So, I started off strong. I joined a dietbet that started 3/13 and I got down 8lbs. But, I went out to dinner this weekend and enjoyed every minute of it and then screwed up Sunday so I was up a few lbs this past Monday. I have another week on my dietbet and I’m confident I can meet the goal. Before this weekend, I had already achieved it. I just need to be strict this next week.
However, April is a busy month and it’s going to be hard not to fall off the wagon. We have a ton of birthdays in my family in April, Easter weekend (hello chocolate) and I have a baby shower brunch, which means lots of food and drinks this month. I’m going to try hard to stay accountable.

I'm still getting over being sick. Hoping to go to the gym tomorrow and just do a really light workout to ease back in. But I'm still pretty miserable today so we'll see. I can breathe now but low energy and having bouts of nausea.

I've gotten 3 HITT classes under my belt now and it feels good to be doing something. Diet is as always the hardest struggle right now. The easiest and healthiest thing I can make for lunch is a salad but they are just not sustaining me for long enough and if I wait too long to eat anything, I start to feel sick. I need to go shopping and pick up some healthy snacks to keep at my desk. My favorite with C was nuts and roasted chick peas.

March was kind of terrible, but I maintained my weight, so that's good. Yesterday was my 1 year mark for deciding I needed to lose weight and get healthy. I've lost 40lbs in the last year (actually hit this several months ago, but I can't seem to lose anymore). I thought I would be further along, but I'm happy with where I'm at. I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing and if I lose more, great! And if I don't, that's fine too!

Ughhh brunch is the best and worst waitwhat. Always the best of both worlds. danib try going and getting your blood moving a bit. I’m probably nuts, but I always try to do something at the tail end of a sickness because it seems to kick it out of my system quicker. goldenlove do you need more meat in your salads maybe? I put so much in and such little lettuce that it’s probably more of a bread less sandwich than anything. But, it gets and keeps me full. Roasted chickpeas sound amazing!! I’m going to look for that.

I’m here I guess. I really really wanted some French fries and chicken nuggets, but had tuna salad that I made with cottage cheese instead of mayo. It was really good, but if M doesn’t finish the fries I just can’t let them go to waste...

jubilantsquirrel you look amazing!! sophiegrace Yea more meat will probably help. I usually don't add a ton because we make a batch then use it for a few days. Guess we should make even more. And I totally would have eaten the fries too.

It might start to brown before I can eat it though. BUT you did remind me that we used to buy those single serving guacs from Costco and I'd use that as my dressing most of the time. I'm adding that to my Costco list!

I toss the yolks in half of them so it’s mostly whites. And then add in a nut of some type for more fat. I like the guac idea and am going to steal it. I have such bad luck with my timing with avocados.

I’ll also take an entire big mama chicken breast and chop it up with strawberries, grapes, feta, and pecans. Handful of whatever lettuce I have and balsamic. Sooo good and refreshing. I love fruit in salads.

I'm addicted to yoga pants but I refuse to spend $100+ on a pair. Mostly because I know they'll be amazing and will ruin all my $25 pairs. But I like these ones. I've noticed that they all seem so to have different fabric blends, so be sure to read the individual descriptions for each option. But so far they've all been great and pass the squat test.

Mine come in a 4 pack of little cups. It’s already proportioned so it’s great!

I love that we can store them in the freezer and they thaw perfectly in my lunch bag so they're ready to eat. We used to always skip the quac at Chipotle and just use those too because it saved us like $3.

It was definitely much easier than making sure we had chicken breast cooked up.

Another gorgeous day!! So far I’ve gotten two walks in (2.5 mi each) with the kids and worked out while they napped, while H worked on the yard.. We’re about to go on walk #3.
This is the second weekend in a row I’m hitting 13-14k steps. But then during the week I barely hit like 4k. I think I’m going to start implementing an hourly or bi-hourly “get up and go for a walk” for myself.
I’ve also just learned about “SkinTyte” so I’m feeling a little better about potential nonsurgical options for my excess tummy skin.

I haven’t done a consult yet but I *think* I’d be an ok candidate. Ya laser skin tightening commonly used around the eyes and neck but can also be used on tummy and arms. Most people require 3-4 sessions spaced out about 4-6 weeks but some see improvement even after the first session. There is no down time and you can immediately go about your business after the appointment (they do caution hanging out in the sun but I think it’s partially based on the fact that the sun affects your skins elasticity. I believe it boss around $600-1k per treatment (around here). Google before and afters!!! I’m terrified of having surgery so for me this is a good option even if I only see like 60-70% improvement I’d be happy.
