I have to run to the grocery store for a few things and then we will check a local barn where I might sign Josie up for riding lessons. She’s been asking, and they’re having a 5 lesson special!

Morning! We had our family Easter breakfast and then went to the dunes, which was lovely. I think we’re lighting the bbq tonight, so we’re hitting the grocery store in a bit to get some supplies.

A has an unexpected day off (plant next to his caught fire, they're getting blasted with smoke so they sent everyone home) so we'll probably spend some time together without the boys today. They'll be at the sitters. I have some work to do but other than that, not much going on.

I am looking for a new gas grill. Anyone have thoughts or recommendations? I am conflicted because I can get a $200 Charbroil grill comparable to a $700 Weber grill. I usually just replace the Charbroil every few years but I would like to not do that, but is it worth the extra $$?

Scratch my no plans day. My uncle is coming into town for the weekend so I have to get the room we stayed in at my moms cleaned out completely so he can stay there. Good thing A will be here to help.

Wait Easter Monday is not a national day of over there? No but our school district had thursday through this monday as their spring break That’s smart. That way you give the religious group the days off without it being for the Holiday. |

Morning from the office. Today is Colin's last day off before going back for his last 2 months of kindergarten, which hits me right in the feels. The boys have dentist appointments this afternoon and DH is taking them for the first time. I think he realized how much time I've already taken this year for their appointments because he's also taking Chase to his follow-up at the ENT in a few weeks. Normally I'd be annoyed but he's been doing so much heavy lifting with me traveling, so I can't really complain.
In other news I reached out to one of my best friends this morning to check in on her. She's going through a divorce and we haven't talked too much lately. I know in the past that when work stresses me out, I isolate myself from friends and family. Things are good with DH and I've been trying to get the boys on the line with my parents at least once a week since they moved (which results in me talking to them as well, of course) so I'm trying to cover all the bases. We have a phone date tonight after the boys go to bed, I just have to keep it from going too late so I don't cut out time for DH. Sigh... I remember thinking I was busy before getting married and having kids. I was so naive.
Also I got 3 miles in at the gym today. My ankle feels a bit stiff when I first get started and I feel heavy thanks to the extra weight I've put on, but otherwise I'm so pleased with my recovery. I have an appointment with the ortho Thursday morning, which should be my last. I'd like to get back to running regularly ASAP, both to help lose a few pounds and to escape the gym. The people watching was fun for a while but I lose a good 25 minutes just driving back and forth, which could be better spent either sleeping or running.
That's about it for me. Hope everyone's week is off to a good start!

Morning. No school today and it’s raining. I’m cool with having a lazy day after the busy weekend. I’m probably going to pack everyone up in a little bit to go to the store for a soda.

Wait Easter Monday is not a national day of over there? Nope. My daycare is closed but it's a Baptist church daycare/school. I know some school districts have off today but mine doesn't. My sister lives in the bible belt and their schools didn't even get good friday off. I was shocked. |

Morning. Kid 1 went to Baba’s last night and I’m taking kid 2 there for the day in about 30 minutes. MH and I have the day off so we’re working on cleaning up the deck, house and outdoor furniture. Also, I can’t even walk in my storage area so we’ll be taking everything out, cleaning and purging then reorganizing.
Yay...to a day ‘off’

I have to leave work early to take Lady Jaye to the vet. She is exhibiting signs of a uti, so I want to get her looked at before I leave town. She has recently started living among the others again, but then over the weekend started wanting to stay back in Cadence's room, so it may be stress induced. We'll see what the vet says. I told mh to leave her in Cadence's room so that I'm better able to monitor her actual urination. Poor girl keeps going into the box with nothing coming out.

Hi!
No Easter Monday here. I’m dragging today. All the lights seem to be so bright in this place and I just want to close my eyes. I took unison last night to get some good rest and it’s probably still in my system.
I need to start packing for Denver tonight because the next two nights we have baseball and a girls night Wednesday for a coworker’s birthday. I’m excited, but getting so nervous for the trip!

Hello. Our dysfunctional family Easter went ok yesterday. Kids were suppose to be back to school today but DD threw up at 6am. I’m hoping it’s her migraine so we don’t wind up with everyone sick. She ate 2 pieces of toast and 2 bowls of cereal an hour after she got sick. My house was a mess so I guess it was good I am stuck home because I’m cleaning. I have also decided to work on my financial literacy and I just learned we are 401king wrong.

She threw up, fell asleep, got up 2 hours later and ate 2 bowls of fruit loops, Mac N Cheese, and strawberries. I could tell last night she was fighting not to get car sick driving home. Now she’s begging to go to gymnastics tonight and wishing she were old enough to drive herself to the mall. The 401k we maxed but it’s going to max too soon and then we lose the benefit of the employee match he gets. We didn’t have extra money until around when T was born and neither of us grew up with much so I’m figuring it all out myself. It’s a major first world problem. |
