I got a horrible migraine last night. My vision went blurry 3 times. Usually it's just once and then I get the headache. At 9:30 I had to lay in my bed in the dark.
Today I get to stare at the computer screen all day...

I hope P is feeling better this morning cagoldi! I had my 2nd interview yesterday. I met with other managers as well as the purchasing team that lives local that I would manage. I enjoyed meeting everyone, it was informative and helped to see the way they interacted. There are 5 buyers locally. I met with one who has been with the company for 20 years with one of the recent college grads. We had a good talk; I was worried about meeting her the most, but things went well because our husband works in the same industry, so she was very open with me. Then I met with the buyer who has worked there 30 years as well as 2 recent college grads...and the long timer was not very pleasant. I don't get the vibe that he thinks they need someone in the position and I think he'd make things difficult/not forthcoming with information. Which fine, that's part of being a manager. The question I had for each group was what they liked about working there, what makes them get out of bed every morning. They all pretty much said that they liked their coworker, the work was challenging, but rewarding, and the CEO is 'Firm.' Oh, and their software is outdated and unsupported, so they do most of their work outside of it, making things cumbersome. The HR manager gave me their insurance coverages booklet. If I'm looking at it correctly, I would pay $100 more per pay period for not quite as good of coverage. They do have another plan I could move to, but it's more than $200 per pay period difference. I've asked her to email me that page and I'm going to talk to one of the girls in HR here to have her review to make sure I'm looking at it correctly. If I had to make a decision right now, I wouldn't accept the position. Today is also my 3 year anniversary at my current job...my boss brought me my envelope with my anniversary letter and money and sang to me.

Oh, and, if their policy is the same company wide, I would get PTO of 5 days after 1 year of employment. I currently get 20 days of PTO. Seven of which are already scheduled.

Thanks for the love for my sweet boy! MH is off and I'm working a half day. Planning on going to a fun play place this afternoon and then the kids and I will make a little cake for our birthday boy.

Lol, she just came in and like danced around silly and just sang 'Happy Anniversary, happy anniversary, happy anniversary, happy anniversary' kind of sing songish, jokingly. It was funny, not like some serenade or shit.

Morning!
I’m home with M2. The kid literally had a fever for an hour yesterday, then he was completely normal and bouncing off the walls. Oh well. We’re heading to the gym in a bit and I plan to start going through the guest closet and start packing/purging there during his nap. This day will be productive while I’m home. As long as he stays fever free today, I will plan to send him to school and have my friend pick him up so I can go do the inspection for the house tomorrow.

I'm going to the doctor with my grandma and my dad. Why do we need both of us? Because hes never taken her before and although has been to the office 100 times, shes convinced that he will get lost. So I'm here to chaperone...

Morning!
P seems to be feeling fine, but we’re keeping her home to rest.
Our case manager and the school psychologist are coming by this afternoon to meet X and figure out our plan for getting an IEP and transitioning his therapies to the district.
So I’m looking forward to that because then we should have a much clearer picture about how things are going to look going forward.

mwhip, I don't know how people survive on 5 days PTO. Does that include sick time too? At the vet clinic we got 10 days annual but only 3 sick and after becoming a mom those burned up quickly. I think you have a great group of coworkers, flexibility and better benefits so why leave. Plus that old grump sounds insufferable.

Grandma had a scan Tuesday and goes next Tuesday to hear the results. This doctor accessed her chart and read the results to us. Not good.... her tumor was 2x3. Its now 3x4.

Still haven't heard back from my psychiatrist. I've left two voicemails and left a message with the receptionist to email her. In the meantime I am having major body anxiety and every time I see a mirror I'm obsessing over my lack of thigh gap and my waist. I'm driving myself nuts with this self loathing. I don't really know what else to do except wait for her to call back and try to stop yelling at myself internally every 5 minutes.

Took the kids to the dentist. I guess j earned 5 guys bc he did let her clean his teeth, but I wasn't thrilled with him. No cavities at least.
I have moved on from being salty, the meeting with my boss went fine and she seemed to "hear" me. And then at the end when I told her about #3, she's like oh man, that makes a lot of sense. She's excited for me though.
I started watching working mom's last night in Netflix. I'm 2 episodes in and not sure how I feel about it yet. Maybe too close to home as I effectively just "mommy tracked" myself at work, but I'll prob keep watching.

Can you just show up at the office and wait to speak to them? I know it's probably not easy but I'd be looking for another psychiatrist. On a side note, I've never had a thigh gap. Ever. Even as a kid. It's very disappointing.
