lahdeedah I swear by Nautica towels, I have used them since I left home at 19. Each person in the house has two towels, colour coded obvi, and they get washed 2 times a week. I have replaced ours only once since moving into the house in 2011. 2x a week?! Your towel usage and laundry schedule is clearly much higher than mine!

I don't bathe the kids daily in the winter...nor myself 😂 I tend to be an every other day type of person unless I've worked out, which is rare. I guess I have multiple towels and just grab another and throw dirty ones in the hamper for whenever I get around to it.

IDK, I feel like I’m a pretty big #houseworkslacker but I wash them at least 3 x/week? I’m on top of doing laundry over here, but putting it away is a completely different story. I’m sorry about the rough bedtime with S being upset over your H leaving, @73jewels. That’s a really long time for anyone, but feels especially long for the kiddos, I bet.

Especially me, I’m a sweaty, sweaty sweat pig and I would stink to high heaven if I didn’t shower daily, regardless of whether I worked out or not.

I bathe every day, no matter what. For me to miss a day I have to be so sick I physically can't.
Even in the summer I do not bather the kids daily. We'll wash face and hands at bedtime but that's it. Baths are usually every 3rd day in the winter, every other in the summer. I know we talk about it this every so often, and it always makes me feel like a bath slacker. Am I the only one waiting so long with the kids?

FFMC: I still have towels that I brought to college in 1999. I swear they aren't threadbare, don't have black spots, and are still soft. Bed bath and beyond

Summer is different with sunscreen, sweat, dirt...
Admittedly I am not up on my laundry schedule, keep in mind I didn't have a washer in my house until very recently, so I'd go like 1.5/2 weeks and we were legit out of clothes before doing it.

If I bathe him more in the winter his eczema is out of control.

Kids take a bad every day. It’s just part of their bedtime routine. Plus Ds plays outside every single day at school, come rain or shine. Since we live in Holland, more often than not, this means rain and thus mud. He gets so dirty no amount of washcloths is going to get him clean. I’m more of an every other day kinda girl.

Everyone in our house bathes daily, H sometimes 2-3 times a day in the summer. I only wash my towels (not Hs) once a week. It has never occurred to me to do them multiple times during the week.

Kids are bathed every day, daycare is gross and full of germs so I just cannot place them in a bed to sleep on clean sheets knowing that. Others do, that's cool, you do you, zero judgement here. My favourite time of the day is when they are clean, in clean jammies and hop into bed.
FFMC: In the summer both kids get stripped at the door when we get home, hands/face washed and clean clothes on for the evening until bath and bedtime.

This was us too, until there was a thread on GD that some people only use their towel once and listed all the germ reasons why...so I changed to twice a week, I dont think I could get behind use once and wash routine.

Oddly enough, I wash my towels 1 time per week (Sundays). B's get washed after every bath, and S uses his 2 times then washed. I realize that's sort of weird. But with my kids' bath schedule they are probably washing 1-2 times per week anyway.

Re:Towels - I use the same towels (1 for hair and one for body) for 2-3 days, then throw in the dirty clothes to get washed whenever I get around to it. Growing up I insisted on 2 new towels every day. My mom griped at me about it constantly. Once I moved out on my own and started doing my own laundry I decided I could use the same towels for a few days. Lol. Mine are from Kohl's. Not sure the brand. But I like them. I also got some new ones from Zulily last summer that I LOVE! But also don't know the brand.
Re: Bathing - I am an everyday shower person. I need it as my "wake up". Sometimes I even soak in the bath in the evening. In the summer I shower in the evening as well if we have been out doing anything active. Which is a lot. Sierra gets a bath every 2-3 days in winter, summer is everyday.

No wonder I have so much laundry, I wash every towel every time anyone uses it. DH and I shower everyday as does my oldest. DD showers at least every time she is at gymnastics which is a minimum of 3 times a week. T usually asks to shower every day because “I don’t want to be so stinky.” Even the baby takes a bath most days because he likes to wear his dinner and it’s easier just going from the high chair to the tub. We may need to reuse towels once I go back to work, I need to find 40 free hours in my week.

I am working my fingers to the bone today. Just trying to cram a bunch of stuff in. Preparing for another possible shutdown. It was a busy weekend for us and I only had Sunday to get things done around the house. So I did approximately 5,326 loads of laundry yesterday. I got *almost* caught up. Including a car seat cover that S leaked through a diaper on Saturday. I am ready to go back to my regular job. This drive is killing me for this temporary one. Also getting home so late. I don't think I want to do it permanently. But there would be some benefits to it too. I am so conflicted.

The girls and I bathe every other day. DH does at least once a day, sometimes twice. We use our towels for a week and then I wash them, usually on Monday. I have Vera wang towels from kohl’s in my master that I’m really happy with.

vino I'm with ya, no matter what time of year or daily activities, the kids get a bath every night. I think this helps keep their bed linens cleaner, too. DH showers once or even twice a day, and I usually shower daily. (Sometimes I skip a day...oops). I wash towels weekly and we pretty much use the same ones all week, unless they start smelling musty or something; I do change out washcloths after a couple uses.

Bed bath and beyond I have some BBB ones from freshman year, so '03? But they are dog towels now...I mean, they're still perfectly fine, but they're deep pink and haven't gone with my decor since college, haha. I also think towels are being made larger nowadays, which I prefer. Also Team My-Mom-Holds-Onto-Towels-For-Way-Too-Long. Hers weren't quite as bad as some here, and she would buy new ones periodically, but she would keep the old ones in the rotation. So you couldn't open a bathroom cabinet without an explosion of towels. Like, OK Mom, these are from 3 wallpapers ago and you still only have 2 children, let them goooooo.

tgrimes, I'm so sorry that M is sick again. I might have missed it, but did they say when they'd get the results back from the myriad of tests you did? cagoldi I hope X recovers quickly, poor little guy No. I’m sure he already looked at the X-ray and the only labs I’ve gotten were the immunoglobulin a, which were normal. I’m wondering if he’s waiting for the poop results before calling me.

So the person who's job I am working left for a promotion to another park. But her H still works here and lives here. So she was in town over the weekend but was working some overtime to help me with some budget reports since as a temporary person I do not have access to everything I need to compile the reports that are due this week. So she came in to use my office (which is her old office). I think the world of this person. She is super kind and genuinely a good person. But I had a thing of lotion that I brought back from Fiji that I had sitting right next to the computer. I use it everyday. It is suddenly gone. I know she had to have taken it because she is the only person who was in here. It is just weird to me. I don't care that much. It wasn't too expensive and I have another one at home. But I guess I just find it odd that she would take it because I would not have expected that from her.

Just had my ultrasound. Still have a little girl lol. She verified again. And omg. She was moving all over. Her little hands waving and wiping her face. I had tears rolling the whole time. Shes so beautiful. Eta: still waiting to see the doctor to make sure everything looks good.
