brux I just priced it out through Costco and right now the MElia website is actually doing an amazing deal on the Family Concierge that beats Costco. Kids are free. $1500 credit, airport transfer, spa treatment. I ran it through both ways and it was actually 1K cheaper doing it directly through the website. So, we are going to do the Family Concierge Master Bedroom Swim up suite - 6 nights. sing2phins - I also looked into the place Cher mentioned upthread in Bermuda and it looked fabulous if you are going in June. I was just concerned about the weather in November. Thanks for all your help!! Now my only problem is going to be waiting for 6 months to go

With the Family Concierge, you get access to an additional pool and they have a lobby lounge where you can pour your own drinks!

jewels Here's my take on some of the restaurants and bar options, too, for you to come back to when you're about to go. For all dinners other than Naos buffet, you need a reservation. Naos is the main buffet. We did most breakfasts here. The also serve lunch and dinner, with the dinner having a different theme each night, like Mexican, Italian, Asian, etc. We liked some themes and not others. We loved dinner at Vento. The hummus and chocolate pour-over dessert were perfection. We did hibachi at Bana. It's also a sushi restaurant, so you have to specific what type of reservation you want. Dinner at Mole was good too, it's a fancier Mexican place with yummy margaritas. We didn't like dinner at The Market. Skipped it completely the second visit. You also get access to the adults-only side of the hotel for dinners/bars, but your kids would have to be in the kids club or with babysitters. I usually sent H into the martini bar to get me a drink. We tended to do early dinners and then set up shop in the couches in the central area where the nightly entertainment is. It can get really crowded, so we liked having post-dinner drinks and DS got ipad time while we waited for the entertainment to start.

jewels that $1500 resort credit is pretty much worthless, so don't get your hopes up. It's like coupons for room upgrades and $ off bottles of wine. We never did any of that stuff.

Thank you for the info brux! I will definitely have to remember to come back and read it before we go. And I figured that about the $1500 credit but the price is still pretty awesome even without that.

We did not do a swim up. The kids wanted to swim at the pirate ship pool.
The 1 bedroom suite we did.
We did not do family concierge and didn’t see a need for it.

For dinners we liked Mole the best. We also enjoyed the hibachi restaurant. Honestly I enjoyed all the restaurants there. We were pleasantly surprised because all inclusive dining is usually mediocre at best. As i said before, the only thing i didn’t like was the beach. It has a big smelly rock and seaweed that ruins the experience. I wonder if other Melia hotels have good restaurants too brux. I’d like to try out a different location with a better beach if the restaurant quality is the same.
