Oh my heart. Read the whole thread. I remember that day. ""Someday, our grandkids will ask us if there was really a time when America discriminated against people who get sick... That’s when America soars: when we look out for one another. When we take care of each other. When we root for one another’s success."

Oh my heart. Read the whole thread. I don't twitter. Can someone tell me how to read a thread? When I got to his page I just see a bunch of tweets about a speech and can't figure out what belongs to this "thread" you speak of. ::ducks head in embarrassment::

So click on the Tweet, and it'll take you to the page. His first tweet is at the top, keep reading down his tweets that are connected with a blue line (once you get to what looks like the last one, you'll need to click on the "20 more replies" link to have the last ones pop up).

They're not doing the traditional 2 questions per leader at this press briefing with the Indian PM. What horseshit.

Jim Acosta is PISSED about the no-camera no-audio briefings so I'm not entirely surprised to hear that he went into today's gaggle with a bee in his bonnet. Good for him.

Thanks, sterling and @rocksforludo. I never felt I was missing out by not doing anything Twitter-related until I started participating on this board. For some reason I was expecting a thread that started with that tweet to be about something current (like people ratting out Trump), but then I got it. On the plus side, I re-watched Obama's speech and Amazing Grace made me cry. Can we please just once again have a president who speaks in coherent sentences? Is that really too much to ask?

I keep seeing all over twitter that the reporters shouldn't stand for the no-camera briefings. Tweets saying they should walk out or use their phones to record.
I don't know, I feel conflicted. Like, we shouldn't be normalizing this by going with it, but they still need to go and ask the questions. At least there's audio?

Yeah I know someone else said that by just boycotting the briefings, they would just be giving 45 exactly what he wants. So hopefully they just keep going and hammering on the press sec. Whoever it happens to be at the moment 🙄

Just redirect me to an external page where I can read something on the same page and not have to scroll through all your tweets and ellipses. :::shakes cane:::

I hate that we have to wait until October for arguments re: the travel ban. That will be a lifetime for the people caught up in it.

It's worse than I thought it would be... I'm surprised the Phillipines rating is so high. And yeah, we're basically screwed in foreign affairs moving forward. Like completely fucked.

Such timing. No one bit hard enough on the Obama/Russia election thing he was trying to push. Nationwide same-sex marriage was passed 2 years ago to this day. CBO score was bad for the health care bill. Pushback on no cameras for briefing. I'm sure there are more examples but I haven't dug hard yet. Disclaimer: I don't mean to be callous of the potential danger so many Syrians face each day. I just don't think our White House has that in mind.
