Hi from golf! There is nothing cuter than a group of littles walking in a line with their golf bags. lahdeedah FX for you on the job front, that would be a weight off, for sure. slenle very exciting! Glad your chat went well and is behind you. Resigning from my last job was so, so hard—probably lucky I didn’t throw up on my boss’s desk, I was so nervous. Glad things went smoothly today cagoldi

Today is the first time I’ve sat down since 6 this morning, other than a few minutes here and there during book club. It’s quite nice!
So we had a good meeting, everyone loved the book so it was a nice discussion, and the food was a hit. The sitter didn’t show up and never responded to my text, so not sure what’s going on there...? Our book club uses her monthly and while I don’t know her, have heard nothing but wonderful things. A couple of the moms there use her frequently so they were a bit 😳😬🤔 at her being MIA. Not exactly the way to help your sitting business. There were only five kids so we just kind of took turns running herd on them and luckily our playroom is close to the living room, so it was easy to keep an ear/eye out.

I am going to brag for a minute. I just got back from Madison's conference. She is the highest performing reader in her class and 2 years ahead of grade level on math. She's also very well-behaved in school. I'm so proud of her. Got her some treats from the book fair as a reward.

No helicopter today 😞. But it was a fun day and great to get out of the office. I learned a lot about prescribed burn and the prep work and organization that goes into it. Back to the office tomorrow to catch up on things I should have done today. 😜

Sometimes those days can be overwhelming. Shawshank is one of my all-time favorites. Had the misfortune of being released the same year as Forrest Gump (another great) so it missed out on the Oscar. One of Stephen King's best adaptations. I had kind of an odd crush on Tim Robbins when I was a teen.

So my grandpa is in the hospital with pneumonia and a UTI. He’s super confused and weak. My mom stayed the night with him last night. About 7am about 15 Drs and nurses came rushing in and checking vitals and examining him, a dr started talking to my mom about DNR, THEY WERE IN THE WRONG ROOM! My mom was like WTH?! It took about 15 minutes till they figured it out. So I’m real curious about the poor patient who was really in distress.

Humph n has a pretty red ingrown toenail on her big toe. Im glad I got her some bigger shoes, but I hope the socks aren't too constricting. I am looking forward to soaking her feet in Epsom salts 2-3 times a day per the internet, that sound like an easy task..

No matter how I feel tomorrow, as soon as DH gets home, I’m tapping out for a few hours. He better not stay out too late tonight. T called me a bitch and DS1 dropped that he has a math test he doesn’t know how to do tomorrow at 8:30 tonight while the baby was screaming. DD wins favorite child for taking care of the little boys, making me a get well card, and offering to “try to cook the steak.”

I meant to ask you today (or maybe it was yesterday) when you were talking about N's leggings being short, what size is she in? C is moving into 4T and I am kind of torn up about it, lol. Weirdest thing with shoes, though...so all her fall/winter shoes were 9's. There was some growing room but they fit her well. I measured her the other day and ordered 10's for some spring styles. They came and were literally falling off. Not sure if it was just these particular styles or what. Annoying. I guess that is what I get for trying to save money and order through DSW and not paying Dillards prices for them

N is relatively petite compared to j (85% vs 99%), but she is a string bean minus her hilarious toddler belly. These were gap 2t jeans/leggings.. she is in a mix of 2t and 3t leggings that vary in how they fit... The 3t length is better buy some are baggy which is probably worse than too short pants. I think we will be solidly in 3t for summer though, I think the green dress I had her in for picture day (I think I posted on IG stories if you saw) is a mini boden 3-4. I just got her size 8 sneakers from Target to get us to sandal season and they looked way too big but they seem to fit. What brand/style did you try? I feel like that can vary so much on how they fit.

I ordered Keds t-straps and some Sperrys in 10s. The Keds, in particular, were ginormous. They make half sizes so I need to have her try them on again and see what I need to size down to. Next time I will just take her to Dillards and have her fitted/try on there. Would be worth the extra $ to not have to deal with returns.

flamingo so true, worth trying on in store... Maybe ordering online later if you have the confirmed size if they don't have the color you want. I eye the following girls shoes but probably won't buy ever bc she will destroy on the mulch playground... Cientas, Chu's, livie ad Luca petals, and avarcas (the cutest Portuguese girl word these in J's class years ago and I about died). Keds are a classic too, we wore a pair of hand me downs last fall for a bit and I think we have some to grow into.

tallb I will check those out. I love Footmates and L'Amour for 'school' shoes and Saltwater Sandals (those things are the best for summer). I stalk Elephantitos (I think they are Spanish?) but they are so pricey...like, $70+ for a mary-jane. What I buy is probably bad enough, DH might kill me for those, lol. Interesting kid-shoe info: I stopped at Dillards kid shoes today and mentioned to the saleslady about the shoes I ordered being so big. She said Nike is the best, in her experience, in terms of children's shoes being "true to size" based on the actual foot measurement. She said she sees a lot of variation with other brands, but Nike is very consistent.

flamingo client as are adorable, dd has had them for the past two summers and they hold up well. I used to have Elefantinos as a kid, my parents didn’t have much, but always spend a fortune on good shoes for us . I the look of love saltwater, but really can’t justify €55,- for sandals. If I see some in the states, maybe I’ll buy them there.
