which he hasn't been interested in the past several days.

Have a great time everyone!
I have to go to a meeting across town later, pick up my mom who will randomly be in the city, then come back to my office (drop her at sbux?), then get kids and go home. After dinner my mom and I are heading to NJ my cousin's grandfather's funeral tomorrow. We will come back Saturday. Not quite as fun of a trip as Denver, but glad I'm able to go.

kim22 I’m home with B today but my company is small and doesn’t do anything for it. The lady who runs my DC brought her daughter in which I thought was pretty funny bc she’s there every time there’s a day off school or she has appt or anything. Plus she went there till she started elementary which was only a few years ago. So she’s just basically where she spends half her life!

B seems a bit more chipper this morning and drank some water and ate a full breakfast. He was up most of the night coughing but hopefully these breathing treatments will start working soon.
I’m hopeful to be able to bring him back to day care tomorrow and actually go back to work.

jewels I’m not allowed to bring them to my school when I am working. Like everything else, the day is far from what it was originally intended to be. My kids had their faces painted, got balloon animals, and are heading to a magic show. Lots of fun but not exactly showing them what daddy does at work lol.

B is acting so much better today. Still coughing a ton but eating better and happier. We just went for a walk and I think the fresh air was good for him.
My outlook has improved tremendously as well and I feel like myself again.
But jealous of y’all’s trip!
