Feel better soon mwhip and nam2013! Great news that your test jog went well joelies. Hi all. I was not ready for this week to start after working this weekend. I'm so tired and ready to sleep in. I'm still deep in contemplating GoT theories. Caramel M&Ms are the bomb.com A and I have never watched it and R dropped off seasons 1-3 last night lol. He says we need to experience it.

Just signed Cadence up for the after school program. Now I just have to hope I got her name on the list early enough that they have space for her.

I was resistant because I thought it would be total D&D-type nerd stuff. I got into it during the 4th season and have been hooked ever since. Bonus of getting into it now is you don't have to wait a million years between seasons.

Between work and parenting, I'm feeling like I'm failing- basically everyone. And we are so busy the next week that I have no time to catch my breath. I have so much to get done in such a short amount of time. I'm sorry. I know the feeling of being stretched too thin and feeling like you're coming up short everywhere. Try to delegate wherever possible and if less important things end up slipping, they end up slipping. I know it's easier said than done, but sometimes there's no real good alternative. This a million times. You know what? You ARE stretched too thin, and it’s exhausting. At a certain point though, all you can do is lower your standards and figure out what the non-negotiables are. Sometimes I feel like my standards for the state of disarray that is my tiny house couldn’t get much lower, though.

I checked ours earlier and registration appears to be open (they said 5/1), so I need to do that tonight. Will feel good to get that checked off the list.

When I emailed and asked them they said it would open 5/1. Then a parent showed me their registration flyer and it said it was opening it up 4/16. If it is EAC, you might want to check just in case!

So I just lose my mind trying to get everything done to the impossible standards that I've set myself. Stupid as hell.

We just got home from evie's appt. Nothing showed up in her UA, so they did an Xray. Her pediatrician saw lots of poop, even though I dont think shes constipated. She thinks maybe the full intestine is pushing on her bladder causing the feeling of needing to potty.
I'm not sure I buy it, but I'll try miralax with a probiotic. She said if she isn't better after a few weeks, to call her back and she would recommend a urologist. She said the urologist would recommend miralax first also.

mwhip glad there is at least a plan! Maybe the miralax will help! S is living the daily dose of miralax right now because she’s only going like 2x a week and it’s like rabbit poop.

S had a rough day at school today. She had a 7 minute seizure that looked different than her usual...and the nurse didn’t give her the emergency medicine that she’s supposed to get after 5 minutes of a seizure 😡. So I will be stopping to talk to her at drop off tomorrow and refresh her memory on the seizure plan...which is in her file. Then about 15 minutes later had another one that lasted 2 minutes. Her typical daily seizures only last 15-45 seconds. MH went and picked her up and she’s been acting fine. But the teachers (3 of them) have all texted me this evening to check on her. I spent my day out in the field working. I love getting away from the office!

Hopefully the miralax helps her mwhip, if not you’re right to push for more tests. Poor S lfig, hopefully the one teacher reviews her file and there wont be a next time. And you look great! How fun to get out of the office

On the bus home now and I’ll be tuned into the tv after the polls close at 8pm. The guy that usually chats me up at the bus stop has revealed that he doesn’t vote, we’re not talking now 😡

I had X’s parent teacher conference this afternoon. They said they baby him. I told them we do, too, and he’s thriving so keep up the good work.
One of his teachers said she reached out to an old professor to get tips as X is her first ASD student. The Special Education Professor (whose son is also autistic) directed her to tell me to get involved with TACA.
TACA is formerly “Talk About Curing Autism,” has been involved in the Green Our Vaccines movement, and advocates dietary interventions and supplements. So, yeah, NO.
But to say I’m horrified that an individual with an autistic child, who teaches future special education teachers, views autism as something to be cured and thinks it’s the result of “damage” would be a very serious understatement.

Omg cagoldi that is scary that he is potentially pushing his view on young minds of new/up and coming SpEd educators.

mwhip I hope it works. When did she go last? You can be constipated but still pooping a fairly decent amount so maybe there’s some hard stuff stuck in there. lfig wtf to the nurse! It’s so important you trust those who care for her. I hope she has an explanation or apologizes for her oversight. cagoldi I love that the teacher reached out. It’s so concerning that people in those positions sometimes have serious misinformation. I’m glad she talked about it with you. klong11 C sent your C a message on Snap. He’s going to make something for her at school tomorrow.

Today was nuts. The morning was super productive and the afternoon just went off the rails with one issue after another. At least most was dealt with and not left for me tomorrow.
C has just been the best lately (knocks on wood). He asked me tonight “mom, how was your day?” Never once had he asked! He also made me a “super special” Easter egg at school. ❤️

wedding she goes daily, MIL said she hadn't gone yet today, so last night would have been the last time. It's never a lot, but she usually goes once or twice every evening.

mwhip I'm kind of hoping that's it bc it could be a quick fix. My ped said most pee related issues for kids end up being constipation and it's super common. Keep us posted lfig, sorry for the rough day, hope it was just a fluke

Cadence did awesome at dance class today. The parents got to sit in and watch the recital dances. I told her the goal was to not have to watch the teacher for the moves and she did it! I wish I could send the video, bit it's too large and has other kiddos in it. When we got home we tried on her costume and it is thisclose to not fitting her booty. Good thing she only needs to wear it once! wedding She loved his snap. Her eyes got big and she got all bashful. It was a side of her I'd never seen before. LOL

Hey, Regular day over here. This afternoon we met friends at the park because it was so nice. I think it's supposed to rain the rest of the week so we had to take advantage of the nice weather while we could. joelies I'm glad your trial run went well cagoldi that is pretty terrifying. I hope the people he teaches do their own research. I hope you're feeling better soon mwhip and nam2013peachsmama hire a cleaning lady. You have so much on your plate right now that at least that would minimize one thing.

I vacuum and sweep the entire house daily right now... hoping for it to be dry enough this weekend to drag the dirt smooth and seed/straw.
