Ok. Beta semi hell here. Monday beta was 61. Weds it was 100. The doc ordered a “stat” beta for tomorrow morning so we can see what it does and possible schedule an early us? I’ve already got one scheduled at 6+3 but I think they are worried it may be ectopic which would be extremely rare with IVF. I’m stressing out about tomorrow’s beta. I hope it’s good and we can all stop worrying.

thinkchocolate05 I didn't test for a few days then did yesterday and got much darker lines than I have gotten so far. Now trying to stop completely but it's tough! I have a bunch of cheapie tests that I keep using- I can’t stop either! My H has been laughing at me. Same!!

Question: I’m 34, but will turn 35 about a month before my due date...will they consider me AMA? (I’m thinking yes right?) I have this same question. I’ll turn 35 in July.

I think turning 35 during pregnancy just depends on your insurance provider. Most cover advanced maternal age testing, but some may not, especially if your birthday is close to the time of delivery.

I have this same question. I’ll turn 35 in July. Does that change anything with appointments and testing? I'll be turning 35 next month. Insurance may be more willing to cover a NIPT, but not always. You may get referred to a MFM for a consult or to genetic counseling. You may end up with monthly growth scans or NSTs and BPs, or you may not. It really just depends on your personal history and the particular pregnancy, and I’ve seen all variations of these in my time on the boards.

I was quite floored to see as much as we did. I wasn’t expecting to be able to get a HB, either. The tech was able to see it with the external probe, but couldn’t get measurements so the other one it was. I was fully expecting bad news, so I’m in a bit of shock still. Glad it was a good appointment!

This baby used my 32yo eggs and we already did testing so I don't think it'll make much difference for me. Unless they want to give me an extra ultrasound... I'd be all about that.

It was the same lab, 48 hours apart. Today’s beta was 157. So another 60ish% increase. My doc said it’s a wait and see. I have a standing order for betas and I will go every other day until something changes and/or until my ultrasound on 2/22. Fucking beta hell.

Lurking here but kalirn I wanted to wish you the best of luck. My betas were slow to rise (very similar numbers to yours for all three draws) and I’m now 32 weeks along. That waiting is so hard.

kalirn I would think it's a good sign that they're steadily rising. Continued thoughts ❤️

Also lurking but if beta doubling time is 48-72 hours (not just 48) you have plenty of reason to be optimistic!! kalirn

kalirn did you have another beta today? I go tomorrow. The lab isn’t open on the weekend. I’m SO nervous! My nausea has practically gone away (although I’m on B6/unisom bc of past HG) so many that makes me even more nervous. Hopeful the tomorrow has a nice jump.

Also lurking but if beta doubling time is 48-72 hours (not just 48) you have plenty of reason to be optimistic!! kalirnThe first one was 63.7 hrs and the second 73.8. Together they average 70 hours but I’m scared shitless. My past has generally been bad news when they don’t double in 48 so hopefully this is just a new experience.
