Whelp - the egg free cookie dough recipe I posted yesterday wasn't that great. Too much brown sugar taste...if I had to edit the recipe, I would switch out white granulated sugar for about 2/3 of the brown sugar. Oh well...my favorite is still the nestle tollhouse choc chip cookie dough - raw eggs and all 😀
Other than cookie dough - we had a nice start to the weekend. DH took DS grocery shopping and DS loved it. It was the first time DS has ever been to the grocery store, and apparently DS kept pointing to all the food he wanted and placing it in the basket. He was Mr. Popular with the grocery store staff too!
No plans tomorrow - probably a dip in the pool and trip to the outdoor playground for DS. The exciting lives we lead 😂😂

Morning! I did a sign painting night with friends yesterday, it was awesome but a late night and I'm tired today.
Going to the farmers market and then to test drive some mini vans!

DH is mowing and lawn rolling and other yard maintenance stuff today. DD is dragging her toys from one room to another via her shopping cart while I'm attempting to clean/organize our master bath.

Got laundry going here and used a burst of energy I got to clean up DD's toys that I've been avoiding. Probably going with my sister to a LLR pop up (her friend is the consultant) and that's about it for us.... getting closer to my H being home and I can't wait

DS requested crepes for breakfast which is one of the things I make on weekends so my mom had to make them. I feel bad 😔 she has to do so much. Usually she has the weekend off from babysitting. She must be tired. Our carpenter could be coming today so I need to figure out a decent lunch or dinner for him instead of leftovers. I might have hubs throw hamburgers on the grill instead of tomorrow. Also sewing needles are a PITA around an active toddler 😤 I also need to plan on keeping the freezer stocked since I can no longer do my marathon prep and cook. Unfortunately my mom will have to help so bit by bit will be better for her and I feel fine so as long as I can sit I should be able to help her chop, dice, peel etc. Thankful hubs grills well so as long as I have stuff marinated and weather cooperating we're pretty set. If I feel good tomorrow we might venture out to a local garden center event. They have a petting zoo, a few kids activities and loads of benches I can park my ass on. DS would love that. Hope you ladies are having s great weekend. thatgirlrachel, sounds like you're having a blast at the beach.

Hey! My dad and the guys came over this afternoon to help H load up our PakRat (similar to a POD). The house looks weord with a bunch of stuff cleared out, but I've got to get it cleaned and stages so we can get it listed.
Everyone is exhausted, but we're going out to dinner. Tomorrow we're heading to the new house to help the owner move some things to the curb for trash pickup. He's a single guy with health problems, so we're giving him a hand.

The weather was fantastic here so DD and I played outside all afternoon and H grilled for dinner. We actually got DD to try a hot dog, kiwi, and corn on the cob (she's previously had corn but not on the cob). I can't wait to tell her therapist on Monday about the progress we're making in the food department. It has been so much work over the last 9 months but we are finally seeing some payoff!

I did a majority of the packing, but they did all the heavy lifting today. Lol I mostly directed traffic and loading of the unit.

mkrupar I hope you guys have a nice time at dinner - you deserve it with all the hard work you have been doing. That's really nice of you to help the owner move some things too. 😀

Yesterday my cousin, aunt, and uncle were in the area for a lacrosse tournament so we went to see one of my cousin's games and then had lunch. Spent the afternoon watching DS play with the water table.
Today we are going into the city to have lunch with friends.

Yesterday at DS's bday party, I brought the cake out and was trying to round up 30 people to sing Happy Birthday when I heard singing already. I turn and it's MIL, SIL, and like 2 other people lighting the candles on their own and singing to him. I told MIL I wish she had waited until everyone was around, or at least me and H and she got really defensive. She started shaking a finger in my face and yelling oh it was me who started that? Then screaming I apologize over and over. I told her to stop yelling in my face and keep her sarcastic apology. And now she's not speaking to me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Who on earth brings their own cake to a birthday party? Hearing some of the stories here makes me soooo thankful for my MIL. Sorry you had to deal with that! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Heading home from vacation today. DD has had the absolute best time at the beach. Due to the excitement she's had very limited naps everyday and she has still been so sweet. That's makes it easier on a six months pregnant momma. We've had the best girls weekend with my mom but I am ready to get back home to H.
I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend!

thatgirlrachel thank you! It was our cake, but I went to turn off the patio fans that kept blowing the candles out and then round everyone up and she started on her own. I thought I was really non confrontational about it, just a hey I wish you'd waited. I didn't get mad until she started her defensive yelling. Like I was somehow in the wrong. Whatever. It feels good to vent.

curmudgeon Your MIL sounds insane. What kind of an adult screams at ANYONE during a kid's birthday party? I hope you don't have to interact with her very often. Yuck.

Normally we get along fine. She doesn't like to be told she's wrong and she can't admit it when she is. I got texts from friends after the party asking why she was yelling at me. Lol so she showed her crazy side to other people.

What an annoying thing to happen at YOUR sons birthday party. As a mom of boys I'm committed to to having common sense and knowing my place.

And guys, my feeling better yesterday was a fake out. I started parenting again and cleaning and my fever came back. So far no fever today but that was 4 days of fever. I ended up eating a lot of popsicles and having a bag of frozen peas on my back of neck/forehead all day. I'm really worried about my body temperature being elevated for that long. Tylenol was barely touching it.
I'm more positive lounge news, I watched the first three seasons of the show Younger. They gave them on Hulu now. The first season was a little saccharine but it ended up being a real cute little show. I'd recommend for easy breezy watching. Anyone seen this show?

rebeccabunch Oh no - I'm sorry the fever is not going away. I would be concerned too. Did the doctors say to call again or come in if the fever persists? Sucks this is happening over a weekend. I do know pregnant women can get asymptomatic UTIs, which can cause fevers. So sorry you are dealing with this

So sorry you are dealing with this Thank you all of you! 😘 I'm going to go to my primary care doctor tomorrow if the fever comes back again. Someone my work was sick for 5 days with similar symptoms. She never thought to take her temperature but I think I caught something from my office. But I'm def going to see a Dr if it comes back.

Ahhh...that makes sense - especially as viral stuff is so easy to pick up and can cause fevers. I hope this is your last day of dealing with it - what a pain Like mkrupar said, lots of fluids and rest!
