jewels I have not read responses yet, but I recently read an article about how anxiety can manifest as stomach pain. It's an actual physical response, so barring a gastrointestinal issue, that could be what's going on and he's not lying. I'll see if I can find the article and link it. That just breaks my heart if that's what it is. Last night when we were heading upstairs to bed he grabbed my arm and cried "don't ever leave me mom! I never want to be away from you!" I just feel so bad that he's taking it this hard. But then when MH facetimes, half the time he barely stops what he's doing to say hello.

Omg I cannot with the loose teeth, I saw on FB or IG that slenle 's N has one, too?? I don't remember when i lost my first one but it was at least Kindergarten, if not 1st grade-age. We need to get some family pictures scheduled this spring b/c I want a few last shots before B loses any teeth. I feel like once the permanent ones start coming in, they immediately look so much older I didn't cut any teeth until after my 1st birthday. And I didn't lose any until I was like 10. I think I lost my last baby tooth when I was a senior in high school. I was hoping they would go that route lol. Same - I had to have 4 teeth pulled at 15 b/c I needed braces and they hadn't fallen out yet!

I had all of my teeth pulled by the dentist accept one that I dug out myself because my permanent teeth wouldn't push my baby teeth out.

I'm sure it's hard to witness, especially when you have little control over the situation. My 6 y/o is just a naturally anxious guy, and complains of stomach pain every night. I'm linking the article I read below because I ordered the workbook she mentions. This is just from a blog that was linked through Positive Parenting, but you can Google it and there are many more medical articles on the subject. loveandmarriageblog.com/kids-say-my-stomach-hurts/?fbclid=IwAR14JVVV5lvxgdme26UPLWvOm1GqSXgie23mYrFby1ERfks_6KCotLek3SU

dapostrophe My mother was positive I'd end up with an ulcer as a kid. I would get so worked up and worried before big tests beginning in elementary school. I'd be in the bathroom forever before school and she'd have to drive me so I wouldn't be late.

tgrimes, klong11, he has been going to the bathroom regularly, although I had noticed they were (TMI) kind of like little stones? But then last night before bed he had a good one. I told him I thought that he would feel better after that, but this morning he said it still hurt. mwhip as long as he doesn't need a shot, he likes the dr, so that wouldn't work! I have been saying that he can't have treats while he has a belly ache. So last night we were at a play date with some friends and they brought out juice boxes (his favorite thing) and I told him no, it was too sweet if his belly hurts. Then they had all sorts of desserts and I only let him have one small one. I explained why, again, and he said it doesn't hurt now! I told him he has to go 2 days without it hurting before he can have those treats. But then this morning again... Does he just say it hurts in the morning. I wonder if he’s just really hungry? I know when I’m really hungry my stomach hurts a bit.

jewels It looks like there is a workbook called "What To Do When You Don't Want To Be Apart" for separation anxiety. Might be worth a shot!

She just has the most perfect baby teeth and I’m sad thinking about big awkward teeth coming in. The one that is loose isn’t going to make it much longer. I bet it will be out by the end of the week. She first told me it was loose back on her birthday so it’s been a long process.

As much as he misses MH, when he FaceTimes, he won’t interact as much. Sometimes he will want to show or tell him something, but then he ditches him and goes about his business.

@dapstrophe I think it’s in the dsm under symptoms of childhood anxiety.

Add M to the loose tooth club. He asked me if his was loose last night and when I checked, to my surprise one of his front teeth wiggled. He was so excited. I checked within the last two months and none were moving. It’s good timing because the tooth fairy visits their class this week.

I remember feeling pretty pervasive anxiety at the age of 6 and getting a lot of stomach upset from it, too. It did result in vomiting a couple times. Definitely the result of major instability in my home life and moving constantly. S is a pretty sensitive little guy, right, @73jewels? Will he talk to you about anything that’s making him nervous?

It's so bad that my BFF knows if I am calling her from the bathroom it's really bad news 😬

We went to a play place and L bumped her lip on C's head. She screamed, lots of blood and wouldn't get off my lap after. She also hasn't spoken a word since it happened 2 hours ago. Poor girl.

Ugh I'm sorry that happened to you. Yes he is sensitive, but I wouldn't say nervous or anxious particularly. He usually will talk to me about his worries when he has them.
