We’re watching season 7, the beyond the wall episode. This episode drives me insane. How come when John killed the head guy at hardhome why didn’t a bunch die? How did Gendry make it back so fast? Why the hell are they not all carrying dragon glass weapons? This is the dumbest expedition.

I just watched Hardhome today after watching Battle of the Bastards. I watched the season 6 finale too and now I’m trying to rewatch all of season 7 before the new episode. DH might have to work and I’m trying to decide how much I love him. I’m not sure it’s “wait until he can watch GOT” love 😂

Random thought of mine. I don’t know if it’s because it’s been seasons of buildup (of everyone kind of meeting up again or for the first time), but season 7 seems really rushed to me!
This could just be because of my binge watching though, maybe it felt different watching it live. But I guess too that they only have 7 episodes Vs 10 for that season.

I’m just in shock at how quick it seems to be ramping up! I think it's because they had passed the books and were basically just gunning through their own storyline now. I wish the earlier seasons picked up the pace at times but I felt like season 7 and I imagine season 8 could have slowed down a bit. |

Can you stream HBO shows live on HBO Now? I assume so, only because we are able to stream live (on east coast time, even!) on the HBO add on to Amazon Prime. |

Season 7 went way too fast at times. I worry about season 8 having a similar pace.

Season 7 did seem to go fast but also the plot was just stupid so that it added to the rushed feeling. Like I'm sure if they didn't want to just end the show, they could have figured out a better way to have Jon and Dany meet and convince everyone about the army of the dead. But as much as I love this show and would love it to continue, I'm kind of happy to see how it ends.

I didn't mind Season 7's pace. It made up for all the time Dany was wandering the desert somewhere or the Lannisters were continuing to be terrible and winning. At the end of the day I am a simple lady who wants good dialogue and to be entertained.
Season 7 gave me that.

From listening to Binge Mode, I feel like I am way off in my feelings about Aryas journey. They talk about her getting so "dark" and what kind of path she is on and I'm like YAAASSS GIRL AVENGE THE STARKS!!!! THE NORTH REMEMBERS!!!!

The pace of season 7 just didn't fit in at all with the rest of the series. I mean, Gendry spent about 3 full seasons in a boat just rowing around in circles in the Gulf of Mexico. Then in season 7 he ran from Fargo, ND to The Stanley Hotel, sent a raven to Dany at Dragon Breath Lair on the Coast, Dany receives said raven, rounds up her dragon troops and swoops down onto The Walking Dead in about 36 seconds.
I don't mind them picking up the pace at all, but it just doesn't fit it with the pace of the other 6 seasons.
