mwhip , I don't know how people survive on 5 days PTO. Does that include sick time too? At the vet clinic we got 10 days annual but only 3 sick and after becoming a mom those burned up quickly. I think you have a great group of coworkers, flexibility and better benefits so why leave. Plus that old grump sounds insufferable. If I didn't have a good job or hated my current position, I could probably make 5 days of PTO work. But it isn't very employee friendly, in this day. There is mention of sick time being available immediately, but it doesn't specify how much time that is. I'd definitely have to negotiate for more time, or they'd have to pay me enough that if I took time off without pay, it would be okay. I think I need to sit down and make out a list of all the reasons I will be passing on the position, even though they haven't sent me a formal offer. She left it yesterday that I needed to firm up what my salary requirement would be and let her know. I was wanting them to tell me what they felt the position was worth, then make a decision. I don't really know how to put a financial amount on the increased stress of managing 6 people, plus losing 20 PTO days the first year.

No. He's not the cancer doctor and I wish he hadn't said anything. We wont know if theres anything we can do until Tuesday when she sees the cancer doctor. We've all decided not to tell my mom, theres no point in stressing her when we cant get a plan yet anyway.

Still haven't heard back from my psychiatrist. I've left two voicemails and left a message with the receptionist to email her. In the meantime I am having major body anxiety and every time I see a mirror I'm obsessing over my lack of thigh gap and my waist. I'm driving myself nuts with this self loathing. I don't really know what else to do except wait for her to call back and try to stop yelling at myself internally every 5 minutes. I would be livid. Can you just show up at the office and wait to speak to them? I know it's probably not easy but I'd be looking for another psychiatrist. On a side note, I've never had a thigh gap. Ever. Even as a kid. It's very disappointing. The Dr's and therapists at this place basically work in different offices so she is only there on Mondays. I think I am going to try to get on a cancellation list for this Monday. Right now I am scheduled for the 18th. I am very surprised by her lack of response since she has always been really responsive and even called me back on Christmas day when she realized I left a message on the 23rd.
Re: thigh gap. I never had one before and then it appeared and now its only there if I push my butt back a bit. I loved that damn gap.

Don't forget to factor in the increased cost of insurance if you do put forth a requirement.

Can’t wait to see your waist and thighs working that pole.

Happy birthday to Arlo, wineallthetime! mwhip I agree with PPs that I would pass. You have a good thing going right now, and it seems like you would need something truly stellar to make it worth considering anything new.

Morning. Both girls are at school and I’m doing things around the house. I had another chemical pregnancy. 3 in a row now and it’s really starting to piss me off. So frustrating. When I saw my doctor last time she said if it happened again she wanted to do a test so whenever she gets back to my message I’m sure we will schedule that. It’s snowing, again, and we do not need any more of this crap. I just want it to warm up and be spring already. I need to get outside and put my hands in the dirt. There are a lot of projects on my list for this summer and I want to get started. I hope everyone who isn’t feeling well is better soon Happy first birthday to A wineallthetime! I hope his day is wonderful! wedding I hope she gets back to you today.

wedding, I'm sorry you're struggling. I really hope they call you back ASAP. And + 182 to no thigh gap. Plus, don't beat yourself up. You've done such amazing work on yourself and the past few years... don't let yourself forget that! peachsmama, sorry about your grandmother. I hope the oncologist is able to give you some good information next week.

Happy birthday to A wineallthetime ! cagoldi I was going to say the same thing about thigh gap, I've always thought it's kind of the way you're built. I have one no matter my weight (within reason) but I know people who are even thinner than I am who don't. I'm sorry trtlcrzy , that is so frustrating. I agree, we need spring. Being cooped up all the time allows me to obsess over stuff. mwhip Sounds like they really like you (who wouldn't??) but for all the points you've mentioned, I don't think I'd take it, unless you're just super unhappy at your current position. The job market is so strong right now, there are sure to be other things available in the future. tallb I just read a post on FB about that show, I'd never heard of it. Seems like women either loved it or hated it, very few 'in between' responses. Kind of interesting. A lot of the 'nays' felt like they couldn't relate to the characters.

Also, hi! I was under the weather yesterday with a milder version of what B and DH had this weekend. Ugh. Feels good to be up and about today.
B started golf yesterday and is *obsessed*. He's played with my dad, who is particularly good, and H but has never had any formal instruction. I think we have hit some winners with that and basketball this year.
I've got to go get the kids in a few minutes and then need to start getting my house in order, we have some friends coming over tomorrow for a belated Mardi Gras dinner. I have no connection to mardi gras but I like to make jambalaya about once a year, lol.

Yeah, I’m definitely not skinny and I will always have very heavy, thick thighs regardless of what I weigh, but ITG is a thing because I have super wide hips. So, pick your poison LOL. I’d take no ITG and slimmer legs/less matronly hips, but the grass is always greener, right?

Season 3 of Workin' Mom's is on right now in Canada, I watch it weekly and love it. I'm surprised at the hate actually, some of it is over the top but I feel like a lot of the stuff is relatable and what we discuss on the boards.::shruggy guy::

mwhip It's great that you've really mapped out the offer from the other company, a lot of people dont delve into the details to make a decision. From what you've said here maybe this one is a pass but it's great that you know whats out there to understand the 'worth' that you have for commute, family time, leadership, flexibility, benefits, time off etc, so when the perfect offer comes up, or maybe you just choose to stay where you are now based on your analysis of your current position.
