Morning! Date night was a bit tough last night since we talked through me needing to travel less. We had recently agreed to once a month but DH admitted that it's too much, especially right now as he's taking more on at work. I don't disagree, but I also know that travel has become an expectation of my role. Not that I have been (or expect to be) compensated for it. So I have to schedule a CTJ talk with my manager, though I'm a bit worried he may be out the door after the acquisition goes through. I sure would be if I was making that kind of money from it. Sigh.

Anyhow DH is heading to the grocery store then his Dad is coming by to work on the Murphy bed for a few hours. Not sure what to do with the boys in the meantime. It's supposed to be nice, so maybe we'll go to the trail.

Morning. Took the kids to see the floats from the flowers parade last night, it was disappointing. Found a great place for coffee and then went to the town fair, where the kids of course won lots of cheap trash prices 🤦🏼‍♀️. Furniture store to look at couches for my parents in the afternoon. Fun day, but After so many things, it’s a bit of an sensory overload, ready for this day to over .

Park and gym this morning, then I'm taking Dude to lunch and a rescued Reptile zoo when the little ones go down for nap. He's very excited about "hugging a snake."

A let me sleep in since I let him sleep off his cold friday and Saturday. I got up at 10, took a shower and now I'm relaxing on the couch waiting for their soccer stuff to finish washing. We were supposed to have pictures and 2 games today. But rain cancelled pictures. Idk if we'll actually have games. I'm kind of hoping not. It rained all night and I'm sure the fields are awful.

Yesterday was such a long day. But it was great to see SD perform. It was much better than the fall play and everyone sang with confidence that they didn't act with last time. But I had to drive 2hrs home in severe rain storm so that was fun. I'm going to be a grump today.

Back from the grocery store. I already hated going, but now with all of the instacart and curbside pick up people with giant carts blocking aisles and shit it just makes me want to skip it entirely.
We're about to head to the park for the birthday party that got postponed from yesterday. Then, when we get back I'll need to do laundry. Joy.

Yesterday we found out there's a deployment coming up in 2021 and they might need someone from my team. It includes pre-deployment training that may involve being gone a month or more next year. It's actually to a cool location, but the unit sucks and I can't imagine being away from my kids for that long. Maddie will probably be at a full-on angsty emotional phase by then if she stays on her current trajectory. Hopefully there will be a volunteer.

Our new sofas delivered this morning. So much better than our old ones.

The 5 yr old is a huge pain in the ass today. Shes going to MILs tonight since she has her the next 3 days, evie staying the night is one less day they have to get up early.

It warmed up so we had soccer games. J is all excited until we get there. Then he just kinda trots around and doesnt pay attention. M has real potential but hes very aggressive and uses his elbows when someone is in his way. One of his classmates from school was on the opposing team and they kept stopping to chat. It was funny.

Hi all! It’s been a busy weekend. Spent the weekend at my ILs and I threw my SIL a baby shower yesterday morning. It was nice, MIL drove me crazy on a few things, but oh well. We’re back home now. I just took the dog on his first walk of the year (bad dog mom here) which we both needed. The snow we got last week is 75% gone so hopefully it’ll be completely gone by the end of the week.

We spent the morning in the backyard and all that fresh air resulted with Chase napping in his room while the rest of us fell asleep on the couch as soon as the Masters was over. Now it's sprinkling so we're in for the afternoon and I'm glad we took advantage of the nice weather while it was here.

The car show was a bit of sensory overload but the kids had a ball. J of course loved the metro bus exhibit the most, ha. I was not impressed with the 3rd row spacing in most of the larger SUVs, and didn't find some overwhelming urge to need a minivan. The Subaru ascent is the front runner, followed by the pilot... I did love the VW Atlas, but I don't think it has great reviews, plus the whole scandal stuff. So basically we went in confirming what we thought, but easier doing it all in one location than driving around. And now we wait a few years until we can afford one😂

We went to an Easter egg hunt this afternoon. Surprisingly civilized, but we were on the slower side of things so the kids only found one egg each. Stopped at five guys for lunch.
Home now and I am trying to make a plan to clean out the basement this week, but I really don’t want to. MH is in allergy hell and I don’t want to do it alone. I may start bringing containers up two at a time and do it in the family room so everyone can keep me entertained.

Back from the park. The party was fun and Cadence came home sweaty and tired. Hoping for an easy bedtime tonight.

Church went pretty well. You can definitely tell the parts of the songs LO knew. He was the loudest kid there. Maybe that’s why they picked him for the special part. Went to lunch with my uncle and my aunt who came to watch LO. My uncles wife who couldn’t make church joined as well (she was at their church covering the nursery detail). Tried to hit up Gymboree one last time but it was pretty much cleaned out and the line was all around the store. Then the grocery store and now I’m cooking lasagna and doing more laundry.

My mom came and ate dinner with us and has been playing with the boys. I'm about to put them to bed. They didnt nap. I dug out my Easter decorations and I kept very little. I need to pick up a few things this week.

DD and I were at gymnastics from 9-5:30 today. She competed in the morning and took 1st on beam. Then we worked the afternoon session and then watched her coach compete. DH and the boys went to hockey then to the new house. I’m here now enjoying some cocktails with everything crossed that C will continue to sleep.

Hey. This morning we went to church for my niece/god daughter’s confirmation. Then to my sister’s house for a brunch following. The kids had fun playing with their cousins. After we got home I took a nap with S. Tomorrow morning, while H is at school, my sister’s SIL is coming over to tell me what she thinks about the house. She’s a realtor and I’m hoping she tells me we can sell our house enough to make a huge profit. DH isn’t convinced this is a good idea so I’m still working on him.

Are there a lot of houses for sale in the area? Would you be putting all that money back into another house? I know this is peek time for my neighborhood and there are only a handful of houses for sale that aren't new construction so the for sale houses go fast and for more during this month because we are close to the base. But we wouldn't be able to find one in our range in our district if we sold. Good luck getting him on board.

There are a few in our neighborhood, and the houses seem to be selling quickly and for asking. I am hoping that we make enough of a profit to pay off our debt and the remainder would be a down payment on a different house. I need to speak to a banker and do all of my due diligence before I present the plan to DH.
