I'm at work planning L's 3rd birthday party. She wants a sprinkle theme and I need help with favors. I think the bigger kids are going to get sugar cookie mix, cookie cutters and sprinkles. There are a few who are 1.5 and younger. Any ideas for them?

I’m currently on the shuttle to work. I have two walks with vendors back to back. If my manager shows up to them, I’m going back to my old job. So cannot work for someone who doesn’t trust me.

chrisy01 I'm sorry you're so miserable at work. Have you considered leaving for another company? I'm sure you get great benefits, but it seems like they're constantly screwing you. My garage door started intermittently working this week, so we had some guy stop on his way home last night to look at it. He couldn't really figure out why it's stupid, it's only 7 years old, so it should be okay. But we decided to just get a new opener installed tonight. I hope we got a good deal...I didn't even shop around.

Don't push yourself too hard peachsmama. Nothing exciting today. I'm not even at work yet and I'm already bored with it. I'm sick of constantly being assigned more work than the rest of my team but getting no recognition for it. Madison is becoming quite the reader and it makes me really proud. |

Speaking of reading, I've been in the midst of a stupid book forever. Even though it's not long I'm avoiding it because it's horrible. Protagonist is a weak female whose husband and daughter go missing and in response she falls asleep all lost in her thoughts about past relationship issues with mommy and daddy, instead of you know, alerting someone her family is lost. One of my friends said her New Year's resolution was to allow herself to not finish books if she isn't enjoying them and I need to work on the same. Life's too short to be aggravated by dumb main characters.

inthekitty I hate books like that! I can normally finish a book in a week or so, but those take me forever and I feel obligated (lords knows why) to finish them. I just finished the last Rosie book, nothing special, but a fun read.

peachsmama, hope you're able to get a lot done! Are you still thinking this weekend for moving?? I'm really hoping. But it really depends on what the furniture store says about where our couch is at. Hoping it gets delivered to their warehouse today in can be delivered to us on Friday. Internet goes in Friday. So as long as inspection goes well we should be good to go. |

wineallthetime honestly for a 9 month old I wouldn’t worry about the theme. When my kids were babies I never expected a favor and when I did I think it was usually like pouches and stuff

When my kids were babies I never expected a favor and when I did I think it was usually like pouches and stuff Normally I'd say the same, but the only kids are my kids and my 4 nieces and nephews so we typically go a tad bigger on the favors. For A's birthday each kid got a monogrammed superhero cape so it was easy to do the same for each kid no matter what age. My niece had an ice cream themed party in the fall and A and my other baby niece got leggings with ice cream cones printed on them and an ice cream cone shaped silicone teether. |

Morning! I am back to work today after a long weekend and a whirlwind STL trip. I had my eyes checked the other day and my vision has gotten worse. So I have new glasses ordered. And I am going to try contacts again. I tried them about 3 years ago and had trouble, but i want to try them again. I asked for daily's but my prescription is apparently a bit unique and they don't make it in the daily's so I will have to do the monthly.
My FIL texted MH the other day. It went like this:
"Went to the doctor, have to get an MRI on my neck next week to see whats wrong. K and I are going to get married on Mar 29."
Lol, don't you think that is news that should be shared in person or over the phone, not by text! And he just breezed over it. We knew they were engaged. But he last told us he didn't know if they'd ever get married. He just wanted the commitment.

Happy first day of spring! My favorite season! We still can get snow until like mid May so that’s annoying but I am still excited for warmer weather. Dropped H at school this morning. She wanted to be “fabulous” and wear a dress, tights and fancy shoes. I’m working on laundry because I’ve put it off for too long.

Morning! I’m feeling overly cheery today  first day of spring, sun is shining and I had my 12 week appt this morning with a strong heartbeat of 170! Picked up coffee and donuts to bring to the office to soften the blow of telling them I pregnant. My boss was actually very excited and happy for me. Sometimes he can be such a nice guy... lol. So my cheeriness might have to do with good news... or the latte and glazed donut giving me a boost.  |

I have managed to lock myself out of our travel system because I had accidentally hit the caps lock and didn't realize, then proceeded to enter my password 5028 times angrily because I knew it was right even though it kept telling me it wasn't. Lol. I have to complete travel for 5 of my fire guys and our administrator who can unlock me...is out till Monday. Shit. So now I have desperately emailed a few people to see if they can help. While I am awaiting a response I think I may catch up on a few shows online. Lol.

Hi!
Very busy morning at work for a change. The afternoon will be slow and I’ll probably leave early. I bought my gym clothes so I’ll be going there if I do. I also told M if I left early I would pick him up and we would go to the Y. He was happy because he says camp is boring. 🙄 Sorry kid. It was our only option. It was that or with the ILs for the week and that didn’t go so well last time for only 2 days.

Not much new here. Trying to be productive. Yesterday I didn't eat enough and was famished by the time I got home and mh scolded me for being cheap and not buying lunch if I'm hungry. So I obviously went to sweet green today.
I finally ordered my rothys as my treat for an A- in that class from hell, so I'm excited for those to arrive and it to warm up. I'm tired of boots all the time. Happy spring!
