Hi hi - my neck is hurting and my headache is on day 3, which is not appreciated. I rarely get them and don't normally take anything for them, but may need to try some Tylenol soon. I just told my 2 local friends now that my parents know, so glad that's off my chest. I don't really care if people hear through word of mouth now. We got takeout last night from the Peruvian chicken place we used to go to about weekly, and haven't been back to since November. Good Lord we have missed that. Funny there are places close to us, but we are nervous to try, for all we know they are even better.. Any chance you are talking about Lima’s? MHs cousin who we visited in DC a few years back got Peruvian chicken from there and it was SO Good. Hmm don pollo but now I need to Google limas!

I'm waiting for A to get up and then we are headed to the park. Then I plan on pouring a glass of wine and speed clean and make dinner before MH is home. I'm sure a family walk will be in our plans after that!

kim22 could you hang out at your parents? I couldn't tell you the last time I used a key to get into my house, we always come and go through the garage, which has a keypad outside the door.

We hit the three-ager a bit before three. Then it went away. That’s where we are now, but I know it’s coming back.

I could go to my parents but I preferred spending 2 hours out in the cold lol. I have a garage with a keypad but it doesn’t have a door into the house even though it is attached to the house.

Oh my kim22 ! That sucks. I once got locked out of my house by S. She had just figured out the latch on the sliding glass door, she doesn't know what it does. But she likes to flip it back and forth. I had gone out, barefoot, to flip the chicken on the grill. She came out of nowhere and flipped the switch. I then had to walk barefoot on the gravel to the front door, only to discover it was locked. So then I walked barefoot over the gravel again to the garage and rummaged until I found the spare key that I wasn't 100% sure was there. I got lucky because I had no shoes, no phone, and closest neighbor is over a mile away. ETA: And I was super panicked that she was on the loose unsupervised in the house! Luckily it wasn't for long.

Hi! Annnnnd now I want to try Peruvian chicken--sounds delicious! DH has been all over South & Central American with work and always has had good things to say about the food. kim22 All the tequila for you! nam2013 I'm sorry you're still in so much pain...yes, I think stress can definitely exacerbate that type of thing. Hope you are on the mend soon. slenle & tallb I hope the headaches clear out fast. Busy day here...dropped the kids off, treated myself to Dunkin', did some shopping and hit Fresh Market, and came home to finish my book club book. Which was fantastic, btw...Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, if anyone needs a new book. I also picked up the new pillows for our sofa...well, part 2 of the new pillows. I think my eye/brain just needs time to adjust b/c it's a very different look from what I had. But I think I like it. LOL. I'm keeping my hesitancy on the QT since the trim I had applied to those things was a million dollars--DH might blow a gasket. I'm babbling...can you tell I've had 2 glasses of wine??

flamingo your post in the meal plan thread reminded me, it came to my attention this morning that Atticus has never doesn't know what ham is. He was pretending to act out "Green Eggs and Ham" by offering me some play food, and kept calling it green eggs and salmon.

I have failed at dinner tonight....
I was going to make enchiladas. I made a list so I could stop at the store and get ingredients. I went to store, but did not look at list. Got home, started browning the meat and realized I forgot the tomato sauce. So I shifted the browned meat to sloppy joes. MH goes to get the bread out....it’s stale and moldy 😬. So we had sloppy joes on soft taco shells. Lol.

Just catching up. I hope you feel some relief soon nam2013. I’m glad the kids seem better. What a day kim22! I hope the rest of it went smoother. Three to three and a half were the very worst for C and I. He was a ridiculous human being. I feel for all of those in that phase. I hope it’s short lived. I arrived in DC midday and just hung out for a few hours until my coworker arrived. Then we took a long walk and had dinner. It was nice and I should be in bed by 9. Which is good because I have a cold and my voice keeps giving out on me. I tried to FaceTime with C but he couldn’t hear me because I couldn’t speak up loud enough. Hopefully it’s better tomorrow.

Omg, C locked me out when Lue was a baby. She was in the high chair with a snack and I ran out quickly to grab something from the garage and he locked me out. I had no phone or key and my baby was eating in the high chair so I was scared about choking! I almost broke a window, but he ended up letting me in..

It’s a good thing my kid had a key or else I wouldn’t even have known who to call. DH and I did break our own window late on Christmas Eve our first married year because we were locked out. The window was old and lead to our 3 season room and then the inside door was unlocked. I had wanted to call the police to tell them we were doing it so no neighbors would call the cops for the glass breaking noise. We didn’t but no one did so then I felt less safe.
I planned to make a nice flank steak with veggies tonight but instead I drove through McDonalds. Oh well, I had planned on getting Taco Bell for myself for lunch but then had to race home without it when I noticed the delivery guy left my 2 new TVs on my steps in the rain at noon. So much for the 3:30-7:30 delivery window they sent me. The video of him attempting to shove both TVs in the 3 in. space between my doors made me finally know what happens to my students who never turn their work in.

guster yes, i've been getting messages like that the last few days. It almost seems like if your finger brushes the screen over those ads on Tapa, they pop up? Annoying, for sure.

My day is a disaster. I had to go in and out of the same store 3 times (shoes, wubanb that C dropped and they charged me wrong) and now I locked myself out an hour ago walking the dog. I have my dog, C, and my phone and that’s all. DH did not put back the key we kept in the garage and neither my sister nor my parents can find the other spares. DS1 will be home in an hour with his so I’m in the backyard for now. I don’t have my car keys so I will have to walk to get the other kids. I can’t even get a ride to pick up DS’s key because I have no ID so his school won’t let me in. I will also now not have my stuff together for all the things we need to do later, C will not have a nap, and we won’t be home until after 9 later. At least DH left me with a good bottle of tequila. Oh no; I’m sorry. I hope your day improved.
