Tied down Tuesday

flamingo, thank you for the suggestions. I like the patterned pillow you suggested, and I agree it goes with the flavor of our house. For some reason I had in my head the idea of a solid pillow for the bigger pillow and a pattern for the lumbar.

We want to do one set of each on each end. None in the middle. MH made us get the thinner width couch b/c he likes to sit up straight. I prefer a deeper couch, but sometimes it's easier just to give in. So we do not really need pillows behind us when siting up. I lie down on the couch a lot, hence the need for the pillows.

I think perhaps I need to take a day off work and go shopping without the kids so I can really see each option.

mamabear I'm team invite no one else. If the grands ask, just let them know seating was limited to parents and siblings, I wouldn't even let them know the option was available for 2. I also would probably avoid mentioning the graduation all together until afterward, so no one asks.

vino any update about your car? The dealership (mine, not yours) called me at lunch and told me mine was done. I called them to see what the issue was. Everytime I would start driving, it would make a ticking noise that accelerated as I did, or slowed down when I did. It would occasionally stop on it's own, but would start back after a few minutes. Apparently there was a LABEL on the drive shaft that had started to lift and was flapping in the wind. Seriously, they had to remove my drive shaft for a freaking label. Thank God for warranties because 3 people spent a day and half, plus a phone call to an engineer at Jeep, to fix this stupid LABEL.

Gotcha. Yes, I have double squares on each end...a 24” with a 22” in front. We are also pillow people, ha.

Oh my goodness, what an annoying little fix that cause such a havoc.  I'm glad it's all sorted out now.

Let me tell you about mine.  I'm so pissed.  So, we've had this car for 5 years, and every time MH drives it down the driveway he goes straight, which there is a scraping sound EVERY SINGLE TIME, like he is scraping something on the under carriage.  And every single time, I tell him, 'be careful' 'dont go straight down, turn your wheels, dont let it scrap' 'do you hear that? dont do it.'.  I'm not kidding when I say we've gotten into annoying fights about it.  Well, I'm right and him doing that every time had ruined the oil pan.  So a mere $640 later and 3 days without my car, I'm picking it up today.

I shall be going home and telling him that when I asked them what would cause this their answer was curbs. 


PS... i have zero intention of asking the shop what would cause this so i dont look like the idiot that cannot put two and two together.  So yes, I will be lying to MH.  Maybe between the waste of money and the shop saying it's the curb he'll effing listen and change his driving habits when he's leaving the driveway.

Just over purchased at ON. Got myself like 6 dresses that may work that aren't maternity but look like they may be workable.

Guise, how do I attract the nerdiest/obnoxious families to try to befriend us? There's a tball family that is just not blending in with the rest of the team..they parked near us and literally stood next to our trunk until we we're ready to walk to practice...mh had just arrived and didn't even get a chance to talk to him before I was locked in. This may be a long season. There is also a family at our preschool that I can.not.handle and the dad has suggested playdates, no way in the world. Maybe if our friends were bff's, they are not. This may be a fftc.

Ah, the joys of children's sports. 

I'm not joking when I say that I strongly suspect there were family members of kids on our tball team last year who cooked and/or did meth. In our case, WE were the ones who did not fit in, lol. Don't worry, though, we did not attempt to befriend anyone at their cars  

FFFC: we google-mapped the home where the team party was held, there were multiple cars-on-blocks in the yard. We declined to attend. 

Basketball this year was such a reassuringly normal/above-board group, it was great.

Their daughter seems to get a kick out of j, who is apparently a major class clown, so maybe that's why? The kicker is they have a 2 year old too, so they found me and N on the playground 🤦

Apparently, the kid has had to be reprimanded before for this behavior. I talked to the teachers and they said they will have another talk about how anyone can dress how they want or play with anything they like.

Dude’s little BFF said he wants to paint his nails purple so Atticus doesn’t feel alone.

That's sweet of his bff. A poor dad was so confused by E today and felt horrible about being confused. But all the kids in his class are great. E just thinks girls talk with a high pitch voice when he pretends to be a girl. Not totally wrong.

Sounds like you need to practice your RBF. Lol and maybe teach N while you’re at it. 😆

I can’t remember if I checked in at all today. Just a regular Tuesday here. H had a slight fever this afternoon but is acting 100% so idk what is going on with that.

One of our neighbors down the street put their house for sale today. I looked at the stats of their house and if they sell it for what they’re asking then we can sell our house for way more than I thought. If that’s the case then we might be selling our house and moving. Doing so would allow us to pay off our debt and start with a clean slate. If we are going to move I want to do it now before school starts in the fall. DH and I have to talk about it and figure some things out before we decide. Of course this had me looking at Zillow basically my whole shift at work, sorry not sorry.

Omg hers is so good. She will glower at people. I think mine is pretty solid but maybe I need to work on it. (It also took me about an hour to figure out the acronym 🤦)
