I'd like to sit on my ass today after our busy and full weekend, but I have laundry to do and DD has swim lessons this afternoon.
I have to put the house back together for staging too. It looks weird with half of our possessions removed.

Blah, Monday. Mondays after a vacation are the worst. I just want to be back home snuggling DD.
In pregnancy news, I have started having mild BH contractions. I don't remember these starting last time until much later, but I'm wondering if I can just recognize them easier this time. Also, I'm 26 weeks today - only 2 weeks from third trimester!

Its monday, good news is H is home today.
Our light bulb went out in the fridge yesterday and everytime I open it, I'm legit weirded out. Its so weird how something so small, can be so weird! So, I'm going to the store specifically to get a new one and while I'm out run to the butcher. I tried to go yesterday, but turns out they're closed on Sunday. SIGH.

I went to buy prenatal vitamins, got sad because they're so $$, but then they rang up with an unexpected $8 discount! Happy Monday, indeed!
I also am going to put butt paste on my thong heat rash. Glamorous living over here today.

I had so many stretching pains in my abdomen over the weekend and today. This afternoon, I looked in the bathroom mirror and found a crap ton of stretch marks on my left side. Not sure if they are old ones from DS getting re-stretched, but I was like...

Taitai, the stretch marks on my tummy are from DS. After he was born they were barely noticeable. I only realized I had stretch marks when I was in a store dressing room with those harsh lights. But now they're really red and bumpy. I tell DS look what you did to mommy! He responds by poking my belly button.

I have 4 work days get through before vacation. Blah.
DS started camp today. I somehow did not get the memo that his group has water play on Mondays and I did not dress him in swim stuff. I'm failing at camp and it's only day one.

Viability day! 24 weeks today.
With DS I don't think I had any BH contractions. When I actually went into labor it took a little while to realize what I was experiencing was contractions. I remember having trouble timing them because they were inconsistent intervals and I didn't see the consistent increase like they teach you in birth class.

This and the whole abdomen will get rigid I believe, I did not get this either with DS but I experienced it for the first time last weekend for a mere 30 seconds but then I was actually having mild contractions by that point so....anyways I haven't felt it since then...most of what I am feeling is stretching and severe gas ( complaints in the symptoms thread ) SaveSave

Glamorous living over here today. ROTFL at your butt paste...genius though. A lot of cyclist use Noxema as an inexpensive anti-chaff. I never actually heard anyone discussing baby butt paste though. Hubs and I rode a lot pre DS and we use a brand specifically for cyclist if needed for longer rides - usually 70+ miles but really hardly unless we get rained on or get really really sweaty or when hubs goes on his double century rides but having the right gear really helps too. Also I am lazy and subscribe my pre-nasals via amazon. SaveSave

Mine feel like a tightening on the upper part of my stomach. With DD, I thought it was her moving up really high for the longest time. It would get super tight and uncomfortable and then slowly ease away. At one appointment, the midwife was getting my fundal height and told me that's what is was (she could feel it). Most people I know say they experience it in the lower part of their abdomen and can range from a combo of tightening to cramping.

Not sure if they are old ones from DS getting re-stretched, but I was like... Bummer! I was actually looking into getting some belly butter this week. I used Burts Bees last go around. I thought I wouldnt get any cos my mom nor my sis had any stretch marks. Even during a routine checkup in my 3rd trip- the Dr commented that I was lucky I didn't have any. Alas! around 37-38 wks they started appearing! So much for genes!!? Also this time, I wanted to try my own shea butter lotion since I ran out like 3 months ago and I have to reorder all the supplies now...will see how I do at my next appt. SaveSave

MIL babysits DS the majority of the time and my parents have him a couple of times during the week. Well MIL's gallbladder has finally had enough so she's having surgery to remove it today. It's pretty routine surgery and recovery time isn't that long. This probably works out better for her than having to wait months like the GI doctor has suggested and feeling intermittent pain during the wait. Just slightly bad timing for us b/c now I have to take the morning off until DH comes home from work because my parents are leaving for a cruise tomorrow.

DS is out on his morning walk with grandma! and the landscapers are demoing & jackhammering outside! So loud!!! I have to wrap up my quarterly taxes and also file some financial crap to the FEDs for my folks this week! I really really hate dealign with financial stuff! Also had hubs bring up the tub of baby clothes so I can sort through them this week. I never thought I'd ever go through them again...ever! but feel so blessed. arimaythea, yay! on hitting your viable stride!

littleowl913, hope your MIL has a quick recovery! Sucks about the upset plans though. Hopefully it won't be too long before you're back on schedule.

I was so glad to come to work today. DS was a nightmare all. weekend. long. It was a weekend to make me question whether I'm cut out for this parenting thing.
Other than that, Publix has their fried chicken dinner on sale this week so I just went and got some. OMG so good, but now I'm so full.

DD had a meltdown this AM, not sure why she needed her daddy so badly. She's been such a good sleeper since we sleep trained her at 8 months, obviously when she is sick or teething we have a few bad nights but lately she has been needing to fall asleep on us. If we leave her in the crib to cry it out it is the worst screaming. Like hysterical, it's so hard to listen to... if anyone has any advice I'm all ears... I think we may have to let her cry it out again. ☹️

I hit post too quick, the rest of our morning went well. I'm off work today... I dropped her at daycare and got most of the main floor cleaned. Right now I'm enjoying a pedicure, I had a partially unused gift certificate that I forgot about.

Also 26 Weeks here and having BH! My doctor said a lot of the pregnancy symptoms you had last time will come earlier this time, not sure why, but totally true for me! In other news Bachelorette parties suck when your pregnant, at least I got a break from Regular life for the weekend and sat on the beach!

If there is one thing I'd change about our small town, it's having a Publix closer to us. The nearest one is 45 miles away and we only go there if I am already in that town for something else. I might even look forward to grocery shopping if we had one.
