So great to see you bazi! Glad things are going well 😊 gosh those days of sleep training were dark... c just started sleeping through the night in the last few months and I’m so thankful. quinn so cool! How did he do? (Not sure if your talent show has a winner or not?) He was the best one hands down 😉 Lol. Yeah they had placed prizes but, I mean, it's a hs talent show. There were seniors with amazing talent. This one kid solved 3 rubix cubes one-handed in less than 3 minutes!! Another girl did a breathtaking contemporary dance. So, while I believe with all my mommy heart that he won the whole damn thing... we are extremely proud of him for even getting up on that stage in front of his peers and their parents as a freshman. I didnt have that bravery at 15! Yeah that is so awesome! I would’ve died if I had to get on stage at that age. Good for him!

Hi. My preschool dilemma continues! More staffing changes, with a few leaving 2 weeks ago, but got filled yesterday. Yesterday we also got notice that they have an opening at our church ps for DD in May. That would be 7 months of double drop offs. Dh has concerns about some lack of supervision when he picks up, and thinks that there will be less bad things that our dd learns from other kids (like calling me stupid this weekend, and shooting guns at us) at a Christian PS. I’m not entirely sure I agree. I wish I knew what to do!!!! ds1 and ds2 went to a Christian preschool for 2 years each. They did really well there, learned a lot, and made so many friends. I really hope things work out for you guys. I'm sure it will all fall into place when it needs to Thanks. I think they would do great at our church ps, it’s just a shame they don’t start until 2, because it leaves us in a bit of a limbo or mess of routine because of their age gap. I really don’t want to do 2 dropoffs until DS turns 2. Plus our current place is closer, provides Spanish and dance 1d/wk, provides lunch. I think they’ve gotten the teachers figured out. Idk. Dh still really wants to do the church ps. We need to talk it out but My laryngitis hasn’t helped that this week! 🤣

For me personally, I would not want to juggle two drop offs/pick ups unless each parent took a kid. Also, my current church preschool has a lot of scheduled days off so it would not have worked to be used as childcare, just something to look into.

I asked my friend who is a K teacher if she notices behavior or demeanor differences and she said no. Kids are sponges, so they can pick up food and bad behaviors everywhere! ^🤣 autocorrect is so true!! *Good*

N comes home and says the craziest stuff and there are only 6 kids at any given time at his daycare. And one of them is E! Two daycare drop offs and pick ups sound like hell.

It sounds non-sustainable!! Dh told me he would leave DS in the car at the church parking lot for pickup.....yeah that’s illegal. 🤦♀️

Congrats to you big kid quinn!!! Also, your district has a health teacher opening. I plan to apply but it says part time. Any insider info you could scrounge up for me? I mean, I can always just email HR too. Today is my birthday and I've been very "treat yoself" with anything I want to do or eat today and I don't feel bad since basically no one but my family even knew. I ate so much mac and cheese and red velvet cake from my brother's restaurant. And H got us cupcakes for when he gets home. Yum!

Is anyone else's kid obsessed with the toilet? AJ is constantly trying to play in the water and throw his toys in the potty. He wants to sit on it all the time too

Such a small world! When I figure out our itinerary, I’ll let you know. We will be “home” for much of the week but I know we will hit up a cubs game too

We would for sure be down for that!

Especially if it’s nice, the outfield splash pad is so fun for the kids! The open house is on Saturday and I am taking the boys. It is supposed to be 73* so if that damn splash pad is on there is no way I am keeping the 3.5 yo out.

Next year when DD1 is in K, we will have two drop offs and pickups. I am not ready! Fortunately, both her school and day care are close to home. That definitely helps.

Also, hi, everyone! I haven't checked in much here. H was OOT yesterday and today which meant I have been with the girls if not at work. I came back from vacation to find out that my coworker is leaving in a week or two. He was offered a manager position at the hospital he is per diem at, so it was a no brainer for him, and I definitely can't blame him for that. But we were already short one person, in a small lab, so this will really put us in a bind. We have two positions open for a 7 person lab.
Also, our union is having another strike next week. This time I think I am going to strike. I was at work for the last one.
