I’m sorry about H tgrimes. I hope you guys (and your mil) don’t get it. Guess which one of us didn’t get the flu shot... MH. Another post NOT to like. Are they putting H on Tamiflu? Anecdote: Last year when we all got the flu, Colin was the only one who didn't get it, just because the doctor didn't think he was sick enough to justify it. None of us had any issues with it. |

They did put him on tamiflu. I’m not sure how much it will help since we’re pretty close to the 48 hr mark. We’ll see how he does on it. |

JFC, now insurance has denied the pre approval request for the IVIG infusions. Same Reason as the other med they denied this month, it’s considered experimental for her diagnosis of motor apraxia. I will call the doctor tomorrow, but I’m getting really frustrated. In 5.5 years, with all her medical issues, we’ve never had anything denied, and now 2 things in a few weeks time. We may have to jump to surgery to get any improvement in her function if they won’t approve it.

I would definitely appeal it, but I realize you might feel like time is of the essence. I’m sorry they’re being such jerks. |

I hope he gets over it quickly tgrimes! Also, how does one get stool samples from a 5 year old? Just bring out the potty chair again? This time they gave me a plastic thing to put in the toilet. You could also put Saran Wrap under the seat. But yes, you could use the potty chair, too. Those were the 2 options I gave her. |

I’d still hesitate to go that route unless you are made of money because the drugs are $15,000/month (for me, could be more or less depending on dose and type), but it’s something to look into. |
