laurensc927 , I hope your headache goes away soon! I had a really bad one Saturday night. No fun. Any tips? Tylenol is a joke, I might try some caffeine. Tylenol plus 500 mg magnesium citrate works well for me!

Had a random letter saying I owed £71 pound for something I got back in march. Excuse me?!!
Basically in the U.K. you get an exemption card when you register that you are pregnant for a full year from the date you wrote down. You get some bits for free, that are related to pregnancy or what not
I applied for the card pretty much right after I found out I was pregnant (Feb 25th) as I had to go into the place that you register for it anyway.
So when I picked up this item (that I normally have to pay for) I didn't pay for it. And now I randomly got a letter saying a should.
The lady on the phone was like "you know you have to pregnant not to pay for that right?"
Me - "well considering I'm over 5 months pregnant I do know that"
Her - "oh..." She cleared the penalty charge for ignoring that I had to pay to it, yay lol. I love being right 😂

grumpycat , I wondered if that was part of my issue. I used spf 50, and we were only there for maybe 2 hours, so I was surprised by how sore I was in some spots last night. It may be. I usually use a spray and have switched to a lotion during pregnancy. It's messier, but I do a better job actually applying it. I use the Neutrogena baby 50 or 60 for sensitive skin. Generally speaking, your skin gets more sensitive during pregnancy anyway so it's really important to make sure you are doing a great job with the sunblock if you are going to be out. I also like the neutrogena non-greasy 60+ for face sensitive skin. I will be using that this upcoming weekend. Not during pregnancy, I can get away with SPF 30 and reapplying every 1.5-2 hours.

I have to get my first makena-not makena injection this afternoon. I have built it up so much in my mind that it can't be nearly as bad as I am expecting. Right??
It is going to be a long, busy week at work so I am going to try to check in as much as possible but will definitely be lurking around at night at least to catch up.

Got home late last night from a weekend away and I'm paying for it this morning. I can't stay up til 11:30 on work nights, especially with limited caffeine It was fun though, and I'm glad we stayed all day. My son had so much fun playing in the lake with the other kids.

I forgot to add my convo with my MIL yesterday. MIL: Oh you're getting big. Me: You don't ever say that to a pregnant woman lol MIL: I'm worried about the maternity dresses we bought. Now keep in mind I was standing there in non maternity clothes. Yes I still fit into most of my regular clothes and she's worried about maternity dresses not fitting! MIL: Well I don't want to buy the coming home outfit until I know what the baby is. Me: The baby comes out of me I get to pick out the coming home outfit. MIL: It's tradition that the grandma does it. ME: Well there's two grandmas. MIL: You put one outfit on and take a picture and then change the outfit. Me: I had to get a needle in my ass for 8 weeks I get to pick out the outfit. I then had to call my mom to a)make sure I wasn't getting too big too fast and b) make sure my other comments weren't too bratty. Wut? FTR, I've never heard of this tradition. She is a peach. fancy it's definitely not a tradition, I'm thinking maybe her mom bought the outfit for MH to come home in but that does not make it tradition lol. It's her first and possibly only grandchild so she's excited but she also needs to understand that I've been waiting for this baby for years too so she's gonna have to go though me lol Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

I've been sick with a cold for the last week, and of course, continued to function like an adult human being despite this summer cold coming while I'm pregnant. In typical fashion, my husband woke up this morning with the same symptoms, and he's dying. He went to work, but he keeps texting me about how he's sure he has a fever and doesn't want to move. I can't deal.

bethkate the man cold is the worst lol! I woke up feeling crappy this morning and easily could have called out as I have time to burn but figured I'd do at least 1/2 day cause I want to get stuff done. Will he camp out on the couch all night and act pathetic like MH?

Oh hey, kicks to the cervix. I forgot how awkward you feel. I'm impatiently waiting to feel movement, I also keep reminding myself that at some point getting all those kicks and punches will probably start to feel old lol.

Aww fancy, that sucks so bad laurensc927, if there's any hope with your MIL and she's not just 100% bossy, maaaaybe you should say "let's go shopping for a bringing home baby outfit together!" bethkate, sorry you're dealing with a man cold in your house!

fancy hopefully there are other options but it definitely needs to heal correctly- even if that means surgery laurensc927 hope your headache gets better! Do you get migraines usually? Might be worth finding an automatic blood pressure machine just to make sure it's not related to high bp. Also whoa to your MIL- your responses are not bratty at all! bethkate sorry your H has a man cold- doesn't he know he can't complain about anything while you are pregnant? It's the rules!

And if it takes more than like two days for him to start feeling better he starts talking about how he has cancer or some other shit but will flat out refuse to do anything or go see a doctor. Probably because he knows he's a big whiner who whines.

I've been drinking a pint of water with ice every evening, and I deffo feel better from it, but only in the evening. I find it harder to drink during the day as much as this as DS just hijacks my drinks and I never see them again lol. And he HAS to have the one I'm drinking from as it's not the same as his?!? Kicking back on the couch with DD watching Super Simple Songs and eating cheese. Life is good.
I have been having cramps like crazy lately so I'm trying to make sure I drink enough water. It seems like I get them even when I'm hydrated, but I don't know. Our crib gets delivered this Thursday and then we are going to Ikea this weekend to get her dresser and nightstand. Just waiting for her bookshelves to be delivered and then we will have all the furniture for the nursery!

I did some shopping this weekend with my mom and SIL. It was fun, we just went to a couple consignment shops and mostly shopped the sale rack. It seems like most of the items we bought were never even worn. I got a few sleepers with zippers, I think those were recommended here instead of snaps! Plus a few cute jackets/sweaters and a couple cute outfits. And some pants with rainbows on them b/c obviously.

It's gotten better ever time for me! I'm going to be out of town all of next week and my nurse didn't feel comfortable giving me another shot this Friday to make up for it. So, now I get to take the loaded injection with me to Ohio and my brother's GF is going to give it to me next Tuesday. I'm hesitant as she just finished her clinicals, but she's the best option I've got right now outside of doing it myself, which lol no.
