Tonight at bedtime M was extremely compliant and almost happy to be going to bed. I thought, heck yeah, I’m finally doing something right. And then the stinker pulled out her snack cup of cereal that she had hidden behind some stuffed animals. I’ve never seen someone look so proud and pleased. Next time maybe she should wait until I leave....
I have a BOB and UB g-luxe, but have the Mesa bucket seat. American Airlines just changed their stroller gate check guidelines (or maybe just started enforcing them) and BOB is too big/heavy to go anywhere with us anymore. The double stroller debate is killing me, but the vista with extra seat seems to be getting great reviews. And I would prefer the in-line version over side by side just because of what we do with it. The price though...woof. If we use it as much as the bob (3-5 x/week & trip) it’ll be worth it, but if we don’t. Eek. I thought about getting the City mini for our next plane trip, but if we end up with the vista maybe we should just get it now and not add the extra seat until fall time. My end game plan with it is to keep it as a single for plane travel and then when little man is able to use it, carry him in a carrier through the airport then pack the rumble seat as a carry on and attach it when we get to our destination. That was longer than I wanted it to be, I’m sorry! This stroller debate is annoying AF.
Ok, I’m just going to lay out all my stroller thoughts... Pros: I have loved my Vista. Totally worth the price tag IMO. I have a 2014 and used it as a single then a double with two seats then the single seat with piggy back board. On mat leave with E, I walked to and from dropping O off at daycare twice a day for a year and it has held up, even in moderate snowfall. I love it for the city because I need an in-line and the big wheels are great for sidewalks and streetcar tracks etc. The basket is amazing and I can push it with one hand even when two kids were in it. And unlike the fluxes and many other strollers, it sits fully upright and reclines fully too. It comes with a bassinet that we used for overnight sleep for both kids as newborns. The newer model (2015 and higher) has multiple configurations for two kids in seats/ car seat/ and bassinet. And I believe both seats recline (the second seat doesn’t recline in my model). It resells nicely, so you could look on local BST pages to get a good deal. Also uppababy is known for good customer service. Cons: although it is good for some grassy pushing and uneven roads, this is not an off-roading stroller. Don’t expect to take it hiking or on trails like the Bob. It is also not a jogging stroller if you decide to take up running. Although there are multiple 2 kid configurations, you have to buy adapters to get the right heights and they recommend the lighter child to be on bottom. (That said, I only ever had O in the lower seat, it just makes it harder to push). The price, enough said about that. But when the new models come out, they do discount the floor models. If you are interested in that route, I can find out from my H what time of year they do that. That’s all I can think of for now, but let me know if you have more questions. Sorry to everyone else for that walk of text. I left it here in case anyone else wanted a stroller review sophiegrace

danib, I need to know more! I hope you’re not getting sick! I think mostly its my body telling me to slow the fuck down. I've been like this before, though never so bad that my clothes hurt me, usually just pressure. I'm gonna spend today doing as little as possible and hopefully I'll start to feel better by tomorrow.
