I’m on a dinosaur hunt. I need paper plates, some balloons, and some stuff to make a Dinosaur cake. I really can’t believe Charlie will be 3 on Thursday so I’m ignoring that and instead focused on finding fun stuff to decorate for him!

@nam, I was so busy this weekend that I didn’t get even think to shop or order and now it’s too late for Amazon to deliver for Thursday.
Today’s trip out is just to decorate for his actual birthday. Luckily, Target has the plates I want for his birthday party,so I’ll order them today.

Morning, we didn't sleep well and mh found 2 dead mice on a cricket sticky trap in the laundry room, so now we may as well list the house/burn it down. We had an exterminator come in December and they said everything was looking good...so much for that. I have laundry on the floor down there so simultaneously want to go do it all and never go down there again.

Morning, we didn't sleep well and mh found 2 dead mice on a cricket sticky trap in the laundry room, so now we may as well list the house/burn it down. We had an exterminator come in December and they said everything was looking good...so much for that. I have laundry on the floor down there so simultaneously want to go do it all and never go down there again. This happened to us when we first moved in. The cat caught one. Totally traumatizing. The exterminators were here the next day. They’re on standby now that it’s spring again. I know it’s where we live, but I do not want to share a clean house with those dirty things. |

I just ordered new elephant print toms! So its going to be a good day! Waiting to hear if the water sample guy needs me at the house or not. The boys want to go to the train place so we might do that.

Dh is working from home today so he took C to school and is picking him up for karate tonight. I got to work at 6:45 so I can leave at 3:15 and go shopping for C's new bedroom décor. I figure if I am changing the bed I may as well do the curtains, pictures, and desk accessories as well.

B has school, and C and I need to make Carters, Target and JCrew runs. I also told a mom in my MOPS group I’d stop by and take a look at her house and try to find a spot where she can fit in a desk. I’m regretting my offer, lol.

Morning. As mentioned above we have some extra cats hanging out. They are big fat cats, so they clearly belong to someone. But I’m afraid we might end up with kittens. I’ve never gotten our 2 cats to get fixed. One is untouchable. She wants to be near us, but doesn’t want to be picked up or touched at all really. I guess if we do end up with kittens it won’t be a big deal because FIL is wanting a few cats for his house to help with the mice. But I really need to get them to get fixed soon!

Yesterday I believe it was flamingo that asked if we were seeing any improvement in Sierra’s hands. I was kinda wishy washy in my answer because I wasn’t super sure....but today I feel confident in saying yes! We ARE seeing improvement! I saw her grab something this morning with a full hand grip for the first time since September! And they don’t seem as....floppy...as before! I think it’s actually working!! |

Great news lfig! You might try a humane trap for your cats. Cats are only pregnant for a little over 2 months and can get pregnant again within a week of birthing a litter. So one litter seems reasonable until it rapidly turns into 3+ within 1 year alone. |

guster do you have a party city near you? They have a TON of dinosaur stuff. I don’t know. I went to a party depot yesterday and they had a lot of Jurassic World stuff, which I don’t want. I’m going to a bigger shopping area this morning so I’ll definitely keep an eye out for it. |

Because the few times I have got my hands on her (to put flea and tick control on her) she has scratched the shit out of me in her panic to escape. It makes me sad and makes me wonder what she went through before we got her. She was a rescue from our park. I brought her home last July and thought she would come around by now but she hasn't. She wants to be near us...and she will let me pet her back for just a few strokes, but she seems super anxious about it, almost scared. So I make it a point to not mess with her too much since she doesn't seem to like it...but also want her to know that I am safe....I will pet her and then leave her be, so hopefully someday she will be more comfortable. A lot of people dump cats and dogs at the park  Pretty much every park employee has a pet that has been dumped. My sweet dog Macy (blue heeler mix) that we had for 10 years was a park rescue and she was the best. Makes me sad that people think that is an option, to just dump them. |

lfig, there is a place near Dallas that is apparently a known dump site. I saw a story about how this guy would go every day, EVERY. DAY., and there would be new dogs that had been dumped. There was one day that as he was driving away he saw a car pull up and dump a dog out and then leave, so he went back and got that dog too. It's ridiculous that people think that it's not a big deal. These animals have feelings! They know you are abandoning them!

I am on day 4 of this headache and just want to curl up in bed. I took Friday off to look at the other DC center, and I have dinner plans with a friend Friday night, but if I am not better by then, I will come home and try to nap for a few hours in between.

lfig and klong11 your stories are breaking my heart. Addie was found at a local lake with her mom and 8 siblings. Someone had just left them there. There are numerous animal shelters in the area that you can take animals to, hundreds of other options, besides leaving them somewhere that they have limited chance of survival if not found. It makes me hate people. What kind of heartless asshole could do that?
