SSDD here. Busy at work but leaving soon to relax at home for an hour before getting C and going to karate. DH will be home at a reasonable time tonight though. I woke up with a sore throat. I am hoping it will pass quickly. I don't want to travel sick next week. I love that idea inthekitty! trtlcrzy wtf! |

We had a wildfire today in the middle of nowhere. MH got lost 3 times trying to locate it 🤣. The helicopter finally showed up and gave us gps coordinates .... which were for someplace in China 🤣. It was a comedy of errors. They finally got to it and are now actively working on putting it out and conducting an investigation (suspected arson). So now MH is working late on that which means I have to cook dinner.

We just got back from dinner at Cracker Barrel...the cold, rainy weather had us craving comfort food. C fell asleep on our way there, stayed asleep in my or DH's laps through the meal, and finally woke up as DH was paying the bill in the gift shop (while holding her). I have never seen a more confused, startled expression in my life  She's now eating her 'leftover' dinner and B is watching the Gator game with me "to try and learn some things about basketball". |

lfig didn't I see on FB that they were doing controlled burns in your area today? how weird to have another (actual) fire simultaneously. Yes! We had a controlled burn today (and another each day through Sunday). So they had to pull guys from the controlled burn to head to the wildfire. But this is the time of year that it happens here a lot. But this one was just in such a horrible spot. MH drove for hours on back roads to finally get to it. Then my fire guys were on the opposite side of the river. So in order to avoid delaying their arrival by hours, they canoed across the river with all their gear to get to it 😂. |

Do our big floods will probably come soon with the spring rains. But hopefully we won’t get hit too bad this year. I figure we paid our dues in 2017 so the universe owes us a few mild years. Haha! I mean, how could she possibly have thought that was okay??? WTH According to H she has a hard time undoing the buckle. Well then tell me that and we would figure something out. I would be fine with her just using the regular seatbelt over her HBB in MIL’s car, which I could have told her if she asked. Grrrr! They also make a tool for grandparents for the crotch buckle. I forget what its called.... |

My parents and ILs also struggle with the buckle and Colin isn't too good at it yet. I have no idea what they do... I now wish I hadn't thought of that. LOL.
Today was the first day since my old manager left that I felt like maybe I can do this without totally screwing it all up. It was kind of nice.

C is in that difficult-in-restaurants phase right now--wanting to walk around, get under the table, etc. B is so easy to take out now so I keep telling myself we have to persevere and get thru this age and then we'll be golden. Everyone is very lax at preschool drop off so people take their time and get out of car to unbuckle, but I don’t think the elementary school will be that easy and forgiving. S is in the preschool at the Elementary. The first week of school as I was still learning what I needed to do...I was just following all the others and went through the drop off and pick up line. After the first 3 days, they politely asked me to not use the line because of the extra time it takes to buckle and unbuckle. 😂. So now I park and walk her to the door where her aide meets us. Then after school I park and the aide walks her out to the car. |

Just to make drop off and pick up easier. It doesnt take that long. For drop off i normally unbuckle him when I'm like 3 cars from the door, but I'm in their parking lot, not the street. And pick up he jumps in and starts strapping himself and I pull into a parking spot and get out to tighten him up. |
