Is anyone else's kid obsessed with the toilet? AJ is constantly trying to play in the water and throw his toys in the potty. He wants to sit on it all the time too If a toilet lid is open, ds2 will throw something in it (my phone, duplos, toy fire extinguisher, milk storage bottle lid, puzzle piece, you name it). We already keep the lids closed because our damn cat kept accidentally jumping into the toilet lmao.

C was up at 5 this morning. He has this dry cough in the mornings but it gets better after a while and doesn’t seem sick, other than a bit of a runny nose. Anyway, he was coughing after he drank his morning milk and ended up gagging and throwing up all over the both of us and the couch. Fun way to start the day.

Yuck.

So my daycare provider tells my H when he drops E off, that her back is too bad and now she can longer take any infants. But she's going to "work" with us until I get out for summer vacation. To say that I am livid over the short notice is an understatement. We were already starting to ask around but we were thinking it wouldn't need to be until fall. N is fine but she can't take E.

roloma sarahandben108 a big eyeroll to OTT inlaws. MIL is so proud that her son thinks to start a load of laundry or washes the dishes because he never had to do those things growing up. Um yeah after 10 years of marriage I taught him how to help around the house. grumpycat someone wrapped one of my brother's presents in that box he couldn't stop laughing. cakewench hope N is feeling better! Happy belated birthday cnf! Yes quinn, H is obsessed with the toilet! That sucks sarahandben108!

Sorry I've been MIA, H has been sick all week. Fever, then congestion, and now a cough. He was at the pedi yesterday and she said he's all clear it's just a cold. I needed peace of mind since I'm away tomorrow day/night and come home Sunday and go straight to a baby shower. Looking forward to a loungy spa day tomorrow and a yummy dinner tomorrow night. snuff9861 what's the story with using the vicks, i didn't think to try it to help with a cough.

+1 Bad behaviors are not going to be prevented just because it's a church daycare. N comes home and says the craziest stuff and there are only 6 kids at any given time at his daycare. And one of them is E! Two daycare drop offs and pick ups sound like hell. Next year when DD1 is in K, we will have two drop offs and pickups. I am not ready! Fortunately, both her school and day care are close to home. That definitely helps. I mean technically starting next fall, we will too when DD can go to TK. What grade can kids walk in on their own?! Haha

Oh no! That sucks!! Speaking of that dreaded dbl dropoff, are you going to look for a place for both? I’m so sorry!

Currently hiding from ds1. It's raining so I can't throw him outside like usual so he's up my butt. Cannot wait for him to start JK in the fall 🙌 laurensc927 I hope H is feeling better soon

It’s not recommended (especially on the chest) because it can be toxic if ingested so I never use it on chests, only back and feet if they’re in footies. It seems to help.

We do have some family that can help out right now. But N goes to K in the fall, so we are just trying to make it until June when I’m done with school. It’s not ideal but daycares are not common where I am and so it’s not like I can pull them and put them somewhere else immediately.

Happy Saturday, everyone! Any fun plans for the weekend? It’s foggy and rainy here so we’re going to a kids expo this morning. They have lots of games, activities, crafts, and stuff to check out. It’s supposed to clear up this afternoon so hopefully we’ll get some time outside.

Going to a local parks adventure day with hikes and kids activities.
Ds is currently getting into EVERYTHING! I guess he feels better!
Yesterday solo with the kids was exhausting.

pootsen, ldubhawksfan, those both sound fun! We went for breakfast and to superstore (like Walmart). DD is napping now and then we'll go to a 4th birthday party down the street this afternoon. Our friend is a good cook, so I'm looking forward to eating 😁

We've just bebopped around all day. We have to get some touch up painting done tonight and then clean up tomorrow. First open house since going on the market. Hopefully it's a good turn out since we haven't had any showings yet.

Hi, all! I actually worked today. I am still here for another hour and a half or so. But today was a much easier Saturday than we have been having for the last month or so, so I will take it. We don't really have any plans for the rest of the weekend. DD1 had tee ball today, and we had our sitter go to the game to watch DD2, because she is a tornado lately. We need to rearrange her room, or just get a drawer lock, because she can reach into her sock drawer and pull socks out from her crib...

We had dinner with our neighbors last night. We discovered that the monitor signal reached to their bonfire pit so I anticipate lots of summer nights around the fire once the kids are in bed!
We had ds2 dedicated at church today (finally!) so my sister and her family drove in late last night. Ds1 was up so late and up bright an early but wasn't too grumpy. Now we're all just hanging out while the cousins play 😊
