Work has been crazy busy the past few days so I just got all caught up. Today was my Saturday so we took DD to the zoo, she loved seeing all the animals and since it wasn't too hot almost all of them were out and active.

curmudgeon, so sorry your MIL made a scene. I would be pissed too. Sometimes grandparents just don't think but to make a scene is so not ok. Last yr I kinda got mad at my mom cos someone brought DS a present even though I told everyone no presents and she made him open it immediately. I felt bad for the other people whom did not bring him anything. I had to explain its an etiquette thing plus also if presents were opened, it would be done all at the same time which is what we did when I was a kid too! Duh! Does she not remember? And we had bday parties every yr until we were about 10. Really mom!

rebeccabunch Oh no - I'm sorry the fever is not going away. I would be concerned too. Did the doctors say to call again or come in if the fever persists? Sucks this is happening over a weekend. I do know pregnant women can get asymptomatic UTIs, which can cause fevers. So sorry you are dealing with this  , this! I once had a trace of leukocytes in my pee sample during a routine check up last pregnancy and DR asked if I was feeling any burning sensations and took my temp which was normal. But I felt nothing out of the ordinary so she's just said to watch out for symptoms and check my temp for a fever in case it persisted to a UTI. I was drinking tons of water too. Anyways never got anything. Sounds like you know what to do if you still aren't feeling good. Hoping you're back on your feet tomorrow. |

The day started out rough simply because to get DS to go out I usually do all the packing for extra clothes, snacks, water etc. Hubs was clueless where things were 😤 It was frustrating but we made it out and DS had such a good time petting, hugging, shoehorning himself between the animals and to our horror checking out the animals butts! Ick! We also discovered they had a pond with loads of koi fish which he was excited about too. I basically moved from benches to chairs all around the garden center lol! And tried my best not to drool at all the plants I wanted to get but can't. Cheap thrills over here. It was nice to do something as a family and we got home just in time for lunch even though I ate a complimentary hotdog whilst there!

Yesterday at DS's bday party, I brought the cake out and was trying to round up 30 people to sing Happy Birthday when I heard singing already. I turn and it's MIL, SIL, and like 2 other people lighting the candles on their own and singing to him. I told MIL I wish she had waited until everyone was around, or at least me and H and she got really defensive. She started shaking a finger in my face and yelling oh it was me who started that? Then screaming I apologize over and over. I told her to stop yelling in my face and keep her sarcastic apology. And now she's not speaking to me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ My like was for sympathy. We moved on mothers day then spent a month at the in-laws, so we were supposed to have mothers day today. Even with an extra month, H did not have my present ordered yet. I may have cried after he told me and went to work on homework. My birthday is next week, and I'm not exactly holding my breath for that either

trinitrotoluene, maybe give him the benefit of the doubt? You guys had other priorities with moving and with his new job no?... but if you were expecting something then I can understand the disappointment. Hubs and I aren't gift givers...at least I am not..guess I will have a UO for this week. Hopefully he'll do something for your bday.

I'm mostly upset because he asked me for and got a list of gift ideas from me on Monday - including links to everything. Then he never ordered anything. He didn't so much as say happy mothers day. |
