I pulled out all of our Easter/spring decorations last night, and I’m starting to think about what I will put in the kids m’Easter baskets. I’m probably going to go the same route I usually take: outdoor activities like bubbles, jump ropes, sidewalk chalk, balls, goggles, towels and swimsuits. This is our first Easter in the house and with the big front yard, I’m thinking about trying a little nighttime glow in the dark Easter egg hunt for the kids. Probably the night before Easter as no one has Easter Monday off here.

Cadence wants a scooter and a chocolate bunny. That's what she's told me thus far as to what the Easter bunny is bringing her. I told her scooters don't fit in Easter baskets and she reminded me that last year the Easter bunny just put her basket on top of the box of a toy that wouldn't fit. Damn, you're right, kid.

I prefer that to a bunch of crap.

I so wanted to be done with getting our stuff but we were going to do Easter at the beach with my sister and her kids so I was going to get all 7 kids similar stuff. Now 2 hockey and a soccer game on Saturday are screwing with my plans and I’m not sure where I could hide 7 baskets in that house (it has an attic but of course access is in the boy’s room).

I'm terrible, but I'm doing my usual beach/pool stuff (that I would likely buy them anyway ). I ordered these suits for Caroline ( One and Two) and she'll get one of those with flip-flops and a cover up. Still need to find some trunks/rash guard for B. B has been asking for a new pair of Natives since he saw our neighbor in some recently so I might tuck those in, too, since his flip-flops still fit. Maybe new goggles for both? My family usually goes a bit nuts with the Easter baskets/goodies so I will leave the treats junky stuff up to them eta: My aunt always made us beautiful Easter baskets so I'm continuing the tradition with my nephew. So far, he has a Biscuit the pup Easter book, some stacking cups for the tub, stacking ring set, and a Peter Rabbit plush book. I need to figure out some acceptable snacks for his age to put in a couple Easter eggs and he'll be good to go.

I plan to get the girls new swimming suits, little gardening tools/gloves, bubbles, bells for their bikes, a chocolate bunny and probably an LOL ball for each of them. We will fill eggs with candy so I’m not going to put a bunch in their baskets, they will get plenty.
