I’m just reading all the cheating articles/twitter comments with eye rolls. So much pure speculation. People want to gossip, I get that - but I mean...it’s pretty obvious that a lot of this talk (especially the Harry being mad at Wills stuff) is just basically fanfic. This is why I wouldn’t read twitter or tabloids if I was in their position. I can imagine how upsetting it would be to read these authoritative comments/stories written by people who don’t know you at all....making really significant statements about your private life/marriage/family relationships....with absolutely no evidence or personal relationship with you to back up their claims. I’d just be like - who TF are you to confidently assert all these things about me? Yuck. I imagine this is how QEII feels about ‘The Queen,’ ‘The King’s Speech,’ and ‘The Crown.’ Shruggy guy. I think the difference here is that all those show/movies don’t portend to be documentaries/journalism/the truth. Every single one of those productions acknowledges that they are fiction - based on true events- but fiction nonetheless. While the Queen might find that annoying, I think at least everyone realizes that those movies and shows take an artistic license - it’s acknowledged and accepted. These articles and Twitter comments, on the other hand, present themselves as fact - authoritative and confident. However, they don’t offer any evidence - nobody is going on record. That’s what would bother me the most if I was a royal. Random people on twitter or gossip columnists claiming to be spouting the truth/fact, when really they’re just grandly speculating. That confidence - if that’s what you want to call it - is what would tick me off the most.

I don't think they acknowledge the fiction aspect of the shows as well as they could.

I thought it was a more thorough disclaimer than The Crown has.

I know we have moved to the other thread, but I am catching up here. Sure that twitter thread could be false, but something is different about Wills and Harry and it isn't just because they are both married now. Something happened.

Harry has also changed with the press. He used to be very friendly and interactive. I think he is just more protective and reserved now that he is a full time royal and married. My guess is that Wills really did warn him about getting married too quickly. This is the long relationship guy. He must have thought Harry was moving at lightning speed and said something.
